Description

J’adore is a modern, glamorous fragrance, which has become incredibly popular, and for that reason developed in number of variants of different concentrations. J’adore is a luminous fragrance. Its opulent, golden scent shimmers on skin like sunbeams. The classic and ambitions of this fragrance reflects in the bottle shaped like Greek amphora. J’adore presents a new conception of Dior feminity, a scent so new and so in line with Dior style at the same time – sweet but balmy, slightly sharp floral with fresh mandarin in the top; jasmine, plum, orchid and rose in the heart; and amaranth, musk and blackberry in the trail. It was created in 1999.

The nose behind this fragrance is Calice Becker.

It’s been sometime since I’ve worn this beauty! And today once again in Spring I’m reminded of what a lovely fragrance she is!
A Bright, sunny and feminine floral! Effortlessly elegant!
J’dore is a staple in my collection as it’s so easy to wear in many different settings!I think I’ might take it with me camping this weekend!
    Clean, ladylike & non offensive!-<3

This is ok, but in my opinion there is nothing special about it. It reminds of shampoo and I personally think there are other much nicer perfumes than this one. Also a little overpowering. I know it is really popular, maybe that’s why I would prefer to wear something else 🙂 Just feels a little overrated to me.

Timeless and lovely. I selected this to wear for my conference with 12 other staff on this chilly Autumn afternoon. It is the perfect choice for professional occasions, with its blend of florals and fruit. Not surprised this has remained a favorite since 1999.

When it comes to classy floral arrangements. I close my eyes and immediately I see a world of meadows and castles and I hypothesize that when the beauty met the beast had to have this perfume on her. I imagine carrying a basket of flowers with her and when I think of the latter I think of the majestic, sparkling Rose: “The rose that the fairy had offered him was really an enchanted rose.” A timeless classic just like the fairy tale whose beginning is Intriguing and the final sweet and enveloping.

As someone who has disliked pure florals for as long as I can remember, J’adore has remained the floral I find distinctive and appealing. I think the fruity notes that were chosen to back the jasmine in J’adore are genius; the melon and pear are water-rich, sugarless, and juicily opulent when mixed with the floral notes. Where to me virtually every other floral on the market resembles an overripe bouqet decayed in alcohol with a studio fan behind it, this one is impeccably smooth, bright and golden. I would say that it is neither “fresh” nor “seductive”; it would make an awesome special event scent where femininity, glamour and class are being conveyed. Additionally, because it is such an anomaly among contemporary department store florals, it can enhance any woman (or man) of any age without pigeonholing her into the teenybopper or old lady categories.

Man. This scent has just cheapened so much. It reminds me of shampoo and those overly-fruity body sprays. Gone is the gold, sensuous, warm aura. I just don’t get it… I had J’adore years back and liked it. I’m not even sure if that was the “OG” J’adore, but it was more elegant and sophisticated.
I’m not sure how many times Dior has significantly altered the formula, but it’s noticeably worse off.
I keep reading that the original was beautiful, and considered getting the L’absolu for this reason (it’s been compared on numerous sites), but they just dropped the updated L’absolu and I’m really skeptical.
Just top with formula alterations. What is going on?

I bought a bottle of contemporary j’Adore some years ago and quickly sold it away: I couldn’t imagine why I had once liked it – until I accidentally bought a bottle originating from the turn of the millennium. The vintage one should probably have a review page of its own, the smell is so different.

