Description

Love2Love is a new fragrance collection coming out on Valentine’s Day, 14th February of 2014. The collection consists of four fragrances, each of which combines two dominant notes. Those fragrances are: Fresh Rose + Peach, Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa, Freesia + Violet Petals and Orange Blossom + White Musk. The collection has been announced as “a spectrum of colors that express a woman’s joy and sheer happiness”.

Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa is a scent of pure joy. Light and fresh, this fragrance represents the spirit of a carefree woman. It opens with an energetic mix of dewy peony, raspberry and sparkling mimosa. Honeysuckle, jasmine and sweet pea in the heart lead to the base of skin musk, rosewood and almond blossom.

Bottles come in the colors of lavender, orange, pink and green. The fragrances are available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette plus 240 ml Body Mist.
The nose behind this fragrance is Richard Herpin.

Soft boozey Jasmine which has grown on me. Being soft and in Eau de Toilette form, it can be used liberally without ever being too much.
I think this works well on a Summer’s day but find it especially suitable for a casual summer’s evening.

As of this week, I finally have all the fragrances in this line. They are all I’ve been wearing all week which is saying a lot.
I came across this line on the website where I buy my fragrances from, but only the Freesia and Orange Blossom were available. I bought the rest from Walmart.
Do not let the price of these fragrances or where you buy them fool you into thinking they are disappointing. Depending on your personal taste of the different notes in each, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you can, purchase them from a store that has a tester, since likes and tastes are so subjective.
I know if I had tested the Orange Blossom and Bluebell, I definitely would not have purchased the Bluebell and would only have purchased the Orange Blossom after going back to the store a few more times and trying the tester out, unless the mini was on sale.
That being said, I absolutely love the Jasmin! The notes are so well done, producing something fruity, warm, fresh, and yes– joyful, as described.
Herpin is the nose behind this scent and two other fragrances that I owned in the past, so I’m not surprised I am drawn to this.
When you first spray it, the top notes blast out, but not in a sharp, strong way as with the Bluebell. The dry down is beautiful, sits close to the skin, and is, therefore, inoffensive and appropriate for the office.
These scents do not have good longevity (not on me anyway), so reapplication is necessary. If carrying the flanker is a bit much, buy an atomizer for your bag to reapply during the day.
I would be perfectly confident about respraying these on my skin, which I never do with most of my regular fragrances, since changing chemistry during the day may lead to an unpleasant smell. I have noticed that this Jasmin and the Freesia last on my clothing.
Spray these on your skin and clothing, and layer them with something else with similar notes for even more longevity.
So far, the Freesia is my favorite, followed by the Jasmin. I would repurchase both without thinking twice.
I need to give the Rose some time to see how much I like it, but would not repurchase it, the Orange, and definitely not the Bluebell.

I kept seeing these and for the low price… Well under $10 us. I figured why not. I purchased the orange Blossom. At first spray it literally smells like an orange when you peel back the skin and get that squirt/mist. That part I liked. Made me smile. It fades almost immediately into a cheap plastic orange and strong cheap musk.I don’t care for it. But, you get what you pay for. It’s in a cute enough bottle that I leave it on the little glass enterege shelf in the powder room for my guests. I found It’s been being used more or less as an, ummm… uh-hum.,, Air Freshener. LoL. My nieghbors little girls 8 yrs & 10 yrs like spraying it on themselves. They always use the powder room just for the spritz of the Perfüme. So, that’s cute. It was worth the money. Just for that alone. But, there is an accompany scent in the music that’s reminscant of something from the seventies that I can’t quite place. Something cheap and plastic or vinyl smelling to it. I think that where some people get that “Tea” smell from. But, it smells more like orange, cellophane and tea more so than musc. I’m just not liking it. Sorry. I think the mimosa would’ve been a better choice for me. Maybe next time.

Very nice light scent, and lasts a surprisingly long time. I like it. Much better value than some “body mists” that last about 15 minutes after you apply them. This would be a good hot summer day fragrance.

I love this one. I could’ve sworn there was either a green or a white tea note in here. I’ve been wearing it for a year and a half, and I thought this *was* a tea scent!

My second try in the Love2Love series. Their Bluebell was generic and forgettable . This is only slightly better…but not much. LOTS of alcohol here upon the opening. You can almost use this as hand sanitizer. Probably going into my “frag graveyard”.

To me this starts beautifully as a fresh Yves Rocher Gardenia (in the tall bottle), then turns into B. S. Curious, unfortunately.

I was very curious about this new line and I went out and bought all 4 fragrances. It smells fresh and bright but the scent is kind of generic. It had that Clinique Happy or Tommy Girl quality which I can’t describe. My favorite of the 4 was the one I thought I would like the least,Freesia & Violet Petals.

These notes look so lovely – I have several jasmine and mimose fragrances that are a delight. Sadly, what I smelled in this fragrance was more like nondescript florals with cucumber or green melon.
No thank you….. Hopefully others will have more positive experiences?! 🙂

It took me a little bit to realize but this is a great “dupe” for Herbalife’s Heart fragrance, which I always enjoyed but wasn’t willing to spend the extra dough on 🙂
