I agree with the other reviews saying this is linear in a good way. Nothing much changes on your skin throughout. Similar to my experience with Ambre Sultan and Oud Minerale. However this is a more balanced fragrance so I don’t mind the linearity.
Applied on fabric however… oh that’s a completely different story. The spiciness of the cardamom is toned down and becomes so pleasantly sweet. It will make you get lost in it’s magic. Like sitting in a hot tub after long day of work…

I agree with CobraCommander. I smell Incense on my skin.. But I like it! Great scent on a cold day!

The Cardamom know in this juice is just way too intense for me I actually like AMEN 10 times better than this fragrance

If you want the smell of incense in an Orthodox Church. This is the closest I’ve smelled. No it does not smell like disgusting oversweet A*men, not even a longshot.

This is all spices on me. Sadly, no coffee at all. A total cardamom grenade for sure (headache inducing). It is very warm & spicy making it suitable for wearing at night and colder months. It feels like I have rubbed of all the spices from my grandma’s

It smells good and refined but it’s too much expensive for a frag that has a Amen vibe.
Update: After sample for a while. I concluded that it’s a nice alternative for AMen and we can smell the quality.

This is another recent Kilian acquisition. On me, the opening is a total cardamom bomb. That’s all I can smell for about five minutes. It’s fine with me though because I love me some fresh-spicy cardamom! Having tested Mugler’s A*Men, I do see some similarity, but just in the first 30 minutes. After that, they smell totally different on my skin. I’m sure that might have something to do with me being female. On me, A*Men smells very similar to Angel, just way more masculine and a bit rough around the edges.
This is very smooth though, even as it’s transitioning through it’s stages. I don’t get any sharpness and to me, it’s not overly masculine either. The dry down is a bit woodsy and sweet; I almost smell hints of cocoa with the coffee. Longevity is excellent and sticks well to clothing too. Sillage is a bomb starting out, then mellows to a more moderate aroma.
Now, about the price and A*Men comparison. Honestly, I would do a side by side comparison, if possible. Both smell completely different on my skin. As for price, you be the judge. Kilian’s Intoxicated is indeed very intoxicating. Thumbs up from me!

This smells like a creamy chai coffee if one exists. Coffee with lots of whole milk. Fatty milk like the buffalo milk we have on the farm.
I have to admit I was hoping my favourite spices would provide a nice bit of kick but nope they are very low key. If any one stands out then it’s the cardamom which thankfully intensifies over time.
It smells like a very edible gourmand. Quite sweet and dense.
It’s ok if that’s your thing.
    Good longevity and sillage.

Intoxicated is quite simply a smoother, more refined, and more palatable version of Angel Men. Is it worth the dramatic increase in price? You’ll have to decide, but as for quality it’s superb.

To my nose this is a ringer for A*Men. Granted, it’s less synthetic and way smoother, but there are undeniable similarities, and without knowing which is which I would have genuine difficulty telling the difference. It’s a nice scent, but as with A*Men, I’ll leave it to someone else.

Excellent upgrade for Mugler fans, this is high quality patchouli, coffee and cardamom. Very glad to have it in my collection.

I bought this scent blind assuming based on notes and reviews it would be great. I was expecting to love it like I do Black Phantom but on my skin I got a rude shock! My body chemistry causes it to smell like male cat piss! (I used to have male cats and know that icky scent!) I bought a big bottle so I was really upset and kept trying to wear it hoping it changes after suffering through the first hour… nope it still stinks! I really wish this scent worked on me but nothing I try helps it. Very disappointed!

