This version of the extrait is a combination between the J’adore Absolu and the J’adore L’or.
It has a pronounced tuberose and ylang accord and also some rose. The freshness of the melon and pear of the original is missing from this, in fact it smells very little if at all like the original.
I have a vintage extrait version of J’adore (circa early 2000) that is the classic J’adore but way stronger and concentrated (to the point of smelling a bit sour because of the fruity notes).
However this most recent extrait is totally different and beautiful on its own, but please do not expect the original J’adore only more potent, as this is a different perfume.

j’adore extrait de parfum is truly addictive and by far the king of the J’Adore line….
olfactory says floral… far from it!!!! I’ll change it to Oriental Floral cause it’s edible and playful in this time
initially it smells like J’adore Eau de Parfum but far more emotionally deeper (as if what you’re smelling envokes a feeling) but the dry down is like J’adore L’or but the sweetness is mature and confidently calm…
now to the smell: I feel Ylang Ylang, Rose, Jasmine may be the present but trust me many more notes play a role in this fragrance…. floriental softly gourmand
a glorious golden glazed caramelized rose dipped in warm champagne flow into floral marshmallow accords of Gardenia / Jasmine seasoned with a sensual sweet ylang ylang topping end with Ambery / vanilla duet accompanied by soft woods….
j’dore extrait is basically a far less florally harse version of J’adore with a mature toned sweet fragrant pyramid giving it a more sensual oriental feel… if you found the original too in your face or floral…. shampoo like as the comments said lol, you will love this definitely
as for projection…. when they said intense concentration they MEANT IT, you will smell this and fill a room so little is sometimes more… it has a warming effect, it as last a very long time, it’s a great investment
the Saks assoicate said they restock based on how many they sold…. I bought the last box they had so I hope they have more of this by January

just bought this today…. my first extrait ever…. messed up the perfumers now a little lol… but I retied it my way which I think is better because it becomes more personal as it should be ^_^
the smell is thicker / fuller than the EDP version… was hoping for the dauber stick but this was a stopper version.
the fragrance really projects in a warning way.. you can smell traces as you move, I’ll call it a darker version of the original…. so precious and mine lol..
I hope to run cross another bottle to keep enclosed… this will last for decades so I’m proud of this purchase and will seek other Parfum Extraits in the future
