Description

Successor of last year’s edition Katy Perry’s Mad Potion arrive son the market in June 2016 in pale pink flacon with a ball-shaped cap in white marble. Outer carton is designed in the same style, combining pastel pink with elegant white marble. The second Mad edition was announced as a perfume whose power we won’t be able to resist!

Katy Perry’s Mad Potion is the first fragrance presented since Katy Perry has been collaborating with Coty, created a a new ‘pillar’ of her perfume line. The new edition Mad Love raised a lot of dust in the media because it is speculated that its name was actually inspired by verses of the song by Taylor Swift Bad Blood, “You know it used to be mad love”.

Unlike last year’s edition where the accent was on a combination of vanilla, musk and orchid, the new fragrance KATY PERRY’S MAD LOVE highlights juicy fruity notes of lady apple sorbet, mara strawberry and pink grapefruit, established as key notes of the composition. The heart is composed of bleeding heart flower, peony and jasmine. Sensuality and warmth is provided by velvety musk while precious woody notes of sandalwood and coconut contribute to depth and longevity of the composition.

Exclusively presented and available at Kohl, fragrance Mad Love attracts attention with its design and details. A love arrow is illustrated on the neck of the bottle, while a relief ehart with inscribed name of the fragrance decorates the body of the bottle. Mad Love can be obtained as a 30ml Eau de Parfum.

I will start off saying that this doesn’t project for a long time, it dies down to a skin scent fairly quick (1-2hours). But I do enjoy the scent.
On me, the initial spray smells like, fruity sorbet-y sweetness (fruits being, Strawberry, Coconut and apple) I then smell florals (maybe more Peony) and then the vanilla joins and for a while its just this beautiful almost edible scent and it dies down to a skin scent. The last Skin scent is a nice sweet vanilla musk, maybe with a hint of coconut and strawberry.

To me this is a scent that a much younger crowd will enjoy. The price point seems high for that age group though so I’m assuming its not intentionally geared towards them. My eleven year old daughter had to have it and of course she insisted that I try it on as well. (Such the perfume head already lol. You just gotta love her.)
On her this smells very sweet like a syrupy fruity sweet and very girly as in pre adolescent girls on summer vacation with a lot of candy and ice cream shop money to blow during a day out on the boardwalk.
On me however it smells like herbal essence conditioner but with a separate almost plasticy note and another very sharp note that keeps wafting through which absolutely smells medicinal like penicillin to me.
The longevity is very good however because after showering as I’m now smelling my wrists, I still can smell it albeit it now has a much more closer to the skin scent and seemed to have washed the not so good notes away and at this point its truly a dead ringer for herbal essence long term relationship minus the creaminess that probobly comes from the conditioning product itself. That makes me. Wonder if this would be better in the form of a lotion.
Overall I think its to childish of a scent for someone my age and far to sweet to be tolerable for me to smell on others for to long or if they were to overspray it.

Sweet, cute and bubbly scent! IMO it’s pretty similar to Bath and Body Works Merry Berry Christmas. Sweet yummy berries!

Mad Love by Katy Perry is a flanker perfume that didn’t deserve to be a flanker perfume….if that makes sense. In comparison to Mad Potion, the “original” pillar scent, Mad Love is much better, smell and longevity wise. Mad Potion, deemed a flop perfume due to it’s underwhelming smell and lasting power (a light fruity scent with the lasting power of 10 minutes) didn’t deserve to be released before Mad Love, in my honest opinion.
Now onto the scent, to me Mad Love smells like strawberries and cream, like a lot of people are saying…or strawberry yoghurt/custard. I also get a light powdery scent upon dry down. The comparisons of this perfume with Meow are very unnecessary, as they are two completely different scents. Yes, they’re both vanilla-based scents, however Meow is more Pear/orange scented while Mad Love is berry (strawberry, raspberry) scented. Longevity is pretty good, sprayed a tone of it on myself in the morning and it’s 7pm at night and I can still smell it. Not a fan of the packaging, but I don’t care as long as the scent is good, and in this case it is.
I rate this perfume an 8/10, I very much enjoy Katy’s fragrances and this one is definitely one of my favourites, definitely the best recent scent she’s released since Meow (2011).

