Juicy Couture Oui
summer test
two sprays on inner wrist
i was comparing stronger scents but i got a good sampling of this.
NOT the same as the other Vivas, or Lalas etc.
This scent isnt what it looks like it will be, and if you smell just the nozzle it is different than what you might spray on. The colours of the bottle should be sky blue and a watery green aqua.
this is fresh. i think the accords list needs turning on its head.
ozonic, green, aquatic, fresh, white floral, fruity.
This lasted very well for a light scent – i have had many dissapointments over the years with lighter (but lovely) scents, i have had meagre lasting power from some scents by Juicy.
On me this is metallic/generic and hopeless in the beginning – a friendly store person sniffed my wrist and agreed (i didnt promt them). She was actually wearing the same scent and it smelled different on her.
Later as the day wears on it improves, and then i get a generally nice perfume in the accords in the way ive relisted them above.
so, fresh, ozonic/green but not massively so, aquatic no where near tap water/ocean specifically but a vibe, the florals and fruits are way down the list supporting. I will retest.
🙂

Can someone please School me on what a “technowood” note is? The ad copy said “techno wood base” so I’m just wondering.

From the bottle I expected another hot mess fruity cocktail. But this actually surprised me! It’s very elegant, floral and sultry. Yes there is a pear top note but it fades pretty quick and you are left with a floral, clean mature musky scent. I smell tuberose over honeysuckle. Normally Juicy Couture perfumes have a horrendously sweet honeysuckle note (like in VLJ Fleur and others). It’s super cloying and nasty. This is NOTHING like that honeysuckle. IMO it’s a very clean, fresh, light honeysuckle scent. It reminds me a little bit of Versace Bright Crystal and the Yellow Diamond version. Lightly fruity but mainly clean, woody, musky feminine floral. Of all the Juicy perfumes, this one is definitely more mature and along the lines of the original in that it’s not a super gourmand scent. I like it a lot but it’s not unique enough that I NEED it now. I’ll wait until inevitably, a big gift set of this is like $30 at TJ Maxx within a year. I hate the bottle, it’s super tacky. Even the VLJ bottles are cuter than this.

I really like this for everyday clean and fun during a spring season! It kinda has a Marc JACOBS DAISY tone to it mixed with a shower clean bubble gum fruity tone..and it does go well with my chemistry. I will def grab a bottle soon!
Iteneundeptewa – :
A fruity scent. I can really sense pear and watermelon in it. There’s also some honeysuckle and tea.
It’s not the best from Juicy Couture, but is kind of okay.
It is suitable for autumn in my opinion. That part they’ve nailed.
I think it’s nice enough for an everyday autumn scent.

I tested this in Ulta, gave a good 3 sprays, and smelled just sort of aquatic yet perfumey to me..but then poofed literally on the way home….Instead of “Oui,” this should be called “Au revoir,” because it has no longevity at all, at least not on my skin. I think this is the first Juicy Couture I’ve ever tried with 0 longevity. 🙁 But what I did smell for maybe 10 minutes was a light perfumey scent, sort of aquatic, as well. I wish I had more to say about this one, but I don’t. LOL..and yes, it does kind of look like a nail polish bottle, as one reviewer mentioned. 🙂

To be straight, this is how I smell after I shower except longer. I use wild honeysuckle and whichever scent they make with a decent hit of that lovely flower. I wanted to say it smelled more like their rome honeysuckle (which I ran out of recently) but it wasn’t an option.
It lasts a long time but I wouldn’t pay that price for something I get for much cheaper to just to wash my body.

Oui kicks with a bright lemon (a special water lemon note, according to Juicy Couture). It’s very girly, playful and young. Right after, the pear appears and then the watermelon. After probably five minutes, the pear and watermelon create a sort of weird fruity combination that is paired with jasmine and a water down version of tuberose. At this point the sillage dropped quite a bit.
In my opinion (as a guy), there’s nothing wrong with Oui but at the same time nothing to go crazy.
It’s like when you go shopping and see a nice sweater, it’s cute, you get excited but then you think: Do I need it?

This one makes me so sad!! I had decided I was going to buy a new fragrance and had it down to this one and the newest Moschino(so real I believe it’s called) and I sprayed one on each arm walked around the store a while and this one sadly within a matter of maybe two minutes started to literally smell like a wet dog on me. I can’t understand why it would turn into something like that when it started so beautiful 🙁 when I had sprayed it on the card earlier in the week I thought that would be the one I would purchase later in the week. I’m so glad I did the arm test before I did buy it because it’s so gross! So sad