I first smelled J’adore on a bleak winter day a couple of years ago. It was on a bottom shelf but the beautiful bottle caught my eye. The sales assistant gently told me it is for “older ladies” and tried to convince me to try whatever the newest launch at the time was. But J’adore left such an impression on me, I felt instantly happy and cheerful with it on my skin and while it is a refreshing scent it feels golden and luminous to me, it truly feels like rays of sunshine but at the same time it feels like a refreshing stream of cold water. Eventually J’adore was added into my wardrobe I could not get it out of my mind.
It starts out strong with a strong almost metallic melon scent combined with a bouquet of white florals. The melon calms down quickly to an almost sheer juicy sweetness that lasts until the dry down. It is hard for me to identify any particular flowers in J’adore but they are there. This is a juicy fruity fragrance, a sheer almost aquatic scent and at the same time it is woody and floral. I know it sounds confusing but J’adore is a perfect blend of all those elements. This is probably why so many people find it to be boring and unmemorable. For me the balance is part of its’ allure, it makes me feel more balanced.
J’adore dries down into a slightly more woody base but it smells pretty linear to me after the harsh opening. I love J’adore, it is well behaved, predictable and so versatile. Appropriate for pretty much every occasion. Do spray lightly though, this is a powerhouse on me. It lasts all day and one spray has decent silage on me. This will forever be in my wardrobe, it makes me instantly happy and makes me feel calm, alert and balanced.

Musky melon and white floral.. very mid 90s and somewhat generic, like a fruity shampoo scent. I always wanted to give this perfume a chance because the bottle is beautiful and it’s clearly a very popular fragrance.. but alas, it is not for me. Projection is outstanding but it just makes me think of freshly washed hair and not perfume.

The fragrance you currently find at the market is something flat, ugly, terrible, uninspired that is not worthy to keep the same name of my beloved J’ Adore. Shame on you Dior.

I picked up a 50 ml bottle of the EDP in a thrift shop, with about 8-10 mls left. Vintage unknown. I try to like it and I feel I can vaguely smell the golden shimmer that apparently marked out this perfume as one of the greats. What I get is a pleasant floral fruity shampoo. If this was the only perfume I owned I would certainly wear it with enjoyment. It is an easy-wearing, all-occasion fragrance, rather safe, but it makes me feel pleased with my day. A masterpiece it ain’t.

I received a micro mini of this scent recently. There’s no way of telling whether this is vintage or not.
I remember Dior frags from way back, 40 or more years.
They were classy and distinctive, from their scents to their beautiful bottles with the houndstooth pattern. If J-adore is indicative of what Dior has become, I’m very disappointed.
J-adore is a sweet,fruity/floral scent. It’s not bad by a long shot, but it’s not great either. If it didn’t say Dior on the bottle I’d consider it any of a hundred sweet fruity/floral scents that are available.
J-adore starts fairly strong and dries down to – you guessed it – a sweet, floral/fruity finish. It has that undefinable note of cheapness which is so common to modern frags. Alas, J-adore will not join my hoard of favorites …

  13. :

    3 out of 5

A whopping 3.65 points out of 5?! Come on! I just wonder why the classics are always rated below 4.00 when they can stand against niches (of course I am pertaining to the vintages).
To those people commenting J`adore has no personality or that it has nothing special, let me ask you a question, have you ever gotten your hands on the 1992 release? J`adore way back then was intense, with a day’s length and spectacular projection for the first 3 hours. J`adore’s base was a perfection of Tommy Girl’s: the intense tonka bean was there, the use of blackberries and melons without making the perfume smell kitschy, it was soapy and ozonic (which to my nose suggests the metallic accord of what Dior hoped to be an olfactory representation of gold), J`adore was a full-bodied woman which catered to the 90s fruity floral era and the minimalism of the coming 2000s. But even though the golden age of perfumery was waning, Dior proved a point that masterpieces (this, alongside with Dune) can be made outside the green, oriental and chypre genre.
This used to be so beautiful and serious.

This is my signature fragrance ❤️To wear

  16. :

    4 out of 5

This is a strong, sophisticated, white floral. The opening is sharp magnolia with a hint of pear. The dry down is softer, but still a strong presence. I would not classify this as a sweet fruity floral.
Sillage and projection are moderate and lasts on my skin.

  17. :

This is very sweet . This smells like a multitude of very sweet fragrances . There is an entire ocean of fragrances that smell like sugar and flowers . I find nothing appealing about it all , unlike many other Dior frags that are head turners . This smells like something a middle school girl would wear to a sock hop on Friday night .