    The bottle:
It’s a cute bottle! Captures the look and theme of the smell. Love the marble look on the cap.
    Inside the bottle:
Sweet, Girly, Summer, Light, Lovely is how I would describe this perfume. When sprayed you get the strawberries, coconut and sorbet. When dried the strawberry becomes light and is taken over by the coconut and sorbet scent that makes the perfume creamy and with an undertone of musk as well. Longevity is okay you will most likely spray a couple times a day.
    Overall:
This perfume is great for someone who enjoy’s sweet, fruity, gourmand and who is a coconut lovers. Great for beginners or someone who is sensitive it’s still light enough to not be overwhelming.

A creamy, sorbet coconut with strawberry! It smells like a summer treat. Really impressed!

Yummy! Smells like strawberries and cream! The dry down is a light powdery scent. Very pleasant. My Boyfriend loves it also.

Okay I’m actually surprised by how much I like this one. The bottle is cuter in person, I thought the pictures looked kind of cheesy but I actually really love the “love potion” type bottle. I find this very inoffensive. On me it’s faint more of an “on the skin” scent but after smelling some really aggressive perfumes the last couple of days, I kind of appreciate this one’s quietness. Kind of enticing like “I smell good but you won’t know unless you’re really close to me”. I definitely smell the strawberry and coconut most of all but don’t find either of the smells too aggressive or synthetic. I’d rate this an 8/10.

Call me basic, this fragrance is rather fun!
I’ve been itching for a fun fruity fragrance for summer – I bought Skulls & Roses, Dazzle, and Mad Love. Mad Love happens to be my favorite of the 3!
Mad Love opens with a “body mist” strawberry note. The body mist strawberry note is assisted by a gentle citrus accord. The coconut is far behind, but still very detectable. Thankfully, the coconut does not dominate Mad Love as coconut is such an aggressive note.
The coconut is actually the first to tap out, and Mad Love ends on a very nice note of strawberry and citrus.
I wish this came in a deodorant spray! I love it!

When I wear this perfume, I’ve received a lot of compliments, people don’t need to be next to me for noticing my fragrance which means have a great silage and I believe impregnates the room.
Lasts all-day, the scent stays on my clothes…
But I’ve notice ( correct if I’m wrong) some people here don’t have the same experience I have when I wear this fragrance.
At least not here on this page.

I’m currently looking for a new “signature scent” because they don’t manufacture my current anymore (boo!). I bought this online based on notes, reading reviews, price and let’s admit it – its name and I wasn’t exactly disappointed of the scent, though it didn’t feel my own – at least not right away. It’s a very nice scent and I’d definitely like to wear it every now and then… BUT (and that’s big but as you can see) this scent wears off almost immediately. Now that’s a letdown! I can barely smell it on my clothes, let alone around myself, my hair etc. I previously had Katy’s Killer Queen Oh So Sheer which was a longer lasting scent, so I don’t know if my product came from a bad batch or if this is weak lasting in general.

Mad Love is delightfully girly, sweet & sunny. My new summer scent for sure!!
After the rather mediocre, Mad Potion, I wasn’t sure what to think of my impulsive blind buy of this one. I couldn’t pass it up as it was an absolute steal! Darn you enticing perfume bargains 😀
Mad Love is seriously lovely. Sweet strawberry, creamy coconut, crisp apple sorbet and soft wood & florals in the dry down. I usually find coconut scents sickening or just outright boring, but the strawberry & sorbet add another dimension to good ‘ol coconut.
It has a similar vibe to Meow however it has quite significant differences imo. I have Meow in my collection and I don’t feel like they are just a copy of each other.
It lasts quite well on my skin, around 4-5 hours and has moderate sillage. Compared to Mad Potion which lasted all of 10 minutes.
I have moved this to my ‘Love’ list, definitely a re-purchase for me!
My grandmother always taught me, ”if you’ve nothing nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.”
So, I’ll not mention the bottle lol

I thought I would try this fragrance even though I am an older woman (ahem.. over 40! :o)) I believe that it’s marketed for a younger woman.
I love strawberries and Jasmine which is one of the reasons why I initially liked it! It is quite sweet at first but just right for daytime wear. The first spray is gorgeous, but there is no longevity whatsoever! I’ve only been wearing it for half an hour and I can’t smell it anymore, which disappointed me but I guess I shouldn’t have expected much from a perfume that is this low in price.
If it was longer lasting it would be perfect!

