This was a surprising fragrance. I got this sample at the same time as the new Coach Floral and tried Coach first. I was expecting a similar dominant rose in the opening, but the most dominant fragrance by a long way for me in Jardin de Vie Rose is ylang-ylang (maybe because the rose note is so clear in the Coach opening, it got lost for me in the Weleda). I agree with the previous reviewers; the ylang-ylang gives this an aromatherapy vibe. It reminds me a lot of Aveda Shampure in the opening.
The fragrance all but disappears in the dry-down, though, becoming a skin scent. However, this is also where the rose comes in for me. This is especially true if you heat it up with an exhale before inhaling, so I imagine this frag would perform better in warm weather. It’s lovely if you can find it!

just got it half-priced from eBay after waiting so long for the prices to drop since this is not high-end and no fancy bottle either (sadly you cant even call it flacon…)but and loving it instantly from the tester a few months ago. this is the most naturall smelling, pure rose I have ever experienced, more like aromatherapy, not really a perfume you put on to please others but just to calm yourself. a little bit spices ampe up the rose smelling but I cant smell any other notes but rose solitude. beuaty.

More than a perfume, this is some sort of body-care-aromatheraputical product. The smell is exactly the same of the Weleda Wild Rose face creams and shower gel. It promisses Turkish Rose and that is what it provides, A very natural Turkish Rose (although with hints of what I call “cricket cage”) with very discreet touches of citruses, geranium and ylang-ylang. Not a very elaborated fragance, nothing breathtaking, seductive or evocative, but natural and conforting.
Sillage and lasting power are very weak, it is clear that they have used only natural ingredients, dilluted and without animal components or chemicals.