  18. :

Floral and sweet, it lasts for a fairly good amount of time. Kind of like Fructis shampoo. Not sure it’s worth the price but it is a nice every occasion scent

  19. :

A masterpiece. One of scent thay will remain in their memory to every women whom ever wear it. A classy, distinguish scent. Very bold, mature and elegant. Last the whole day.. about 8 hours but the projection and sillage is moderate to me. People will notice you but not draw very much attention. So it is suitable for any occassion. But for me, i would wear it for a formal occassion, such as dinner, a wedding, or a date. Wear it with a gown or formal outfit and you are good to go. I wont use it in a workplace. And this scent definitely not for a youngster/teenage…
My 1st bought was 5 years ago and only half bottled finished and not use it anymore because i want it to be vintage collection. Im not intent to buy 2nd bottle because thats just not me lol… i wont buy the same perfume for 2nd or 3rd time… if i like it very much, i will keep it forever and one sniff a day is enough. Overal score is 8.5 out of 10

I purchased a bottle of this off E Bay and decided that it wasn’t for me! So gifted it my sister. Years later I decided to revisit it as I had a strong suspicion after reading reviews here and visiting Dior counters at Myre that my last J’dore may have been a fake! Anyway I treated myself to a bottle this Mother’s Day with a gift card and have been pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it! It has been cooler weather here so J Adores sunny disposition has been nice over the cooler months! I find this fruity fresh! I can see how many reviewers say it reminds them of shampoo! However this to me has an expensive perfume smell unlike many cheap smelling shampoos! And I get a delightful medly of white flowers especially tuberose, jasmine and freesia! I can detect pear! Overall this fragrance is a great day time juice for casual daytime for me! It is feminine, subtle, non offensive and pretty. I am looking forward to wearing this in Spring with light cotton dresses or shirt! Lovely.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

It begins with a full garden of sweet, red roses and steadily transforms into white tuberose and fluffy white clouds. It develops softly.
This is like the lighter, versus darker, version of the billowy, complex and layered fragrances that are my personal favorites. It has depth, character, development and settling that occurs. It doesn’t remain sweet and flowery in an overbearing way – it becomes serene, like a lake after a rain storm.
This will be my complex but light scent, when I am in that kind of mood or need a change from my deeper darker favorites.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

Creamy floral. Very feminine but I just like it not love it

  23. :

    4 out of 5

A very transparent, watery jasmine, I would call this one; rather than the other kind – the opaque, skanky jasmine. Jasmine fragrances tend to be either one or the other of those for me. And it is to me primarily a jasmine fragrance, although others have cited other notes as the key note.
I think there is some grounds for concern as to the price of this. Pure DKNY is similar and very much less pricey, (and the jasmine in it is of a slightly different flavour, leaning a tad Alienish). I wouldn’t venture a conclusion as to that just yet; but it’s performance at this very moment is seriously impressing me as being that of a veritable powerhouse – especially so when I recall how long it is since I last applied it. And of course it’s more than just a jasmine, so it wouldn’t be fair to compare them as merely two jasmines. No this is a very complex & hardly-scrutable fragrance; and it’s transporting me through quite an olfactory landscape: one populated primarily by jasminey watery creatures – but inall with a healthily diverse olfactory ecosystem.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

J’adore is the queen of peppery/spicy jasmine for me (stunned that pepper is not listed here!!). A safe blind buy if you like spicy jasmine with a solid performance. Safe for everyday wear too and could work for both day and night. It was gifted to me by my ex-fiancé, and it’s funny because I only wore it once (the first time I met him 6 months earlier) and I’m sure he didn’t know what it was back then. He probably associated warm spicy jasmine with me and I would totally wear it now if it didn’t bring back all those unwanted memories. Sorry, J’adore, had to move on 🙂

  25. :

