Description

Kate Summer Time is a limited fragrance intended for summer 2009 and it is presented on the market in April 2009. The perfume is created of a fresh, floral bouquet which represents the sensual side and femininity of Kate Moss, as well as summer games and positive energy introduced by summer period.

Kate Summer Time opens with gentle, floral aromas of neroli, with luminous accords of orange, wild blackberry and galbanum. A delicate English rose bouquet rules in a heart, surrounded with peony, wisteria and bluebells, which add a special, modern scent to the fragrance. Base notes incorporate pleasant and warm aromas of mahogany, Tonka and musk.

Its flacon has the same form as the previous edition, Kate Moss-Kate, but is decorated with black and yellow flowers, with a black stopper. Black roses associate of wild, hot summer and yellow colour of sun and joy. Outer carton is also yellow and decorated with floral motives that can be seen on the flacon of the fragrance.

Perfume Kate Summer Time is available as 15, 30 and 50ml EDT, as a limited edition.

Really enjoying this scent. It does smell of summer to me a big bouquet of yellow and blue flowers very joyful. When I need cheering up I spray this on. Something old fashioned about it in a good way nostalgic perhaps. Makes me want to wear a long floaty skirt and lots of bead bracelets.

This is nice long lasting scent for me.
You do not need a lot, it lasts all day. The
mahogany wood scent is nice. I think.

Smells like an incontinent old lady has dosed herself in a powdery perfume in an attempt to cover up an ever present stench of wee. The combating scents of bitter citrus scream ammonia and the heady baby-powder florals do little to dampen it.
    Don’t do this to yourself.

Summertime is not citrus. It is yellow flowers in a bottle.
This is a wonderful, innocent, classic scent. It smells like “yellow” flowers. What attracted me to this initially was the bottle. It looks like a cute bottle of nail polish, with some pretty yellow flowers on the front. The scent matches the bottle perfectly. I saw this, and I was like,I have to get this!
This is inexpensive and long lasting. You spray it on,and it stays on.
This may not be that original, but I love it!

Top notes are strangely reminiscent of an Ivory soap bar: very sharp, clean with a hint of citrus. Then it settles, after what seems like a very long time to me, into something softer. I finally pick up the berries and a hint of rose, nothing very exciting and quite flat. The berries are strangely dry, the rose lacks depth. It never really develops into head/heart/base notes, at least not on me. I just get two very linear stages, none of which are that appealing. It’s a shame, it’s the first Kate Moss scent that I find uninteresting, as there is always something that, if not for everyone, stands out in all of her fragrances, a bit like Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler…Hers are usually criminally underrated as “celebrity scents”, and are actually very high quality, interesting fragrances at a ridiculous price. But in Summer Time’s case, I have to categorize it as a miss and a bore.

Interesting scent; at first spray, on me, it smells very citrusy and flowery, a bit musky. A very feminine and subtle scent. The dry down is lovely, a flowery musky smell; it has good staying power. Like It!!

Very excentric and original perfume. Love the mix of oranges and blackberries at the beggining, it smells a bit spicy even thought it is not. I like top notes the most. But have to say that base and middle notes are hardly noticable. I smell berries and oranges most of the time, only they are not that strong. It’s endurance is very good.

I just tried this for the first time. And I am not sure what the heck it is that I am smelling, definitely not floral, but no idea what. I am not sure about this perfume at all.

I re-smelled it today (it’s been a while and a lot of times my tastes change 🙂 ) and there seems to be some sort of unpleasant medicinal quality to this scent. It’s definitely a mess of scents. Toilet freshener. Can’t really put my finger on what’s wrong with this scent.. but something definitely is.

citrus ‘n berries for summer. fruity with hint of floral wisteria mainly. younglike summery scent when out and about promenading and/or at the beach.
musky-floral drydown, kind of heavier than first impression.
I also find that with time this perfume stinks up; reminds me of street perfume stands in europe where rip of perfumes are sold under similar names; think of popcorn stand with large clear glass containers with perfumes in it – all the different colors of pee, yuck, it literally smells like that.
In here it seems as lots of notes are mumbled jumbled and stuffed into this scent.
    lasting power…. what’s that, 2 hours utmost:/

I am not sure if I like this or not. My husband says it smells like air refreshener and it does come on quite aggressive and strong.

I liked this summer version more than the original “Kate”. It was floral fruity and had a rose note combined with some yummy and orange notes. For summer it was an easy wear. I had a 15ml bottle and didn’t buy anymore. 15ml bottles are most often enough for me when it comes to drugstore scents.

I couldn’t make out any of the scent notes in SUMMER TIME on first application; just a nameless sour, florally scent. I didn’t detect any fruit whatsoever.
The staying power is poor; an hour later I had to press my wrist to my nose to be able to smell anything. There was a slight hint of musky woods. Sort of like a men’s cologne.
SUMMER TIME didn’t give me a headache or make me sick though, so that’s an improvement on her first two releases.

I wore this perfume today after not wearing it for a while. I find at first it smells of wet dandelions but after a while it settles down and becomes a pleasant mix of floral smells.
It has good staying power and lasted a full day at work. Although nobody commented on the perfume I could tell people noticed it as I walked past (in a nice way!)
I really like it and the effect it has.

Oh my gosh…this perfume is truly horrible. (To my nose anyway). This is an overly floral mess that makes my nose sting. It smells like an air freshner out of a can. Such a shock considering how nice the original of this is. It’s very sharp and smells incredibly cheap. Sorry Kate…this one is not a winner. 🙁

Slightly bitter fruity opening.I agree with Juliette has a gun that it smells like two totally diffrent perfumes has been mixed. I don´t hate it but to me this is not summery at all. There is something in it that just don´t smell right. It smells “forced”

Quite an intersting fragrance for this sort of price. It is a floral-fruity, but seems like a floral-herbal to me, as the fruits are bitter. That bitterness reminds of Kelly Caleche. The whole composition is a little bit similar to the beautifull L’Ombre dans l’eau, but is flatter, sweeter, less watery or green. Rather for summer afternoons than for hot days.