Intoxicated is a botanical aromatic. Although patchouli isn’t listed in the notes above, it’s by far the most dominant (if not the single only) note in this fragrance. I mean there might be other notes here, but they only add body to the fragrance so that it appears heavier as a whole.
I certainly don’t get any of the unique qualities from any of the other notes listed. That is…except for the coffee note…which does seem to take a little precedence as the fragrance begins to mellow out. The patchouli lightens up a little, and the boldness of the coffee becomes a little more present.
Even through this stage, this is still a very patchouli dominated fragrance, and over-spraying will definitely make it uncomfortable. Possibly just like with alcohol it’s not bad in small doses?
To describe the fragrance of patchouli, it has a very vintage-style 1970’s aroma to it. It’s deep and pungent, and with a heady sour-green freshness to it. Very bold and stimulating. Bushy, and hippy-ish.
And that about sums it up for Intoxicated. I wish there was more to say about it, but this is the end of the line. It’s a simple fragrance by nature, and considering its simplicity, I would image that this could only please the most die-hard patchouli lover; with the price tag leaving various questions unanswered.

    Kilian Perfume / Intoxicate:
    Aromatic Spicy
    Odor: hot and bitter
    Spread and durability: top
    Starting note:
A calm start and a little bit long with a cool and spicy smell
This cool touch will disappear (a beginning like all Kilian perfumes).
Then a little bit faster and more powdery, dry and open, more powdery experience, such as the dusty dust of the bitter heart and wood that comes from coffee and cinnamon.
It smells sweet tobacco and bitter chocolate, although not mentioned in the fragrance.
The aroma of the cosmetic and cocoa fatty faces is against the powdery cinnamon powder.
    Middle notes:
At this stage, with the presence of the palm of the atmosphere, the aroma will be a little smell of aroma, aromatics, juicy and auspicious smell. It will smell the bitter aroma of the coffee and give it a beautiful balm of notes. What I really waited for was aroma Enjoy it and get out of uniform.

Cardamon will be placed next to the coffee and will last until the end of your life
    Cartier / Declaration
An example of the beauty of the art of pushing.
    Final note:
The atmosphere is dark, heavy, warm, spicy and slightly damp, fragrant and slightly refreshing, and this aromatic and pleasant atmosphere creates a feeling of insanity in the person.
And powdery quality, optimistic, seductive, stylish, luxurious and aristocratic
The beauty of the smell is fragrant and refreshing with hot and spicy atmosphere with a bitter hearty chocolate
A delicate, soft, fluffy, smell of gourmet notes of cinnamon against the harsh, hard and bitter chocolate touch.
Suitable for special occasions and important appointments.
I suggest placing a special place in your collection.
    Sailage: 4.25 / 5
    Longevity: 4.5 / 5
    Scent: 4.5 / 5
    Overall: 4.25 / 5

A strong cardamom note is the star of this composition. Then, an airy coffee note paired with the dustiness of the cinnamon balances the head notes, I do feel a little vetiver on the base. Please, use sparingly as a little goes a long way, it can be intoxicating!

  16. :

    5 out of 5

Horrible. I was really shocked by this. It’s an overbearing, loud/spicy cardamom bombe that has an 80s powerhouse factor and just eradicates anything that would resemble a refreshing and sweet/relaxing trip to a barista coffee bar.
It’s not even vaguely sweet in the 1st 5 minutes, how the hell have Kilian actually managed this??
The coffee is not deep, and decadant; it’s totally weak, fleeting puff of semi-roast that passes for a £2 jar of Nescafe at a discount store’s close to end-usage date section.
After their stunning Apple Brandy, I dived straight into this one seeing ‘coffee’ and though they would have nailed-on another 10/10 fragrance, I was beaming with glee when the sample arrived (lol)
Oh well. Still shocked but you have to move on, 1 massive, missed opportunity to totally rule the planet by Kilian (best Apple AND coffee scent would have really done it)
    My rating: 2/10