Ok, so this is one of them times when im going to have to eat my words lol.
I haven’t stopped thinking about this since i tried it a few months back in priceline, it was on a paper strip; which i believe never really lets the scent open up properly. So today in Chemist warehouse i saw it is now only 17.00 for 100ml, so I gave her another chance.
I got the girl to spray it on my wrist this time and, well, I actually really liked it. I do still believe it bares strong similarities to wild glow, but with an intense dose of coconut; which is what i loved the most. Coconut is one of my favorite fragrance notes so as soon as i smelled that creamy tropical goodness i was sold.
I dont know if ide liken it to strawberry ice cream like most have previously; more like that chewy strawberry flavored
    coconut ice.
Its a burst of coconut and pineapple pina colada ( i know pineapple isnt listed)
then its a strong fruity strawberry smell, all the while with that potent coconut lingering on.
It dries down to a nice sweet creamy, still coconutty berry sweetness, with the woods and musk adding some warmth and depth to it, its what keeps it from going sugar overload.
Interestingly enough, i went in with the intention of trying and getting Marc Jacobs daisy dream, as all the notes listed for that sound lovely, but it was a huge fail, boring and bland and fell flat with zero coconut in sight. So I came out with this instead lol.
I know that we live in a consumers world, and perfumes just aint made the way they used to be, a lot of them are made fast, cheaply and watered down just enough to keep us going through bottle after bottle.
But I also believe that regardless of whos name is on that bottle, we as wearers like what we like. I have high end perfumes that costed me $150+ sitting right next to my $15 celeb scents.
If something smells good, then go ahead and wear it dammnit, i couldnt care less that its Katy perry and the bottle looks ridiculously juvenile lol. This one is a win and im glad i went back and gave it another chance

Not even close to the pretty Meow at all, and I don’t get this bottle design. Meow has creamy, beautiful, fresh and sweet vanilla + pear scents while Mad Love has strong “synthetic” coconut scent from start to finish (just like the “stale”/”chemical” coconut or monoi oil smell in Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Now 2016 EDP, AND Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Now Wild Palm EDP. BOTH of them were disasters on my skin).
Unfortunately the coconut here is NOT fresh, and it just killed it for me, even though other nice and sweet notes did come thru later.

    I got this for christmas
And to me it smells like a sweet strawberry
    Love this one so much
The lasting power is 12 hours
    The silage is amazing

I am so pleasantly surprised by this little gem! I spritzed a little on my wrists last night and can still smell it this morning.. not bad longevity for a Katy Perry perfume! I love Meow and Killer Queen but they only last an hour or so.
Besides that, this is surprisingly unlike anything else in my wardrobe. I have lots of sugary sweet celeb gourmands but this is the only one that reminds me of strawberry ice cream. The coconut isn’t strong to my nose, it mainly just adds a creamy note overall.
This isn’t sophisticated or mature, this is very much a youthful sugar bomb but that’s a favorite category of mine so I’m happy. I love this fragrance, solid blind buy!

  18. :

This to me is simply, Wild glow by jlo, with coconut added. Fruity, light and simple. Here in Oz its about 30 dollars a bottle so im glad i tried it before soending that kind of money. Im more interested in investing in a bottle of royal revolution , at least that one has some personality.
This would be a nice fragrance if A) i didn’t already own wild glow and B) it was a bit cheaper

  19. :

I feel like this perfume could have been created during her “One of the boys” era : strawberry, sorbet and other fruits…It lasts all day long on my skin and is not expensive at all. I found it in my grocery shop 🙂
I smell coconut wood and strawberry. I was sure there was coconut wood (but in fact it’s coconut+wood).

I rarely do this, when a SA sprays the much awaited perfume and you say ‘that’s awful’. This is what mad love was for me. I thought I’d love it after reading the reviews. I instantly needed to scrub it off. A note in this made me feel so annoyed…like I had polluted my skin with something that would stick to me for the rest of the day, to the extent that I was feeling so annoyed and irritable! It must be that beachy tropical coconut scent that is off putting to me. So glad I didn’t blind buy this!

