This is quite pleasant but I would not describe it as fresh..it is not a timeless fragrance as it is definitely a 1970’s scent. I do wear it but it needs to be reapplied..i have had no compliments from anyone when I put it on. all in all it’s ok.

This is a nice fresh fragrance as the accords suggest, it’s gently fresh and light.
If it stayed the same throughout its short life I would perhaps add it to my collection.
But it doesn’t so I won’t. It turns into a soft green tea ish metallic gentleness.
Perfectly fine I guess, but no good for me. Hermenia is not miles apart from this nor is 5th ave after 5, which has the same soft metallic coolness.
I have given away some fragrances and discovered that oxygen and light age them as we know, but it improves some bottles. Only some though, others it will ruin!
After 5 Improved, as did ck be, but only those two.

This is so bad. Headache inducing and nauseating.
I had to wash it with soap and spray another perfume on my skin!
    Go figure!
Also, please do not insult the lovely Chanel Cristalle by comparing this nasty scent to it.

Hmm. Well, first off I have to admit that I am comparing this to vintage Cristalle, and perhaps the modern version is different. But to my nose they are not the same. I think it’s the combination of peach and galbanum in Jade that I actually and sadly find rather nauseating. This is borderline scrubber territory for me.
I dimly remember Sea Jade from my early childhood and this doesn’t smell of that either.
Very disappointing, I can understand that others like it and it’s certainly very good value for money if you do enjoy it, but no Cristalle in my view.

Why buy Chanel christalle when this is just as good!?

Cool, dry, green and delicious chypre. I wear this on summer evenings. Amazing quality for the price and brand.
As others have said there is a similarity to Chanel Cristalle, but this is a touch drier and a little more linear for me. Somehow, Jade isn’t so in your face and is a touch more ‘sexy skin scent’ than the powerful Cristalle.
An excellent find for me, anyhow, and definitely now a firm part of my perfume repertoire!

Thanks for babbling on, nitschevo! I wore Yardley’s Sea Jade to work in the early 70’s and have never been able to find even a vintage bottle. I remember it was very green and fresh and I wore it only in the summer – not a cold weather fragrance at all. I plan on buying another ‘fresh and green’ scent for the hot weather this year. Yardley Jade it is!

Yardley Jade is mouthwateringly good – I prefer it to Cristalle. Try layering a cheap EDT like this with a pricier EDP from the same scent family e.g. I love one spritz of Miss Dior Le Parfum spread between pulse points, then spritz all over with Jade and use Jade to top up during day – both scents are chypre-florals. I think I have found my perfume nirvana!

This is lovely, and like others have said it smells so similar to Chanel Cristalle. It has a slightly earthier dry down to Cristalle. So glad I found this little beauty, I love Cristalle in spring time but now I have this it’s a great alternative when I’m running low on Cristalle. Perfect everyday Spring fragrance, uplifting and fresh.

I have a 2/3 full of a 1.7 oz bottle of this that I would like to swap in the United States. Please contact me if you are an experienced swapper and have something you would like to swap. I’m open to different types of fragrances. Thank you.

Yeşillik ve otlar ile içindeki şeftali notasıyla hoş bir karışım olmuş.
Polaire’den daha hafif ve güzel koktuğunu düşünüyorum.

I bought this scent last year at boots after reading that it is very simular to Chanel Cristalle. As I don’t have that kind of money anymore, I just bought Jade after trying it on my skin with a tester. I have to say I think it is fantastic. I feel it’s got more edge then Cristalle. Not as smooth, but just lovely. I don’t think it is missing anything as some have commented here about Jade. It’s just a super crisp green day fragrance. Unisex too, as my male friend likes it very much. We both agree it is a very cheerful scent. It last on my skin for about 4 ish hours. On my cloths much longer.

Bought this for a song on Amazon due to a recommendation in the forum and I’m so glad I did. I was gifted a big bottle of Cristalle EDT to my 18. or 19. birthday and since then love the scent to death. I’m also very glad that my mom navigated my taste in perfume early on ( I also have big bottle of YSL Paris EDT). But then again, “back” then there weren’t many of these super sweet perfumes out there, they were still recognizable as perfume and not to be mistaken for sweets or baked goods. No hating, just observing.
The campaign forJade states that a former fragrance – Sea Jade – was the inspiration behind this one. I read somewhere in the forum that Yardley sold the formula of Sea Jade to Guy Laroche who launched it as “J’ai Ose”- and it became a big hit. Now that makes me wonder if the masses still buy perfumes for the brand, not the scent. But I’m babbling. I like Yardley and their soliflores and I like Jade, period. To me it smells like a hybrid of the EDT and EDP of Cristalle. I agree with the velvety part, maybe that’s the rose and patchouli? I don’t know – thumbs up, Yardley! Cool, green and sophisticated.

I have had this for several months. I agree with cafe au lait..feels like something is missing….but I do like the scent. I might experiment with some layering…hmmm
Broke it out today..its actually quite chic! gonna wear it to church Sunday.

It is a pleasant scent which is enjoyable to wear, however it reminded me of a deo spray from past. I is definitely a green scent. I have to admit that I feel something important is missing, a scent that must be there but it is not. I guess it is because there is no warmth in it and it is an unusual, odd scent. Definitely gives a cold feeling, but still nice. I know I’m giving mixed messages while explaining but the scent itself is so 🙂 Longevity is very good compared to the price.

Gorgeous, crisp green and fresh. This is my latest buy and will certainly be a keeper.
Not quite the same as Cristalle but it makes me feel fabulous.

This is a summertime beauty. An amazing Cristalle dupe that, on my skin, lasts much longer than Chanel’s EdT. Oakmossy goodness, powdery galbanum, with bergamot and flowers faintly in the background. Perfectly inoffensive, smells luxurious and expensive whilst being relatively cheap in price. Great for Mediterranean summer.

Oh, this Jade is hugely similar but better than Christalle. I love Chanel, but I think that Jade is by far more velvety, if that makes sense. There is no harshness. And I love the reasonable price, too. I bought it from Boots, without a second of hesitation 🙂
    Lovely xx

This is so similar to Chanel Cristalle that it stopped me in my tracks. A great scent if you can’t stretch to Cristalle. Green, light and fresh with understated floral notes and a mossy base.

I like this a lot for spring/summer. It is different from the yardley floral offerings as it is more of a fresh fruity scent. Slightly unisex but I find it captivating. Worth a try and I may well repurchase this one although I did buy it on special offer. Lasts quite well although needs some topping up during the day.
