Description

Jennifer Lopez will launch her new fragrance called JLust in the spring of 2016. The fragrance belongs to the collection that was founded by the JLove edition in 2013. In addition to the original, the collection also includes JLuxe from 2015.

The sexy, sweet and oriental floral – fruity composition of JLust perfume begins with juicy mandarin, apple blossom and “mara des bois” strawberry. The heart consists of opulent Sambac jasmine, white peach and vanilla orchid. The base ends with a cloud of feather musk, tolu balsam and tonka bean.

The square glass bottle of the original shape is colored in soft pink and adorned with the transparent cap with a snakeskin print, which is repeated on the box of the perfume. The fragrance is available as a 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

This is pretty and inoffensive, but nothing groundbreaking or exciting. I have to agree with most other reviewers, it does smell a lot like a VS body spray–with just a bit more longevity. This is pleasant enough to still keep in my collection, even if it’s just for those days I need something easy and pretty with no real personality. Gah that sounds awful, but there you have it. The bottle is pretty and pink, not garish. The notes that are present to my nose: peach, musk (a lot of sweet musk), a hint of tolu balsam (the one thing that gives this fragrance a little more life tbh) and some tonka and apple blossom. No strawberry whatsoever. If you’re looking for a strawberry frag, look elsewhere. This is not it. That balsam note is lovely though. I just with the fragrance on a whole had a bit more liveliness to it.

This gets its lust from that musk.
Here Jennifer Lopez makes that musk a little bit deeper.
It mixes in with the strawberry and peach much like you might imagine someone hot heating up as they become aroused. Yet it is a close body scent and just has a presence rather than coming at you.
This could be a nice evening fragrance b/c there is a sweet warmth here .. something to get closer to .. even as it is perfect for day wear.
Forgive me J.LO b/c your brand of fragrance is among the best and sometimes I’ve been a bit stingy with your praises.
I just read under recent Glow review 2 new fragrances coming from the new parent co. of Designer Parfums?
Amazing. This JLust could be found on ebay for $14 just two years ago. I know that is why I got two bottles. Now it fetches $50+. I couldn’t find JLuxe anywhere and now Kohl’s has it again.
Get the bottles you love now b/c who knows? May be last chance on 75% of her Coty days.
This little JLust looks like it is part of the new partnership as it appears on the website. However, not at Kohl’s. So, was it/is it a line keeper? Who knows. I’m just real glad I got 2 bottles of this and JLove when everyone thought .. oh. no. another jlo perfume.

Thank goodness I am not the only one.. this smells a LOT like Mad Love the peachy colored Katy Perry perfume, not the purple one. I don’t find that the notes smell like the perfume really when it comes together, its more a whole then the sum of its parts. I honestly smell a lot of coconut from this so I am not sure why it’s not listed or if I am wrong but that’s what I get – a coconutty peach fruity cocktail. I don’t smell any strawberry at all. This is an important distinction to my nose as I am reading comparisons to SJP NYC and they are nothing alike at all. But reading the notes alone I get that they appear similar but this in reality is not the case. That being said I like this perfume and I don’t normally like coconutty scents at all so it’s done well.

When i first sprayed and smelled this, I said “Hm.. what type of alcohol note is in this?” I looked on fragrantica and to my surprise, no wine, no champagne, no spirit of any kind. When you spray it, you get a fermented fruit smell immediately.. almost like opening a fresh bottle of wine. If you’re looking for a sweet perfume, look elsewhere because all you’re getting from this is strong, bitter fermented fruits. It’s as if they were specifically trying to replicate the smell of wine. No sweetness. I purchased this for $10 bucks at Ross back in February, and it has since became a bit of a rarity.. so I’m gonna hang on to my bottle just for collective purposes, but won’t be picking up this bottle anytime soon to wear.

Well, as many others have noted, there is nothing special about this. It is inoffensive and pretty safe. On me, it smells mainly fruity with a wee tiny bit if musk at random intervals wafting through. Everything about this is as if JLo played it safe with this. It is just a basic feminine, not a little girl, yet not really a woman, scent.
Having said all of that, I do like this. It is great for those days you do not want to think about what fragrance to wear, you just want to throw something on and smell decent. The bottle is not overly designed, but is, as the fragrance itself, it’s completely average. I am in my mid 40’s, so I am probably not really the target audience for this, but I still enjoy wearing this now and then. Feminine, very fruity, with a hint of musk now and then. And as others have noted, lasting time is not great with this. I get maybe 4 hours. But that might be due to me getting an old bottle. Perhaps it has weakened over time. Not overly strong, but even so, 2 or 3 spritzes is plenty. I would not repurchase, but I do not dislike this. Just a safe all-around average fragrance.

Im reading through the reviews and find many to be,extraordinarily favorable, with many comparing this to SJP NYC. UMMM…NO. Nice try JLO,but you missed it by that much.Maybe it does on others, but on me,and my 13 yr old,who also wears and loves the SJP,nope, not even close.
What it does smell like is a lightly fruity, musky Victoria’s Secret body spray, with the sillage and longevity to match.I know there are JLo devotees, and I do own quite a few of her fragrances,I find many of them to be boring, generic fruity florals, with her signature soapy musk thrown in. While not one has been offensive or overpowering,I must say that only the original Glow is distinctive.
Upon initial spray,I get a fruity blast of sweet peach and what is listed as strawberries.I get the musk straight after, with the berry smell lingering. It stays sweet, and I’ll be honest,I literally just sprayed this maybe 15 minutes ago and it’s already a skin scent.I have to put nose to wrist to smell anything.
Final verdict, sweet, innoffensive fruity body spray.I paid I think $15 for this at Marshall’s,and sadly,it’s straight to the Project bin.I tried to give it to my 13 yr old,but even she doesn’t want it cuz it smells, and I quote “boring”
Yeah,it’s a generic fruity floral with no sillage or longevity.Don’t hate it but nothing remarkable about it.Even the bottle is a snoozefest.