  21. :

    4 out of 5

I don’t smell the coconut, just the sweetness of fruit, especially the strawberry. It’s a bit childish (and I don’t usually agree with others when they label some perfumes as childish and too youthful), and it doesn’t even come close to Meow. Meow is one of my favourites and I think it has a much better scent that is sweet without feeling cheap or generic. This one does feel kinda cheap and there’s a big quality difference between the two.

  22. :

This is such a yummy perfume! It’s very sweet but not too sweet. What i smell most is strawberry, sorbet, and coconut. It smells beachy, definently one you would wear in the summer. This made it onto my favorites list!

  23. :

    3 out of 5

This is a fun perfume, and a cute bottle. Yes, it might seem “young” to some, but for me, sometimes I want/need a break from my “grown up” scents, and sometimes I want something FUN and not serious, and this is a good one for that! Yes, very coconutty/strawberry smelling. Smells a little like a cross between a suntan lotion and a shampoo. At times the strawberry note smells like those Strawberry Shortcake dolls from ages ago…so yeah, this can smell “juvenile,” I suppose. Not as sweet as I expected, not cloying, anyway, to me. But you know what..? I kind of like this. Not quite enough to click the “like” button..but almost!! Maybe it is just the fun, cute bottle. 😉
I do not see the comparison to JLust, and it’s been ages since I’ve smelled Meow, but from memory, I did not like Meow (too cloying to my nose), and I kind of like this. Different noses, different skin chemistry, different tastes…*shrug* But from memory, this does not remind me of either of those fragrances. But again, different noses, etc.

This is very sweet and projects very well, but it is really immature. First time i tested it,on the tet strip, i thought it smelled like cheap bubble gum. Today i tested on skin and i was a bit more pleased, but it is way too “pink” for me.
My husband liked it though and if he bought it for me i would wear it without problem, but this is not something i would buy.
I understand the comparison with Meow, but meow is much better.
Even though this is a very sweet perfume, i think one could wear it year round, specially in spring, because of the strawberry.
What more can i say? not the best from Katy and in my opinion, in the lower end of the celebrity perfume market.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

This is a strawberry and coconut dream! If you like meow then you will love this fragrance. I think meow is a slightly fruitier version of this. I love them both but I think I prefer this one.
I always find myself spraying this on before bed too as it is so warm and comforting. My boyfriend always compliments me when I wear this fragrance.
This was a blind buy for me (I have actually blind bought all of Katy’s fragrances)
I am a huge fan of Katy’s fragrances and if you are too then this is a must have for your collection. I bought the 100ml bottle online from all beauty for £11.95. You can’t go wrong.

  26. :

Strawberry coconut ice cream and shampoo. Creamy sweet and tropical strawberry.. has some notes in common with Ariana Grande’s Sweet Like Candy because of the creamy yet tart berry note.
Because I own both, I did a side by side comparison and Mad Love is sweeter and more buttery due to the coconut. Sweet Like Candy is darker, less sweet and more musky. It’s more like a blackberry fro yo, than a strawberry coconut ice cream like Mad Love. If you own one, you don’t really need the other, but they aren’t dupes like I originally thought they were before my side by side comparison.
Also wanted to add that this will not be mistaken for something of higher quality. It smells cheap, like the corner store junk food of gourmands. I don’t dislike that about it though, just mentioning so you won’t be disappointed.

  27. :

    5 out of 5

This scent is really fun, and for some reason it reminds me of sunblock at the beach in the best way possible. The coconut gives it a touch of tropical flair, but mostly it’s sweet; I’d recommend that you bring this one to the beach! It definitely has more sillage than Mad Potion, so be careful when you spray it! Honestly, the vibe that I get from this one is that it’s a love potion that was concocted by an adorable lil’ mad scientist cherub; it’s cute, but it’s a little bit quirky. To recap: it smells delicious, it’s very sweet, very girly, very fun, but don’t wear it in winter, and confidence is key.
EDIT 12/26: After wearing this around in warmer weather today, I can confirm for certain that this fragrance shines more in places where it’s warm.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