    5 out of 5

I got more of the cantaloupe than I was hoping for in this. It verges on being a bit too much for me. Otherwise it’s a nice everyday scent with decent longevity. Can get a tad soapy. I think it’s a rather casual scent instead of the elegance the bottle implies. I must say though that I prefer the Lumiere flanker to this since it’s more floral.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

As a man, this did not have the magic or elegance I thought this might have.
I get a well composed fresh women’s fragrance that is perfect for everyday wear or even work.
I did not get some understated elegance or some magnetism without being too sexy that I had hoped for.
Overall for the price I think there are fragrances that smell just as good if not better and last just as long.
I think you should look for something with more personality , unless you need something like this for your collection.
Not bad, but not great in my opinion

  27. :

I keep giving J’adore a chance over and over again.
I still find nothing spectacular about it. This is a fragrance I would wear for an interview or a day shopping when I don’t have to draw attention to myself.

My mother passed away six months ago. She was a fragrance lover and a bit of a hoarder, who never threw away anything. I am now browsing through her cupboards, throwing away unused cosmetics way past its use-by date, hundreds of empty bottles and boxes and such. Amongst all those I found a half-full 100ml bottle of J’adore EDP. It must be at least 15 years old, maybe more (I seem to remember that my sister bought it for her in 2000 or 2001) – the bottle is more rotund than its present-day design, and the scent inside is the original formula. It’s amazingly well preserved; the top notes are still there, if a bit quiet, and the entire formula is much better than what’s being sold under the same name today. The original is very soft and elegant, yet it lasts for hours and hours on the skin and doesn’t contain any of the overly-artificial components that prevail in the current version and give me headache. The old J’adore is all about white flowers (jasmine, freesia, lily-of-the-valley) + calones. It’s like someone (i.e. Calice Becker) mixed Amarige with Cool Water for Women! In that sense it’s a typical product of the 1990s, but one that could have stood the test of time, had it not been ruined by reformulation.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

It’s the freesia in this and My Burberry EDT that gives me a fancy hotel shampoo vibe. A bit too crisp of a floral for my taste. Classy, but not sexy on me – more of a work scent.

I just had my 40th birthday, so I treated my self to this parfume, as a deodorant. It´s way to expensive for me, as a eau de parfume og eau de toilette
    I love this scent.
To me it´s the light classy floral scent is the scent of summer. It’s not overpowering at all and smells light and elegant. I like the way it smells on my skin.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

On me, this smells fresh and clean and pleasant like a shower gel or like I use really fancy/strong-smelling shampoo. I’d wear it if it were a favorite of my husband or if it were gifted to me, but I don’t think I’ll buy a bottle and may not even use the tester again.
Unless it’s good for layering. I guess I could see that, so off to the Forum I go to see if there is a thread about J’Adore layering successes.

Despite being elegant and fresh and flowery, I can smell this perfume on almost every young socialite momma I met in my country! A little too mainstream, so I don’t recommend this for those who wants a signature smell of their own.
But it isss classy and elegant, you can smell the perfume from afar!

  34. :

    5 out of 5

I remember smelling this when it was brand new, but I don’t remember what it smelled like. I have a new bottle (obviously reformulated) and I don’t care because it smells wonderful. It’s like smelling white flowers just after a cooling summer shower. It’s so strong that when I sampled a spray on my arm, I could smell it through my sleeve, but it’s not so strong that it’s overpowering. It’s just a lovely, soft aura that makes you feel sophisticated and clean

  35. :

It is the perfect summer fragrance for girls who want a sunny and flowery/fruity fragrance long lasting. It’s fine for day and night and is very elegant, sparkling and very feminine. I love it!!!

I personally bought this perfume because of the beautiful bottle. I’m not a big fan of Dior…I want to love their perfumes but their perfumes don’t love me back…it’s complicated lol. I do enjoy wearing J’adore in the winter time, the staying power is wonderful. If you’re looking for a sophisticated scent, this might be it for you.

Hey guys, for those of you who currently live in the UK, the clothing store Next sells an excellent dupe called “Adore” 😉 they didn’t bother hiding their shame with their name choice. It smells the same. I got the 10ml purse version for 4 pounds. Love J’adore. Glad I saved my money I can now spend on eau des merveilles.

