Erik does a pretty good job here considering that we works only with 7 notes in composition to link it with July’s month. The emphasis here is put in the link between vetiver and grapefruit, since altough grapefruit is citrus there is a kind of woody nuance on it that resembles vetiver. For me the fig and mint works as secondary notes to provide a green freshness. Very good.

I bought it blind and was disappointed. Dominant fig leaf with vetiver destroys the composition. It could have been a Carbone de Balmain but it failed.

I think it is very minimalist perfume.
The fragrance was composed from seven ingredients.
July is the seventh month of the year. Hence the name in July. That’s how I understood it.
Fresh top notes of grapefruit, the heart note is delicate, slightly floral and the base is a very elegant vetiver dream with Musk.