Every time I wear this I have people saying I smell delicious. To me it’s like a sweet strawberry thick shake 🙂
Edit: how are people comparing this to fantasy? Because they’re both sugary sweet? That may be so but they smell nothing alike.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

I really love this scent. Think all the notes of meow with a healthy dose of coconut. Another soft inoffensive fragrance.Yes, it’s similar to Britney Spears Fantasy but much softer and there is no chemical smell and it doesn’t induce headaches.
Only complaint is just like mad potion, mad love clings to the skin and has poor longevity. Also a very plain bottle in comparison to the predecessors of Katy’s perfume line.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

COCONUT was easily the first note I smelled when I sprayed it for the first time. this it settles and the strawberry and sorbet comes to light. fresh and tropical, summerly creamy YUMMINESS!
much like ellenastokman said, this scent is reminiscent of pina colada, but more like the less known but equally as yummy strawberry pina colada, not pineapple.
    SWEET, GOURMAND, FRUITY, FUN
sillage is average, longevity also average, not high or low performing – in relation to price it’s pretty good, cheaper but well made.
I think in general Katy Perry is seen as a young women brand but I really think this one is suitable for people of ALL ages.
this is something i’ll be wearing a lot of as Australia goes through spring and leading into summer over Christmas.
when accounting for price, longevity, sillage, quality, style, etc I give this scent an 8/10 for the strawberry pina colada gourmand.

  31. :

    5 out of 5

Definitely getting strong coconut and creany strawberry..necause of the sourness from strawberry and apple..at one point it smells like pina volada to me although the perfume doesnt have pineapple in it.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

Picked this up in a half price gift set leftover from Christmas at Kmart. I wasn’t going to try it because I thought it was too similar to Meow. It is similar at first spray but then it becomes much sweeter and more tropical fruity. I find it a bit sickening. It doesn’t last more than a few hours. Meow is definitely a better scent and has a cuter bottle.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

A mixture between some strawberry and a coconut. I’d say it’s more like a strawberry ice cream or bubble gum. Totally teenage EDP, playful and a little childish. It lasts just the same as Meow, and they’re similar for their sweetness, but I don’t think we can call them twins.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

A simple summery aroma consisting of mostly a classic sorbet, followed by strawberry and coconut. The simplicity of it reminds me of a bath and body works body spray and so does the performance. I still like it because it’s very summery, but I have to layer it with the lotion and seriously overspray it to get any kinda of projectivity.
It reminds me of summer evenings when we make a special trip to go out to get ice cream or FroYo.

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Strawberry and coconut ice cream. That is the impression I got from this fragrance. I surprised is not classified as a gourmand ( as for me this is totally a gourmand).
    Edit:
Oh!! I am crazy or they changed the classification of this fragrance for a gourmand one? I think I remembered that was not classified as gourmand before. Never mind. Lol hahaha

  36. :

    3 out of 5

This smells just strawberry ice cream and apple pie! The apple and strawberry are the ones that I get the very most, but the florals come in later to give it a softness, that sorbet note is present throughout. This is definitely a summer days fragrance, I can see myself wearing this on the beach!

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Ahh, so juicy and sweet with soft base, like a lovely symphony in my nose! Youthful, summery and somehow romantic fragrance, which is pretty easy to use because it is not offensive.
Strawberry and coconut are the strongest notes for me. And I also find some note which is like a cherry blossom or something similar to that.
Definitely goes to my “wish list”! <3

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Sweet juice it is and I absolutey adore this sweet potion as I get many compliments wearing it. Was very happy that this one didn’t have much in common with her previous fragrance Mad Potion. Longevity is not the best but I don’t mind reapplying it. Great sweet candy scent for gourmand lovers.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

A suprisingly stunning fragrance. It smells like coconut and tart. Very good longevity. Probably the best Katy Perry perfume because of that “tart” smell. The tart gives it a very unique smel. And this is SO MUCH BETTER than Mad Potion
I consider this to be a more mature “Meow”

  40. :