  38. :

    4 out of 5

Slightly too clean and sweet for me, and it barely lasts five minutes on my skin (which is a problem I have with most sweet perfumes).

  39. :

    3 out of 5

I do not understand why this scent is a best seller. To me it smells like a cleaning product or a shower gel. It smells cheap, had no sillage and it is not original.
    Anyway, to each its own.

This perfume does not wear well on my skin. I wanted so badly to like it because of its classic fresh scent, but we do not have good chemistry. It smells watery and sour on my skin–reminds me of vodka and lychee cocktails.

In my post here from 2015, I wrote that my husband sometimes asked me to put it.
Now in 2018, 3 years later, he gave me today a
    J´adore as a mother´s day present.
J´ adore is definitely my scent and only with him.
I don´t need to say that this gem means A LOT to me.
The smell of this treasure is like “true love”: it lasts beautiful smoothly forever upon the skin, and even after it´s gone, it´s like a kiss that you ´re still inebriated by the sensation of the moment.
J´adore is absolutely the best floral to live a true love…if you wear this romantic, happy and sunny floral full of class and elegance with yours, on the top having this name, the chances that the romance will have a “happy end” will increase a lot.
    A Classic like J´adore is pure real love…lasts forever…
    Good Luck!

    Very Pretty.
I’v been wearing this off & on for so many years but, never wrote a review J’dore is very lovely. When it came out is was a bit different. Very nice. But, it does grow old. Not that it’s bad. Just I grow sorta bored with it. I do like it enough that I always have a bottle in rotation. It’s a great go to scent when I really don’t know what else to wear. It’s universal. It’s probably best suited for warmer seasons. But, truthfully this can be worn just about anywhere, anytime, any season, any occasion. But, now there are so many other perfumes that smell so much like it. With the same silage, and longevity for a fraction of the price. It hardly seems worth to pay that price tag. I get a lot of Jasmine, pear, blackberry and specifically white rose. It’s very well blended. I do like this perfüme. It’s definitely very ” Classy” & elegant. You really can’t go wrong with it.

I received a 100 ml bottle of this for free, I know it’s my little sisters favorite and that’s why I’ll be giving it to her. I think it smells very classy and “springlike” I see elegant and sophisticated young business women wearing this. Expensive soap with a tad of floral and a dab of fruit. Not my jam but I love the house of Dior and I can see why this is so popular

  45. :

Bananas, juicy flowers, then a slightly sour note (magnolia?)… there is nothing else like this. She is unique and demure. I really like this and it lasts so long.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

Mature and sexy, yet somewhat forgettable to me.
I smell the fruit first, but after a while the floral notes seem to almost suffocate it.
My little sister says this reminds her of a librarian, perhaps all the white floral.
Somehow the first feeling I get when I smell this is that it’s like if white gold had a scent to it.
I feel like it could easily become an everyday scent, sophisticated enough for evenings and non-offensive enough for the workplace.
It’s not going to become my signature scent, but I can see myself wearing it to formal events and feeling instantly comfortable in it around strangers.

  47. :

This is one of the best female spring fragrances for me.
    very elegant, powerful, floral scent.
This scent is my mum’s second favorite parfum.
It can be wedding scent, like Elie Saab- Le Parfum.
I compare the characters of these two perfumes.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