Bright & fruity burst at initial application. Drydown is a nice strawberry scent that is more musky. A new favorite. The strawberry is similar to SJP NYC, but better! A great blind buy for me.

JLust is sweet, soft, powdery and musky. Very nice everyday scent. I can really smell the strawberry and peach from the above notes but this time on a soft powdery musk base instead of a clean musk one. Quite different from a lot of JLo’s other fragrances, the only connection I can get is that musky undertone.
You could wear this anywhere for all occasions, particularly good for the office I would say as it is soft and completely inoffensive. It sweetens a little as it wears and the powderyness trails off leaving behind a sweet musk. It is very feminine and is the complete opposite of some of the slap you in the face sweet female perfumes that are so popular, La vie est belle for example (which I love btw it is just very strong!)
I really like this one and I hadn’t held out much hope for it as I really did not like JLove. This one has me pleasantly surprised. The only down side is the the longevity and projection. This is a very soft fragrance and the lasting power reflects that on my skin. All in all though I’m very happy with my purchase.

I recieved this as a gift from my mother for my birthday last year, and was a little let down at how “generic” I thought it was. I wore it for a few weeks on and off, and finally grew to like it a lot! It sort of reminds me of a Strawberry Shortcake doll with strawberry scented hair that I owned when I was very young.
This perfume manages to make strawberry smell feminine and sophisticated, without smelling too “uptight” or girly.
Perfect for a casual day out.

Of all of the celebrity fragrance empires, Jennifer Lopez’s is my favorite because I find it more refined and sophisticated than those of her contemporaries. While JLust doesn’t completely blow me away, there’s something really intoxicating and memorable about it. I think Jennifer and the perfumers who compose her fragrances have a great nose for making fruity perfumes elegant and youthful without smelling cheap or like many run-of-the-mill celebrity fruity-florals. This one is a really pretty blend of strawberry, musk, and soft balmy notes. It’s too bad it lacks longevity and sillage, but it’s really beautiful when it’s there.

Sniffs of the sprayer didn’t impress which goes to show sometimes you can’t tell until you wear a fragrance if you like it. I like JLust. To me, JLove is more fruity sweet. Here is more musk sweet. The strawberry works well with the musk and maybe that is due to peach but the peach to me softens the musk and allows the strawberry to ride a bit higher. Neither this or JLove is much like JLuxe which is amber cream. Trademark JLO here. I actually do smell it after a while but never think of her perfumes as sillage monsters. That said, they do need a refresh. I thought her line might be getting lackluster but two of her latest three are real favorites. That said, if she does another hoping to get away from floral fruity. May have explored that in full by now. Fruity and sweet but make no mistake it’s got that dirty clean, too. Not a classic but a very nice scent. The bottles are attractive and like the caps but the caps are a bit difficult to pop open. I suggest this really for any woman of any age. Also for guys who don’t give a rip.

It’s definitely sweet and fruity last time i smelled it. For some it might clog up your sense of smell. It’s a little overwhelming at first then just disappears.

i loved it at first. crisp and summery, but the dry-down is disappointing

To me, this is a dead ringer for SJP NYC. That one gets rave reviews but not this one it seems. I bought it blindly for $15 at TJ Maxx and while I wont wear it regularly, I might spray it for a pick me up. It is sweet. Very sweet. Viva La Juicy sweet. Strawberries and juice. I can see this being perfect on a teenager or young 20-something girl.

At first seemed ok, but minutes later it’s this odd smell. I think the spice and fruits didn’t work well together here.
I liked JLove a LOT better

At first spray, it’s a generic musky fruity sweet scent but there’s something really foul and chemical in the dry down, I’ve never experienced this in a JLo fragrance but whatever it was I had to remove it from my wrist because of nausea. I’m disappointed in the decline in quality in her brand :/

Freshly sprayed just an hour ago, but so far I find this to be a refreshingly soft, tender come-hither type of sexy…not a screaming siren song like many “sexy” scents are. The sweetness is very grownup, another plus. There’s a gourmand warmth to the notes…I can’t separate them out, but that makes it more unique and mysterious in my estimation. There’s a slightly sharp undertone, maybe the citrus or apple tartness, but it’s well balanced by the sweeter, gentle vanilla overtones. So far so great!

Im so surprised this doesnt have more raving reviews then it does,…i LOVE this perfume! i love the strawberry…it almost smells like a sweet frozen alcoholic beverage….like a strawberry daiquiri.

Herbal-strawberry skin scent with a touch of unsweet peaches and cream. I’m glad I smell no orange. EDT strength, not EDP.

When I saw this at(Canada) Shoppers Drug Mart for $19.99 I was excited to try this as I have quite a few JLo’s and like most of them. What a letdown. So very weak at first sprays and completely gone in under ten minutes! Could not even make out one note either. Why bother making a perfume if it’s going to be so underwhelming. It went back to the store the next day. I’ll stick to JLo Live and Sunkissed Glow which have personality and that last.

Oh noooo. I was so excited to see this on the 19.99 shelf at SDM but all I get is a faint
beachy vibe to start then all I can describe is salami. It’s awful on me.
These blind buys are really not working out. Back it goes.

The bottle isn’t actually frosted on this one its more of a milky see thru pink..also i was quite surprised by this is more of a powdery white floral than fruity very spring like! Nothing like the original 2