    4 out of 5

This really is a good scent for it’s price point. Bottle is quite cheap and tacky, but that’s okay as the scent itself isn’t really something to take too seriously.
As for the scent itself, it’s sweet…but don’t let the above votes make you think it’s a dupe of Meow because it is not. I can see how it can “remind someone” of Meow as it is in the same “vein” but it is not the same smell.
Meow is more gourmand…along the lines of Britney Spears Fantasy.
This one is less gourmand. It is very sweet indeed…but more of a fruity, juicy kind of sweet…not dessert-like such as Fantasy Or Jessica Simpson Fancy. The coconut is there, but only as a contributing factor…it isn’t a pure coconut scent like a lot of the Victoria Secret scents, or Bath and Body Works scents. It’s basically a strawberry-coconut-sorbet type of smell with a bed of musk and a slight floral tinge to it as well that makes it actually slightly original. It’s not a groundbreaking fragrance but I can deff see this being versatile and a good addition to most people’s collection. And after Mad Potion…I can EASILY say this is a huge step in the right direction for Katy’s fragrance line.
This isn’t a love for me, but it is a strong like. Matter of fact, when I opened it up out of the package after I got it from the mail on my lunch break, my female co worker immediately said, “Did you just spray something because it smells REALLY good.”
I then told her it was a Katy Perry perfume and she was slightly surprised, in an impressed way.
For price…performance most certainly isn’t something to complain about either.
Longevity – It lasts on moisturized skin for a good 6 hours, with about 3 of those hours giving decent projection and the other 3 it is basically a skin scent. (One re-application around lunch time though, and it will deff get you through an entire day.)
Projection – Described above. About 3-4 feet for the first 3 hours and then dims down to a skin scent for another 3 hours.
Overall I’ll give this one either a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. Thumbs up Katy! Only thing I must say is that I hope her next fragrance has a better, more display-appropriate bottle as this bottle I kind of want to hide lol.

  41. :

Well.. I tested this fragrance before I bought it. And as I said here before, I love it so much that I bought 3 bottles of it. Sometimes is good to give a second chance as I’ve learned that is good soon after you bought a perfume to wait a few days for the scent to settle. I always give a second or even a third chance to a new fragrance that I bought . Works most of the times as when I do, the scent does change for better! This one ( Mad Love) worked soon after I’ve sprayed for the first time!
And just to remind the same thing again…this one lasts all day on me ( I even don’t need to put a moisturizer on before apply as works brilliant on my skin) and the sillage is incredible too (again, left a trail even hours after I’ve applied). One of the best celeb. Fragrances in my opinion so far ( quality is as good as midnight fantasy).
Edit: just a reminder, this is a strong fragrance, spray with moderation.

  42. :

You are probably anosmic to it,I am sorry to say. Sometimes anosmia lifts after a time and you can smell the scent, but sometimes it doesn’t.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I bought this perfume based on all the hype and reviews claiming longevity, projection and a yummy smell. I was so disappointed when I sprayed this (all over) myself and got only a faint initial whiff of fruity coconut before all scent had entirely vanished. I’m talking within seconds the scent was gone. My FCUK Friction had better lasting power than this, and I wasn’t a huge fan of that one either. So this was a big fat waste of money for me, unlike Perry’s other perfumes, this one is still a bit pricey. I don’t recommend going off reviews about this one if you plan to blind buy. I really suggest testing in a store first,

  44. :

In my opinion, this one reminds me so much Rocker Femme Fantasy ( which by the way I only bought recently) I meant…Rocker Femme is very similar to Mad Love.I can sense a creaminess coconuty in both of them actually.

  45. :

    4 out of 5

Oh my God, this is lovely. Sooooooo, so, so, so much beter than the previous Mad potion that smelled nothing after 2 minutes and was a very generic vanilla scent. I didn’t plan to buy this one, but I found it extra cheap on Internet so I purchased it along with other frags. Plus, I was deeply intrigued by the bleeding heart flower note in this scent. I think I never saw this note in a scent before. I didn’t smell bleeding heart flowers since forever, but in my memory, it is a very sexual and unique scent, and I was wondering how they could make it fit in a perfume. I hardly detect it in this fragrance, maybe a very little bit, and it definitely adds a little sensual je ne sais quoi to the concoction. Otherwise, it is a very cheerful and uplifting scent: freuity, creamy, yummy, with a little suntan lotion accord (most likely the coconut!). This is a summery fragrance with attitude, not your typical fruity punch that fades away in five seconds. This juice can be worn at night at a beach party! Good job! 🙂

I do feel a bit guilty for putting an age range in my review below as I think anyone of any age has the right to love any kind of perfume they want it’s just when I was teens or even very early 20’s I would’ve really liked this but now in my early 30’s, I can see the appeal but it no longer appeals to me at all.

