Even if this was a dollar it’s a waste of your money. It smells like the very end of a nice woodsy scent, but that’s all it is the whole time. A safe one for a gift; but no one will actually like it.

Sometimes the simpler is just more beautiful. This scent is honest and to the point. No complications, soft and sweet as it promises. No fancy changings throughout the time you’re wearing it. She would sit with you for quite a long time and whisper her sweet and soft song to your ear. Definitley worth spending time with. Fills you up with optimism and positive energy. Love <3.

A good everyday fragrance. Starts off citrusy and calms down into warm spicy scent. I must admit it is a little ordinary smelling in my opinion too, but it’s quite good anyway and suitable for casual wearing.
I sense patchouli, amber, sandalwood and citrus notes the most. There’s also some sweetness, that probably comes from the berries.
A nice perfume and not very expensive too.

After reading so many exciting reviews about this one i finally got a chance to sniff it… and it’s a dissappointment! Come on guys?? What is so special about this one? To me it’s just another nice but boring experience.. can’t find anything interesting to say about this perfume really… very very safe… not unique.. not my cup of tea, though it’s very cheap, i rather save the money for something more exciting!!

Thank goodness this was cheap or I would have felt bad, really nothing special here, a bit citrusy, a bit woodsy
not attractive to my nose, could easily be unisex also..a bit like Vanitas although Vanitas is overall nicer..I cant say really anything good about it, pretty light and boring scent.

the first notes are just ok,but after 10 minutes it turns to something really annoying to my nose.as a fruity perfume lover,I can say it’s not well balanced.it’s strange, because the notes seem to be lovely, but the final result is harsh.I guess some sweet notes to balance the fruity, citrus smelling is lacking here.there isn’t anything sugary here at all.it reminds me of so many other perfumes that I can’t remember well, but the one I can name is “in the mood for love pure” and I wasn’t a fan of that fragrance either.

Interesting notes, but the smell is not special as I thought…

Very likable scent, but it smells really familiar in a way that it makes me think this smells exactly like many other fragrances, even though I cannot instantly name any. On my skin this isn’t crisp at all – grapefruit is very soft and gives the scent a fresh and light impression with pear. I also smell some flowers but cannot detect any particular notes (but my skin has a tendency to “tune down” florals..). It does have a very noticable flowery feeling in it though. Quite sweet drydown, which actually reminds me of Paco Rabanne’s Lady Million, but in JR’s Eau de Parfum it’s much less aggressive. Sillage is quite soft on me and lasting ok, but not great.
But because it’s so easy to like and safe I’d like to purchase it for everyday scent – it seems to be very good for office work etc.

John Richmond EDP does actually remind me of Chanel’s Chance EDP. They both have similar scent pyramids; a mixture of citrus, fruits and patchouli.
I’m not overly impressed with this fragrance as it’s not what I usually go for. The only time I tend to enjoy it is during Spring, which is when the grapefruit accord is less acidic on my skin.
I almost blind bought this fragrance a few weeks ago, but now I’m kind of glad that I didn’t. I would have had to re-sell it. It’s an odd mish-mash of tart fruits and soapy lily on my skin, which can become nauseating over time.
Both the top notes and heart are rather strong in regards to sillage. It’s quite a shock to my nose whenever I inhale. I had to fight the urge to wash this fragrance off in order to experience the drydown.
The somewhat obtrusive grapefruit and blackberry blend never seems to diminish on my skin, and seems stronger than ever in the drydown. The earthy patchouli and dusty sandalwood notes in the base offer some relief, but unfortunately they weren’t enough to sway my distaste for John Richmond EDP.
I’m a little disappointed that this fragrance didn’t work for me. I actually don’t know why I expected so much from John Richmond EDP seeming that whenever grapefruit appears in a fragrance it usually spells disaster on my skin. I guess I’ve learnt my lesson.
On a more positive note, the longevity and sillage are excellent.

this perfume is not a love at first sight
the first note does not intrigue me
    it smell ordinary
but it turn out to be classy after a few hours
the berry smell heaven not in a way of gourmand
lily & magnolia mix so well
the dry down part is the best
this is classy, elegant, smell expensive too
suitable to wear at any function or office
love it after the end of the day
    i have to buy thiss!!