Okay Juicy couture my favorite feminine brand well .
Oui is just sexy fruity sweet fragrance ..
actually Juicy Couture can go wrong creating this type of feminime sexy scents..
if you are into sweet fragrances and you own like to 2_5 perfumes it will WOW you and it will be amazing.
However if you own over 50 perfume and you are already a collector you might feel a lake uniqueness.. it’s very nice I really like it
but it didn’t blow my mind
I wanted something spectacular as I own all the Juicy Couture fragrances I wanted something more in the unique part.
voloimir-77 – :
Juicy Couture stop making everything smell the same….like a fruit bowl with sugar sprinkled on top. Not my cup of tea. This is good for my daughter, the younger crowd. Not for a middle aged woman. There are scents that are made for usthat are sweet.
ONLY recommended for a younger crowd. I’m sure the longevity is good, they usually are.
Cagdrumma – :
WoW – what was that? -I couldn’t smell it properly because of it’s sourness – it was awfulll in a distance, but,
if you love super-super-sour winegums, than this is the right perfume for you.
LaferNeil – :
Okay, I just tried it at Ulta and…no. This is watermelon mixing with a bad breath variant of jasmine and I can’t for the life of me figure out why the heart of this fragrance is white florals when the top is a rather fun, youthful, flirty fruity-tooty thing. I mean, I’m getting this mature woman vibe clashing with the watermelon/pear top. It’s as if a teenager wearing some pear body wash and smacking on watermelon Hubba Bubba is standing next to her mom whose wearing a classic white floral perfume. Weird combo that just doesn’t work for me.
Timsan032 – :
Juicy Couture ‘Oui’ is the perfume equivalent of Valium. It’s an absolute uninteresting snooze-fest.
Generic watered-down, fruity/floral that is the outcome of mixing Couture La La,La La Malibu, Malibu ect…You get the idea lol.
So disappointed in this one. Juicy Couture’s perfume range is one of my guilty pleasures, the bottles are so extra.
Do not waste your money, there are numerous fruity/florals out there that are far superior to this and cheaper.
The bottle is hideous in person and I usually love me some tacky JC bottles. That is all.
Neistemef1976 – :
I wanted quite badly to like this, since it’s the only Juicy Couture bottle I’ve ever wanted! It looks and feels great in person, too. But the scent is a fail for me: it’s an unpleasantly sharp fruity-fruity-fruity-floral that’s all but gone in 60 minutes.
ЭдгарПо – :
Light mildly sweet fruity floral. This would be a safe gift scent for a young woman or a style-conscious teen. The watermelon note is the main attraction, with the sweet freesia.
The pear and watermelon are detectible in the opening, but vanish very quickly. That is unfortunate because the watermelon is really the only thing that makes this scent distinctive from so many others. The opening is obviously the “selling pitch” but when it’s promise disappears it is disappointment in this case. This is not to say the development is not a pleasant scent, it is, but it is not distinctive. At this point, I am finding Freesia to be a boring note. Oui is one of those fragrances that strongly references the Chanel Chance line, but much lighter.
I wore Oui in warm humid summer weather and it became the most minimal of skin scents by about the 3 hour mark, virtually undetectable. For the price, this is not good performance, but maybe in cooler weather it would be better.
zhekakr – :
I could love it if there was no watermelon 🙁 I’m very sad as I love honeysuckle, pear, tuberose, tea, jasmine, acai berry,,even it’s musk and amber.and it’s bottle but the all in all result is not f9r me as I hate ozonuc, aquatic scents

Loving this so far – have a small squirt on from sample in the store; fruity yet light. Even the sales rep said this is her favorite Juicy fragrance. Will update post as needed and if I change my mind.

The bottle is cool
a080ex – :
This has a fruity bubblegum smell that is pleasant enough for a young girl or the young at heart. It’s not serious enough for me to enjoy wearing, but I wouldn’t object to smelling it on someone else.
JensyBoy – :
First of all, the bottle is nice, with heavy glass and well made accessories. It looks exactly as seen in the stock photo. I like the juice inside actually. When I tested this one on my wrist, I also sprayed J’Adore In Joy on the other wrist. I asked my friends’s opinions about the two scents on me, without letting them know which one was which. Based on their blind sniffing, all three of them (2 girls and 1 guy) definitely picked Oui over Joy. I myself already knew that I prefer Oui scent, even though I know that it is like comparing orange and apple. But we all came to the same conclusion that Oui smells great and better on me. I love J’adore, and other flankers, just not In Joy.
Oui opened up with a blast of strong honey suckle, sharp jasmine and tea leaf. NO melon, nor tuberose whatsoever that I could detect. You have to like honey suckle in order to enjoy Oui, as it is very prominent here. The sharp “green” vibe went away in few minutes and a sweet and juicy pear with smooth woody musky base came in. This is the part that I enjoy very much. This is the kind of wood & musk combination that I could not stop sniffing my wrist. It was gentle and growing on me. In many fragrances, I don’t like a strong musk note so much, so I appreciate its softness here. To wrap it up, I consider Oui a good summer woody musky honey suckle, jasmine and pear. Those are the notes that stood out the most to my nose.
Oui is not out standing, nor anything new that I haven’t sniffed. The scent definitely has been done before. But it is still a pleasant summer fragrance, not boring, very wearable during hot months for being a woody musky one. It reminds me a little bit of Viva La Juicy La Fleur actually, but this one is less sweet and more woody musky. Sillage is between soft and moderate. Longevity is over 5 hours on my wrist. And I don’t think it smells like Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia.
Oui is available for testing at Macy’s stores now. Even it is nice, and I like it a lot, I don’t think it is worth paying over a hundred bucks for it. I recently scored a tester bottle online for much much less, so at that price, it is definitely a keep.
prikoly – :
Can’t believe that I wasted $100+ on this one. The scent is very generic and linear, with a hint of floral watermelon (unfortunately not a delicious way). Suitable for summer day. It lasts pretty long, though.
The cap is very loose. Imagine that in order to put it back to the box, I need to put the bottle (without the cap) first and then the cap separately. It’s quite annoying at that price.
miskammax007 – :
Worried about the woody notes and the jasmine, but do want to try it out.
UPDATE: I smelled the scent strip sample in the latest Ulta catalog and there’s an undercurrent to this I don’t like. It smells like a fruity/floral deodorant mixing with a musty armpit and I’m pretty sure it’s the way my nose is reading the jasmine and musk mixing with the watermelon and honeysuckle. I can smell the sweetness, but that musty body odor thing… I need to get my nose on this in actual spray form to make a final judgment.