Sweet, fruity sugar bomb. Reminiscent of Britney Spears Fantasy with a dash of coconut. It feels like adolescent/teens who want a bit of fun and don’t yet care for elegance or class.

Placed this side by side with JLUST. Color of the bottles are same to me as is the design in general .. square vs round. Strawberry the prominent note. There is some Sorbet and coconut in Mad Love which we find in JLOVE. Yet Mad Love and JLUST share the same vibe. Both JLO and Katy Perry from the parent of Coty. This isn’t a criticism but similar hands here is my guess. However, JLUST has as much musk as it does sweet strawberry. In Mad Potion we had musk with vanilla. Maybe that is why Mad Love doesn’t have that musk presence and is softer than JLUST. I like both but prefer JLUST because of the musk that at first didn’t care for but it’s awesome. How do I feel about Mad Love? Well, you can snatch up 1 oz. for about $15 which is great since it was released only last June. I like Katy Perry perfumes. She goes a bit extreme and I think her line has quality. I like her fragrances and am not a big fan of her music. However, this is also Coty and they know a good, bargain formula. Suggestion is not to look for this to rock your world. However, if you know what you like and this is up your alley? Quite happy with it and glad to have it. Thank goodness it’s a rare, prominent note of strawberry and not some more passion fruit.

Older women like sweets too, just because I’m older do I have to wear powdered florals and musks? Lol. This is very coconut candy and creamy on my skin. Smells to me very much like my VS Very Sexy Now in the white bottle. It’s a nice pick me up to a long day and I get about 4 hours on my skin.

I made a quick decision when buying this. I smelt it twice then purchased it, wore it on holiday last August (2016) and worn it once since. It’s very plastic smelling on me and i have no care for it anymore, unfortunately as i got it out of my 21st Birthday money.

I love this perfume. While I don’t agree that perfumes have a specific age, this one I think is something that people might call stereotypically young. It is gorgeous, juicy and sweet, but while it’s not particularly complicated, it’s not too boring. It’s a super happy scent and I love it! Was nearly put off by the comments, so I’m glad I ignored them! So many compliments on this one, especially from men.

Again.. Sorry, I did left quite a lot of reviews here but I would like to emphasise how happy I am to find this one and for that reason I bought again ( this time a box set, EDP, shower gel & body cream). I will try layer with my Choco Musk ( by Al Rehab) next time as I think would make even more Gourmand. Lol

Another flacon of mad!! By katy perry.. This is sweet and little sour perfume!! I thought mad love is more better than the mad potion.. But no! Its a fragrance for 5 years old kid.. Im little disappointed to the bottle color. Its like they put a first coating and thats it! And never put a second coating to make the color vivid and visible like what u can see in the picture or adverstisement! I like the marble cap but its not really made from the marble which i thought in the picture is a real marble. The box is more little than the mad potion. Its plan white box with a touch of marble color. And peach and an arrow design..with a heart shape. About the scent.. I like it but not loving it! Like her pther perfume like killer queen… The mad love is a light scents.. Easy to wear. The longevity n sillage is normal..not over powering. I cnsmell the sweet n sour at the first spray and the dry down is sweet..every kids will love it.. Btw synthetic scents also but in a good way..

I’m terrible! While out grocery shopping at WalMart tonight, I of course swing by the section of clearance items from Xmas. Which normally is just actual Xmas stuff, some of those nasty bubble bath body lotion sets that old lady’s loooooove to give to any young ladies in their lives..but to my surprise there was actually several perfume gift sets, this being one of them. So I got a 30mls bottle of the perfume and 75mlsbottles of each the shower gel and body lotion. Now onto my review….ive ony had it on for an hour so its not been too long and perhaps I may need to do another review after the fact but I must say I’m pleased. Her first MAD perfume I found so vanilla it made me sick. Not that vanilla is a bad
