Description

Jasmine flowers from Grasse are central theme of the house of Fragonard for 2015. By celebrating intoxicating scents of jasmine the latest fragrance JASMIN was presented, accompanied with perfumed soaps and scented candles. EDT arrives as 50ml, and is composed of luminous bergamot and orange leaves, illuminated by jasmine from Grasse blended with Egyptian jasmine and Indian jasmine. Amber in the base is in charge of warmth and softness of the composition.

According to Fragonard: “A symbol of beauty and seduction, jasmine has been associated with love from time immemorial. In Tunisia, the blossoms are plaited together and offered as a love token. In India, Kama, the god of love, tied jasmine flowers to his arrows. And legend has it that Cleopatra went to meet Mark Anthony on a ship whose sails had been coated in jasmine essence”. Besides queen rose, jasmine grandiflorum (Spanish jasmine) have been cultivated in Grasse since the 16th century and special attention and importance were paid to them. Their scent is sensual, floral and very opulent.

It was my first time and first day in Paris when I went to Fragonard boutique in Saint Germain. I asked to lady which scent is best selling, first she let me sniff all the scents, then finally she spritz belle cherie edp on the paper and told me it is the best selling scent. She was right! I loved Belle Cherie and I purchased it without a doubt. Then I wanted to add one more scent from the flower of the year collection. I tried several but only one stand out and it was the Jasmin. The lady again told me, Jasmin is also the best selling among the flower collection. And she was absolutely right! fell in love with it and it reminds me of Paris in September. I love how unique it smelled like, feminine and soft! Not overwhelming at all. A different type of Jasmin. It makes me feel beautiful and uplifts my mood instantly. Longevity is great too! moderate sillage. Cannot complain. I’d love to repurchase this beautiful juice.

This is beautiful when I’m in the mood for a perfume that isn’t to complex. At first spray it smells like a sweet Jasmine and after it settles on my skin the Bergamot comes out. Gradually the Amber becomes noticeable. It smells like lemonade on my skin. It also reminds me of something from my childhood, but I can’t put my finger on it. I think it’s lovely. It has great projection on me, reaching over an arms length for at least An hour before settling to a scented bubble around me. Longevity is about 4 hours. Sweet lemonade, Jasmine and Amber. I’m very happy to have this as part of my wardrob: )
Anamalic? Not so much. It is sweet so if you don’t like sweet florals you will probably want to avoid this. I noticed there are a lot of negative reviews for this but honestly I don’t understand why. If you like jasmine, Amber, sweet florals, don’t pass on trying it.

This is a very pretty, simple jasmine. I smelt it on a friend of my mother’s and asked what she were wearing. She told me she had bought on holiday in France and was pleasantly surprised it was a Fragonard as it smelt expensive and also that I could get hold of it easily. from Marks and Spencer – i don’t think they still sell it there now but the do have the Fragonard jasmine tea which is also gorgeous.
I wear this when I want to wear a fresh clean uncomplicated fragrance.it is great summer scent when you don’t want to overwhelm or wear anything too heavy.
I think it probably has a broad appeal – daughter, who is 21 also loves this and frequently borrows this for more formal occasions like meeting her boyfriends parents for the first time and a job interview.
Imho this is a lovely perfume that is excellent value for money.

immediate wash off, sickening jasmine. zero green, zero citrus, zero soap. straight up synthetic jasmine. i guess i just can’t handle white florals.

The most beautiful jasmine I’ve smelled so far!
It’s light but makes me feel pretty, positive and confident. Magic jasmine.

Fragonard Jasmin is quite simple in structure: a velvety, non-indolic jasmine flanked by herbal tanginess of bergamot and a slightly soapy greenness. Fresh and breezy, without being aquatic or clean in a screechy way.
The sillage is relatively soft, and the longevity is around 8 hours. Fragonard Jasmin might not be the most surprising or photorealistic interpretation of jasmine, but it’s quite natural and pleasant to wear, especially for the price. I’d definitely recommend it as an affordable option to those who’d like a natural and casual jasmine fragrance.

This jasmine is a gorgeous light fresh slightly green scent . A wonderful and refreshing scent for hot summer days. It is a clean sweet non indolic jasmine .The bergamot is a noticeably dominant and cooling note for the first 8 hours or so and then the dry down becomes warmer softer ambery. It is an uplifting fragrance made from real jasmine such a delight it is very obvious this is the genuine deal and not synthetic. It has good silage and excellent longevity .I can still smell the last lingering notes the next morning. For the price this perfume is an absolute bargain. I am truly grateful this scent made it’s way accidentally into my life.

Jasmine is one of my absolute favorite florals to wear, especially during the warm summer months. Fragonard’s interpretation is green, clean, light, and casual. Top notes of Jasmin smell of citrus and greenery followed by breezy white jasmine. The feeling is cooling and refreshing. Reminds me of the summer I spent in Nice, along the French Riviera!

Fragonard’s Jasmin opens bright and glowing, with bergamot, jasmine and a hint of green, likely from orange leaf. As it evolves, the jasmine gradually comes more into play but the hint of green continues to stay on, making this a elegant, refreshing perfume, perfect for warm days. The jasmine in this composition is not at all indolic which suits me just fine. An added bonus – the box with its yellow design, strewn with jasmine flowers on the vine and the bottle with its little white starry jasmine flowers is so pretty!
All in all, this is a nice, delicate jasmine balanced with citrusy and green accents. It is somewhat linear but that’s fine by me as well. I will likely be reaching for this one a lot this summer!
