Yes, they are similar BUT only similar, Invidia is not a clone of Gucci Envy wich I adore. Openings are completely different, but in heart notes they share slightly similar notes, Invidia is spicy, there is no incense wich gives Envy its power and strength. Invidia is inspired by Envy, but it never will be.

Can’t say I’m too familiar with Envy, but this is an incredibly good woody scent. If Envy was anything like this, I’m not sure why they’d discontinue it.
This does lean a bit mature, IMO. I’m sure my co-workers will tell me I smell like an old man… But they say that about every wood scent.
Update: I really wish the opening ginger would stick around for longer. It becomes very dry… Maybe somewhat powdery, but mostly just dry and woody. Smells dated, but good. I might try it again in the Fall, or gift it to my father who has commented on it positively a few times.