This is the first fragrance I smelled and still one of my favourite after trying so many perfumes. I like the whole j’adore line perfume scents as well as their bottle design, in fact this is what the first thing that caught my attention.
The smell is so floral and feminine but it is not overly feminine which is too mature and hard to wear for a 20-year-old girl. A good example is Chanel No5. They are both floral and feminine scents but I would say one cannot carry No5 in her twenties and is best for women above 30 or even 40 when they are mature and have life experiences. Whereas j’adore is a much younger and vivider version of floral and feminine scents. It reminds me of the fragrance on a goddess. If a goddess would use a perfume the it must be this one. I don’t know if I am influenced by the advertisement by Charliz Theron but she did really well in the advertisement and it seems that she is the embodiment of a goddess.
The rose note is the strongest to me while jasmine and fruity notes are also quite obvious. This is a must-have fragrance. I love it so much.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I usually love Dior for everything including perfume but this perfume is very boring and forgettable to me. I have a sample and every time I try it I am blown away once again by how plain and unremarkable it is, and every single time I forget how it smells. I don’t think I could recognize it on anybody. It’s the ultimate “meh” for me. Not to say that it smells bad. It smells nice. But that’s it. “Nice”. Nothing else. Smells like a sunny but boring day in which you have nothing interesting to do. If this perfume would be a feeling it would be that when you are forced to sit in a class at school but you look out the window at the blue sky and sun and you hear other kids playing. I have nothing against Avon, they have some lovely frags, but also some very forgettable ones and J’adore smells like it could be one of Avon’s generic whatever perfumes.

Lovely jasmine fragrance, but I really wanted fruit notes and they’re not picking up on my skin.

  51. :

A lovely fragrance. The bottle is gorgeous, the sillage is subtle and friendly and the fragrance itself is a fresh, clean floral that is well blended and warm. The warmth of this scent is what appeals here, it’s like the sun softly shining on your skin on a nice spring day.

  52. :

    4 out of 5

Juicy, floral and fruity fragrance. A little bit of everything that a woman needs to feel pretty, lovely, and light hearted. I have to admit that it smells very sophisticated on my skin (in the contrary with my other flirty, sexy, fun and girly Victoria’s Secret and Juicy Couture fragrances). I know…and I’m not afraid to say it. I am wearing and collecting those “girly” scents from the two perfume houses, being well known for their sweet fragrances 🙂 However, I DO recognize, enjoy and appreciate those scents for “grown ups” as well. Lol.
A GREAT fragrance, to me, usually is the one that I can NOT single out a specific note in it. ALL the notes are well blended together, supporting each other in a whole structure. It develops with time but stays true and does NOT change its origin in the end. Dior J’adore IS one of those fragrances!
When wearing this perfume, people will definitely take you seriously. You will provide a positive and productive atmosphere around your work environment. Perfect fragrance for job interview (important executive positions). It is NOT on the “list” of perfumes for a big boss but it suits his/her right-hand executive staff, or as a vice president or assistant manager of any big company. This one also has amazingly good sillage and longevity. It lasted ALL DAY on me.
I gotta take advantage of the 15% off promotion, applied on all fragrances at Macy’s today and get this one for sure. I myself am an experienced eBay’s “junkie” as I have bought fragrances there. And I would NOT buy or recommend anyone to buy THIS ONE on eBay at any cost, due to the fact that it is a very popular one on the fake/knock-off fragrance list, among Chanel Coco Mad, and Versace Bright Crystal… 🙁

I ended up buying a small bottle of this because it is a staple and because I could not afford L’Absolu (my actual favourite) but the truth is that I still genuinely love this. It doesn’t last, though, which makes me quite sad.
Fruity jasmine fragrance with light sparkling effects. Almost like champagne.

J’adore is fruity and floral, bright like sunshine, and of a golden, clear scent with a light robe of sweetness. It is sharp and clean at the base, but is rounded and softened at the corners by a soft trail of musk which gives it depth. Other than that touch of depth from the musk, it is a perfume open and honest in personality. Its blend of notes capture the best of the fresh floral elements of crisp jasmine, orchid, and rose; the lush and sweet fruit features of plum, blackberry, and cantaloupe; and the bright notes of the many-toned mandarin. Breaths of peach tiptoeing throughout, bring the whole symphony of scent to perfection. Opulent and sumptuous in its own bright way.