    Aptly Named!
One of the best coffee fragrances around. Kilian did a fantastic job with this one. It is dark, mysterious, and sexy. Makes me feel like such a bad boy when I wear it. Intoxicated is a perfect scent for cold nights out and great for a date as well. I love to wear this in the rain and snow, just has a coziness to it. This is a gourmand, but its not overly sweet. It does have a bit of caramel/creaminess, but for the most part I get a roasty coffee smell. Works for most ages, but I would say it works best for someone at least out of college. Anyone younger than that I would just recommend A*Men by Thierry Mugler.
That’s my big issue with Intoxicated. A*men is way cheaper and it came out first. There’s is no denying that there is a huge similarity between the two, but there is also no denying (In my opinion) that Intoxicated is better. Much smoother and eliminates that horrible tar/chemical note that A*men has. Once they dry down they become a lot more similar, and performance is solid for both.
All things considered, I might just go with A*Men. I just hate that freakin’ gross and aggressive tar note.
    Intoxicated Rating – 8/10

Sweet, creamy coffee fragrance. It’s dark and seductive. Great scent for a date. The A*Men comparison is some what accurate but this is much more complex and high quality. Worth your money in my opinion.

Smells identical to A Man original which performs just as good for way cheaper. The only difference is Kilian uses better ingredients but you won’t notice this unless you’re a true connoisseur

This continues to dry down to a patchouli on me……like “This Is Not A Blue Bottle” I just recently wore. Doesn’t reall smell like Angel Men to me that much. But nevertheless, I turned down a good deal on this for a 20ml decant. Glad I did. And I have 15 Kilian Scents……so I can be HONEST. I like “Smoke For The Soul’ more actually. RaJuR real deep kool on YouTube

I really Love this Scent and the whole packaging etc. Opens with Turkish Coffee and merges into a classy Amen vibe. Downside… doesn’t last long, sadly. A BIG downside too as it’s not cheap. I would but more Kilian if They lasted longer but all of the ones I have tried have lasted 2 or 3 Hours Max and then fade away. A real shame as the smells are Lush and the packaging is Fab.

    Intoxicated By Kilian
    Bottle from – 2016
Yes, it’s a beautifull scent.Yes, it’s very similar to Thierry Mugler Angel Man.Yes, I love them both. Yes Intoxicated is more refined, more appealing, more sexi, more
mass pleasing than A man.And yes I will choose A man every single time insted Intoxicated.Don’t get me wrong.A man is my favourite scent, period. But in situation when you are in close encounters, when you kiss a girl, when you are in romantic evening ofc Intoxicated is better choice. But when you want to feel superior, when you are in quest of conquering a girl, when you want to let evrybody know that you are out of this world, don’t care what they think of you and let them know that you will certainly win all games that life put infront of you,I’m sorry but for that I’ll choose A man every single god given day.
    Longevity – 10/10(10+hours)
Silage/Projection – 8/10(nice projection and silage for the first 2-3 hours)
    Weather – autumn,winter
    Age – 22+
    Compliments – 9/10
    Scent – 9/10(beautifull scent)
Main notes according to me – coffee, patchouli, cardamom, nutmeg, dark chocolate
The drydown is more or less the same like the opening and i get some tonka bean, tobacco and vanilla.Intoxicated is a little bit linear scent but in a good way.
    Emotions -sexi,date,passionate,romance,love,warm
Perfect for autumn and winter casual activities, date,
romantic evening. You’ll get compliments with this one. Ladies love this scent.

This was another good lesson for me in listening to online reviewers, AND, not coming here first to see what’s up with a frag.
This is my first exposure to this house, have been waiting for a long time. I’m into niche. I’m into coffee (big time). Sounded like win-win.
Put it on a test strip yesterday and *immediately* responded with “Oh no…I’ve smelt this before.”
Where oh where have a smelt this? And this shouldn’t be happening, this is a highly respected niche house that I’m surely supposed to love.
So I must’ve smelled this from another niche house…
    …but…no…that’s not it…
    Oh wait. I know.
But that can’t be right, because that’s a heavy sweet tonka gig (Mugler Pure Tonka, sprayed on a test strip last December…I liked it to a point, and realized the stuff was so darn potent the inside of my car started sliding of buttery sweet vanilla. A bit too much).
So it could NOT be Pure Tonka, of course.
    But wait.
Yes, indeed, it is Pure Tonka.
    Just not the Tonka…
    The dreaded tar-Mugler DNA.
    HOW CAN THIS BE?!?
This is an expensive niche house.
“Yes,” Pure Tonka came out the year after.
But it’s the *DNA* that I’m getting.
    And. I. Absolutely. HATE. A*men.
Tar pavements ain’t sexy. Not to me. They are more suited to producing gag reflexes, if the need should arise.
Dumped the Intoxicated test strip in the recycle bin after trying for 15 minutes to tolerate it, and get just a HINT of a better dry-down.
But it was nowhere to be found.
Indeed. The people are absolutely right: The Kilian factory accidently accepted supplies that were intended for the A*men stink house (I do like a couple Mugler’s for the record) and just ran with it.
Ran it right into the black tar pavement.

