That thick and dark juice could’ve fooled me! It’s actually soft and calm, not smoky, and tobacco is definitely NOT the star of the show (in fact, there is none)!

Again, another familiar, comfortable and exquisite JoAnne Bassett fragrance. Her fragrances, i may warn you, don’t shout, don’t make dramatic openings, don’t try to yell at your face. They seem self-confident, like a good friend you can trust. Italian Smoke may be suitable to men, but women will enjoy it too, specially in the parfum concentration, where the notes seems to flow in a peaceful way. The tobacco is dry, smoky, but in the parfum it doesn’t develop so intense and it carries with it a good sparkling citrus accord. This citrus impression transform itself in a floral which is so soft, slightly sweet and fruity, delightful to the nose. The base seems more woody, but it still retains a citrus aspect, more green i guess. I suspect that she used mysore sandalwood here, it seems to have that perfect balance of creamy, woody, smoky and dry facets that i notice on this kind of sandalwood. Really good fragrance.
