I bought a bottle of this and wore it regularly – it’s very nice – it’s light and fresh -does seem to fade thru the day if I didn’t spritz some on my clothing.
I kept it until I dropped it in the bathroom one day and broke the bottle. My 9 year old niece hugged me one evening when I was wearing it. Later that night she told my sister that I smelled so good she could live in my arms forever. 🙂

This was an impulse buy. At fist I wasn’t really into it as I thought it didn’t quite fit my personality. but now I have grown to kind of like it. The opening is fresh white florals, with a peppery head; it is a little tart and sweet…maybe the passionfruit? Then it settles into a fresh vanillic powder. The silliage isn’t huge, which I like. I can spray this multiple times without inducing a headache and get the right amount. That being said it doesn’t last the the entire day on my skin. However, it does seem to last if sprayed on clothing.

Fresh, sweet, fruity…. If you look at the notes, there really isn’t much going on but this is one fresh scent…. Preppy comes to mind…
Doesn’t last very long, but it is a great pop of fragrance that settles down on the skin to a nice clean laundry fragrance….
If you are looking for a “scent” that isn’t obnoxious or fruity or heavy, this is a very nice “my skin but better” fragrance…..
Had this for quite some time and still not willing to give it up…..

This is S-U-M-M-E-R to me. Starts off quite sharp with a blast of tart Passion-fruit with a little Pomegranate but quickly fades down to a fresh, sweet, juicy but soft scent. “Refreshing” is definitely the word I’d use to describe Jade, and I can see how perfect this fragrance would be on a hot, humid Summer day. Longevity on me isn’t big, but I’d happily reapply this 🙂 I like it a lot! Thanks to the lovely Fragrantician who sent me a decant of this ♥ it’s making me long for warmer days already!

Jade Banana Republic ..
Opened with sour fruit. Then transformed to a floral vanilla. Dried down to a creamy, sweet, and slightly woody type of scent. Some ozonic and green quality are also noted. There are more to the scent than just pomegranate and passion fruit.
Jade surpassed my expectation with its complexity. Shy and quiet but is not without personality. Limited projection. Moderate-long longivity.
It’s however a headache induced agent for me. I’ll have to pass.

I picked this up semi-blind from TJ Maxx (I only sniffed an open container which wasn’t officially a tester). From what I could tell, it was worth the gamble. And I was so right!
The packaging is lovely. A solid wood box with a magnetic closure protects a sort of teardrop bottle, which is flat on side should you wish to keep it out of the box.
I don’t get floral fruity at all. I get more green, woody, with a hint of florals. Maybe 45 minutes into the drydown there is some fruitiness there (could be the passionfruit; I’m still learning to pick out notes), but it is not sweet. That is about the only transition; it’s relatively linear.
It’s light, close to the skin, and I concur with those below who said it would be good for office wear. I can also see potential for layering with another fragrance, although I haven’t tried that yet.
It lasts longer on fabric than on my skin. I have taken to spraying my sheets and pillowcase at night, which ensures I fall asleep with a smile on my face. I like it more every time I smell it, and am planning on buying another big backup bottle or two.

I spray this in the morning and can still smell the fresh pretty scent that evening. Pretty impressive, if you ask me! To me, this smells very “inoffensive”–not usually my highest compliment to pay a perfume, but in this case it’s a good thing. Some days you just want to smell clean and fresh.
Jade mainly smells like tropical fruit, a hint of something green, and slight floral and woods. No one note really stands out to me…it all blends together into a vaguely tropical, slightly sweet, slightly floral scent. It reminds me of something, but I don’t know what; maybe I know someone who wears this often. But that kind of gives you an idea of what kind of perfume this is. Not too memorable, but definitely nice!

I like the bottle and the wooden box which fits perfect to this fresh and slightly woody perfume. Amazing summer fragrance, bit linear but not boring. I would describe it as modern and clean. Like it very much!

I don’t like many perfumes but this one’s OK. It’s gentle and classy yet modern. I wouldn’t wear it on a date, but it’s nice for everyday. I’m wearing it this fall, but I live in Florida. It reminds me of a sunny but cold day on a college campus.

Banana Republic JADE is a very friendly and likeable not-too-fruity, not-too-floral, slightly woody fragrance perfect for the modern “no barriers” cubicle-style office, since it smells good without being pushy and insistent. Clean and fresh but with no citrus or aromatics, this relatively linear edp also has a resinous quality which sustains the juiciness of the passionfruit and whatever the floral bouquet here is (unnamed in the notes and with no particular petal marked enough to be singled out by my nose…).
I like JADE and am happy to have a 50ml bottle, which I purchased blind after having tested the other BR frags in mini bottles (JADE was not available for some reason), by which I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, BR uses well-regarded perfumers, I have since learned, so no surprise was in order! JADE is a nice, albeit unexceptional fragrance with a quiet, subtle appeal. Good for hot weather–no one will feel poisoned in the wearer’s presence. (-:

this is a very odd scent, I think. Not very fruity at all, but certainly floral in a slightly oh so slightly powdery way, without becoming old fashioned. There is a clear note of cedar to me….it’s almost unisex if not for the lovely lovely floral notes. I imagine…..a young, elegantly dressed woman working in a library with an eccentric-but-stylish fashion sense there. Maybe with rectangular glasses, dark wash skinny pants, and a lace cami with black bomber jacket and super straight hair.
This perfume exudes elegance and freshness, yet the woodsy-ness grounds it so it’s not too airy. I like to layer it with Nina Ricci Nina for a more feminine scent; I couldn’t believe how well the two complemented each other!

First time when i heard “Banana Republic” i imagined: African tropical woods and rain which drops from exotic fruits, this describtion also fits to this perfume.
“Jade” is a subtle fruity/floral but also woody one. People may thing it could smell simple because of the few notes but it smells like much more for me.
The tropical pomegranate conjures a fresh and very fruity beginning which is round off by the silky softness of musky cotton flower. A happy end prepares the kashmir woods, which gives this scent an oriental flair. Its good for sunny days and casual wear. The bottle is elegant, clear and modest, it comes into a round, woody and also pretty box.