This smells like the Original A-men from the early 2000’s. How A-men should be. This has a touch more coffee and less tar. Close to the skin but every little bit, you get a whiff that lasts for a minute. Smells great but not worth the money in my opinion though due to the performance. I want to be able to smell it consistently. Especially if it is a niche.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

Yea. This smells exactly like A*Men. There are a few reviews down below that claim that A*Men is different, but honestly, it could be the same juice inside both bottles. There are more interesting and unique fragrances to choose from from Kilian. This would be a pass for me based only on the fact that A*Men is about $200 cheaper for a larger bottle.

At 62 years of age, I may have a slightly different opinion on these fragrances than the younger people today.
First up, why would I want to smell like someone spilled my coffee and cream on my skin and clothes? I prefer my coffee in a ceramic mug and to be sipped after a meal. Yet I can see the intrigue, the novelty, and esoterica of these youth today, thinking that everything sophisticated, and classy is all about the smell of coffee. I also agree with many that would say why waste $270 on a bottle of perfume that you can get the exact same thing undiluted in the Angel Men for $45 online?
Now let’s get down to the specific spices. There have been many colognes over the past decades that smell like they came from India, or Kashmir. And those perfumes can still be had for pocket change compared to this, if that’s what you want. So after roasting my own coffee for over a decade and tasting wines at professional tastings and coffee cupping tastings for many years, it’s obvious that most people’s olfactory bulb sensory perceptions are going to notice coffee right up front. But after that this is where the question comes in as to what others are really sensing. Some will say cardamom, or nutmeg, or cinnamon. I would dare say that many youth today have never even tasted these spices, yet alone smelled them. My second wife was a Hindu, and she made homemade Chai Tea everyday from all the spices and more, including star anise (licorice-sweet.) So without anyone ever tasting all of the spices singularly, I can see how many people would confuse this fragrance as smelling like beef jerky or “meaty” as one said. I’ll just wrap it up with, like others have said, it seems to be a weaker diluted version of Angel Men, which I was introduced to in Montreal Canada back in 2000 when they first brought Angel out to the world. This version by Kilian just comes in and much prettier bottle. Ok, so it’s softer than Angel, not as much slapping you in the face- So some will say more elegant. So now I am intrigued to try the other Killian Fragrances that are not so much coffee.

The opening is quite strong and to me reminiscent of an air freshener. One of those bathroom ones. Just the base I mean. It does dry down to Mugler’s Amen. Just buy that and save yourself about $200.

  31. :

I tested a manufacturer’s sample, a half spritz on my wrist. Longevity was SUPER. I could still smell it well 12 hours later.
Loved this upon immediate spray, and for 5 minutes I was convinced I needed to add this to my “want” list. It is spicy (cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, maybe ginger), warm, a bit sticky sweet somehow. There is the tiniest bit of coffee and cocoa powder. But then at the 5 min mark in waltzed an after-shave note, like a party crasher. It stayed much past its welcome, too, and only faded after about 10 hours. The last two hours was all warm chai, with a lovely milky note.
I never could think of a perfume suitable for those polls that ask for a perfume that is perfect, save for one note. This fits the bill – perfection except for the after-shave. But, if you like that note this would be ideal!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

