I absolutely love to wear this fragrance when I am living in Florida. It reminds me of a trip to the beach without the sunburn. Lots of childhood memories from my childhood days on the Southern New Jersey Shore in North America. It may just be my memories at work but I think this is one of the most pleasant floral fruity fragrances I have tried and I do not like too much sweetness.

Not what I expected. Stays too powdery from start to finish, not something I am very fond of. Thought it would be sweeter with the sugar note but I just get citrus, powder and the slightest hint of coconut. It is a nice perfume… just not for me.

Very tropical as the name suggested.
It’s a summer fragance day or night.
Smells like a cup of margarita, no lemon or salt listed, but I can smell it.
Longevity and sillage are moderate. fragance very, very nice, warm, sweet but soft. You feel on the beach under a coconut tree, drinking margaritas, smelling the breeze from the sea and a nearby fruit stand, close to you some children eat cotton candy
I’ll take with me in my next Caribbean cruiser.
For me is a unisex fragance, no flowers here.
Remind me Island Waters by Victoria Secret (discountinued)

    Where can I get this?

This is my favorite summer fragrance! It lasts for several hours and transforms me into tropical paradise. It is a “happy’ fragrance and makes me feel that way. It lasts longer than any Tommy Bahama fragrance on me so far. Too bad Set Sail Martinique doesn’t have this staying power. Nearly all TB fragrances are for summer though, which is sad for me, when I would like to be able to wear it all the time but can’t get in the mood for it in dark cold gloomy days of autumn and winter. Island Paradise is really precisely it’s name and takes you there in your head. For that alone, it is worth it.

O.k. Hmmmm….Sugar and coconut….sounds wonderful….hmmmmmmm….but the reviews and the notes fail to mention a powerful opening that to me smells like margaritas and limes. I had to double check to make sure there wasn’t a mistake in shipping. It is true that there are no flowers anywhere in this perfume.
About 30 minutes in the sugar & coconut arrises, only a trace of margarita remains. Very soft and much more pleasant. Is it a quality scent? Yes, absolutely. And yes it makes me think of Tommy Bahama silky soft Aloha shirts & khaki shorts. It does manage to keep that tropical vibe even when in mixed drink phase. This is more unisex than feminine, even in the drydown, I think a man could easily wear it. Lasting power is great, albeit soft in the end. Sillage in the begining through the middle is powerful.

Got this one on ebay for very little money. Always a good thing 🙂 As with cocciom, I don’t smell any floral notes (thank goodness!) just a beautiful, slightly sweet coconut. Nothing amazing, just a pretty scent that is the epitome of summer!

This is such a wonderful perfume. I don’t smell any flowers in it, which is a plus to me. The coconut is so lovely; this perfume is not what I would call “sweet” though it does have sugar. It is very light so you do need to put it on a few times. But to me it is just the most heavenly thing – the smell is what I would describe as: my skin after I’ve been in the sun in the summer (with suntan lotion), and that makes me feel happy. It’s both seductive and warm but fresh somehow too. It does “take me away to an island paradise”…