I got a bottle of John Richmond in a swap from here and at first I wasn’t overly impressed with it – to the point that I put it up for re-swapping!! I thought it was kind of OK, definitely not offensive, but there was something about it I just wasn’t keen on.
However, I gave it another try the other day and although I still wasn’t particularly liking it for the first hour or so, the longer I wore it the better it started to smell. By the end of the day I kept getting little whiffs of it and wondering where the nice smell was coming from!
At first I seem to smell violets in it, which aren’t listed in the notes on here, and I’m not crazy about violets in perfume. That dies off after awhile though and then it becomes a bit more powdery / slightly fruity smelling and I start to smell the pear and magnolia in particular, together with the warmth and depth of the amber, and that’s how it stays on me the rest of the time, which is very nice. It’s the kind of perfume I’d have to be in the mood for though and it’s not one that I would use as a “go to” fragrance. Still, it’s a very wearable, anytime anywhere fragrance and is soft, feminine and long lasting so if you’re looking for a nice, inoffensive perfume that’s not hugely unique then this could be the one for you!

I tested it 3 times before commenting, I think it´s a pretty common floral, cute bottle though.

Ok…um, not much to say here…
    Grapefruit. Yep, grapefruit.
Then? Nothing. It disappears in a blink.
I do live in a dry climate so I think this one just evaporates before it can go anywhere.
    Pass.
Update: LACKLUSTER!! That’s the word I was looking for…Ok, I’m done.

Very dissapointing fragrance – bought after reading reviews here. Its wishy washy not at all distincitve and no staying power. All in all well overpriced and hugely dissapointing.

ohh got this today with blind purchase due the nice reviews here, and i m happy with it at first sight. first of all, beautiful bottle, packiging as well, a very cute and luxury gem for the vanity table.
now the juice is also very nice. i don t think this is a berryish scent at all, it has berries in the top, but they fade quickly. neither i would call this gourmand as mentioned in previous reviews, because it’s more juicy-sour and powdery to me than sweet and foody.
first i got a burst of fresh cutted grapefruit, sweet-sour berries and juicy pear. a very refreshing and loveable opening for a perfume. then it gets more flowery with narcissus, lily and magnolia, powdery and intense full blooming happy summer flowers. the drydown warmth up by a creamy sandelwood and earthy patchouli, soft and tempting, while the fruity-flowery accords are floating inbetween. i think it smells indeed a bit like sweet-sour orange jelly bonbons, but not overbaring sweet, it reminds me of Boss Orange perfume at this point, but this one gets creamy-powdery in the drydown while Boss orange gets creamy-vanillic at the base.
the fragrance lasts long and the sillage is average.
a very nice perfume, well, maybe a little bit to sour-juicy and fruity for my taste – i m more in floral-orientals or gourmands, but still very wearable for me when i m in the actual mood for a fruity perfume.

luxurious, long lasting and full of berries:D
    i loved the gift inside:D

To my nose, this is pure cavity-inducing gourmand. It smells exactly like those orange jelly lollies/candies, the soft kind that are rolled in sugar. It continues to smell this way until it sort of morphs into raspberry jelly lollies/candies, the soft kind that are rolled in sugar.
It smells like kin to Gucci Flora EDT but instead of Flora’s sparkle, it is glazed in sugar, sugar, sugar.
Having said that, I can actually see some merit in smelling like sugar-coated jellies. Not for me personally, but this is an attractive & long-lasting fragrance for ladies who revel in sweet perfumes. It would be gorgeous on teenagers, it is youthful & exuberant like they are.

A female, seductive and energizing perfume
that fascinates the senses just like rock’n roll. An
intense, floral fruity fragrance, accompanied by
a silver plated bracelet and a lock to be hanged
    to it as a pendant.

I picked this one just because I saw John Richmond ad in Vogue magazine and it was very distinctive – rock chic clothes and accessory both black and white. Perfume itself represents rather universality.
Opening smelled like washed clothes and subtly floral-fruity mix which is very intriguing and I secretly wanted to have something like this- you know, when you don’t know what to pick today and there it is- casual everyday scent with developing character.
So- opening was quite interesting- clean and attention drawing.
I thought it’ll be like that for the rest of time, but nah… It loses it’s detergent-like qualities and becomes fruitier. I can smell pear, berries and flowers. About lily here, it’s like undertone. Middle noted are quite sour fruity, but it has sillage and lasts.
I recommend this fragrance, if you need something casual, but ‘in style’.