In mourning. I have a tester from years ago with 1/4 left, in its original white Dior vial. One small spritz the other day after x years, and it was even better than I had remembered! It’s a shame they reformulated it. I went to Sephora and got a sample of the recent version. It now comes in a 5 oz size that has a pretty good price tag, if not for the forgettable and mediocre scent inside the bottle. I sprayed it on myself last night… wouldn’t care to get even at one tenth of the price tag.
Did I regret not getting it back in the days? A bit. It was beautiful but too fancy and glamorous than my style. I’d feel like an imposter or something wearing it. So I put it on my list for One Day. Yes, I regret it!

An absolute hands down favourite fragrance for me. A soft, juicy, light floral with a subtle and refined soapy freshness. Highly wearable for almost any occasion at any time of year. Women who I smell J’adore on always smell great to me. I pick up quiet hints of fruit sweetness in the top notes but nothing sickly or sugary. I also get a subtle aquatic note that I am pleased is not ever present or too strong (that would ruin things for me). At the heart the dewy floral bouquet appeals to me greatly. J’adore feels like the workman (workwoman even?) of the modern Dior house. She isn’t pretentious or extravagant but she consistently delivers perfect results. J’adore will always be a staple in my wardrobe – it simply smells really pretty, which makes her a strong favourite and I always go back for more. If I could choose only one fragrance that would suit all occasions, I’d choose this one.

J’adore was released in 1999 and marked an entire generation of women. Its success was so amazing that the fragrance continues receiving variations until today and the J’adore line already has more than 20 fragrances created on the same floral theme.
The original fragrance (EDP) was not created by the current perfumer of the house – François Demachy – but by Calice Becker, nose behind creations for JOOP!, By Kilian, Donna Karan, among other brands. The composition was also another, rich and complex, a mixture of flowers and fruits capable of seducing even the most frigid creature. It was inspired by the bouquets that accompany the rites of passage, such as weddings and baptisms, and included notes of magnolia, peach, pear, plum, tuberose, freesia, orchids, jasmine, blackberries, vanilla, cedar, etc. A burst of femininity!
My bottle was produced in 2015 and is already part of the batch produced by the current perfumer, with a much more minimalist composition, a result of changes throughout the collection since the Eau de Toilette was launched in 2002 when Dior decided to meet the appeal of some fans who asked for a softer version that could be worn at any time.
And what has changed? EVERYTHING! The J’adore EDP that is currently sold remains dazzling, but lost the fruity and tangy aspects of before, becoming just a floral-style perfume. It combines notes of ylang-ylang from Comoros, Damascus rose and two types of jasmine – Sambac and Grasse –, respectively, head, body and base of the fragrance.
On my skin, ylang-ylang gives a creamier and sweetened output, thanks to its nuances that sometimes resemble the smell of bananas. The rose imparts that floral and diurnal content, plus the maximum femininity it represents, and the jasmine brings a bit of depth and addiction, with a facet that is almost narcotic, floral and slightly green. It behaves in a linear way and this is one of the characteristics that attracts me most in this fragrance.
J’adore Eau de Parfum is a fragrance that reminds you of the sun on the skin, daylight and colors ranging from yellow to gold. It is easy to become the signature of any woman, especially the Brazilian one, considering that its aroma combines with our tropical climate. To improve, it exudes magnificently and has high durability. A perfect combo of the Dior house, which is about to complete two decades and continues to succeed.

ahhhhhh how much I love you J’adore. It has everything I want in a perfume, so bad I accidentally dropped the bottle and it won’t spray except when I press on the sprayer so hard till my hand gets red and swollen I’m considering getting another bottle because I miss spraying it like I used to before (good thing my bottle is almost done so I don’t feel that guilty)

A creamy, soapy, and clean feminine fragrance. More white floral than fruity on my skin. Warm, tender, and comforting. Elegant. Discreet and unoffensive. A versatile scent appropriate for the office or a night out. I had only sampled knock-off testers at the drugstore until my recent and first purchase, one of the reasons I waited so long to spare the expense, and they all were too over-powering for my taste. Such a shame, because the real deal is way more sophisti