It starts as a beast and ends like a baby kitten!
Cardamom & a hint of coffee is what I smelled then it dries down to a sweet tuti-fruti kind of smell.
It’s nice but I don’t see it as a male perfume.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

This is a nice smell but not something that deserves me paying that much for it, what I smell is very similar to Turkish coffee, I get the coffee, cardamom and nutmeg, although Turkish coffee lacks the latter

I don’t own the By Kilian fragrance, but I do own the Perfume Parlour dupe of it. The oil, at least, is fantastic. It starts off spicy, with a huge amount of cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon, but has a fresh evergreen layer underneath. No coffee as far as I can tell. In a word, it smells like Christmas. It’s a lovely smell that is perfect for today’s first snow of the season.

What mysterious aroma and what controversial! I read all your comments and decided that something that much to talk about, worth having. And I bought it.
My husband has a whole line of Amen TM fragrances and I know well, in fact, sometimes also I use. I am one of those people that if something goes well I use it, whether it is for men or women. The fact is that this perfume has nothing to compare with Amen, maybe a vague memory in the first breath, but then, once the notes are based …
The magic happens. Think of a cold winter day, it’s raining outside and you’re sitting in front of the fireplace with a freshly baked lemon pie homemade, a great cup of coffee-chocolate Juan Valdez and suddenly the door opened and a gust of wind mix all these flavors in a wonderful moment … I do not know a lot of ingredients, but this is what it means to me this beautiful fragrance.
Good sillage, and long life, beautiful bottle and package. Recommended to buy? Yes, but only if you like strong sensations and personality.

On my skin the coffee note is barely detectable, sigh. Maybe it’s just my skin chemistry. I can smell nutmeg and cardamom instead, providing a nice spicy vibe but nothing to die for. I guess this works best on my boyfriend. Again, on me it smells almost (i dare to say) banal and does not develop very much. All I get is spices and personally I am missing something soothing and balming to embrace the notes and keep everything together (maybe that was the coffee note mission and since i do not detect it i am missing a significant part of the fragrance, who knows). I leave it to my beloved boyfriend.

    Best coffee fragrance…
    certainly better than A Men.
it Opens with coffee and cinnamon.warm, spicy
becomes green and a little bit lemony. The drydown is beautiful woody and sweet.the best of the new Kilian three for me.
very rich, beautiful scent,, The coffee is the star and unique, deep, dark and rich. I could swear I get hints of rose too, but apparently there’s none in it, so it’s probably just me.
cinnamon and nutmeg are very good and lovely and remain fairly subtle.
It is a good perfume for spring, fall, winter.
    It is a unisex perfume
very rich, fairly bitter and a whole lot of coffee. It’s not something I could wearing it every day,I’m considering a full bottle.
    Scent 10/10
    Projection 9/10
    longevity 9/10
    A perfect scent from heaven

When I spray my little sample vial of Intoxicated, I think to myself, Moss Breche’s little sister.
MB being one of Tom Ford’s highly underrated and long discontinued, Private Blends, and my introduction to my love of cardamom. Being female, I don’t want to smell like either of these fragrances, but gosh I LOVE to just sniff them every now and then.
I feel it is male focused, but still unisex. I get no coffee and no chocolate. Just lots of cardamom and maybe some eucalyptus??
I also think of Serge Lutens’ Chergui when I wear or sniff this, (if you like one, you’ll like the other) and see this perfume as the color ‘green’. If it were a fabric, it would be flax or canvas.
All in all, its nice enough sure, but not my fave from the black bottled collection from By Kilian

at the beginning the notes will be strong then it will disappear for a few minutes after that the best smell will come.
( intoxicated ) one of the best coffee perfume.

  40. :

    3 out of 5

The opening notes are strong and off-putting, and distinctly after-shave like. It’s a little bit hard to define exactly what they are though. The initial vibe is masculine.
I went into this knowing exactly nothing about this specific scent (although I am pretty familiar with By Kilian as a house) and was mildly horrified at the first sharp blast, which smelled largely synthetic and fairly unapproachable.
However, it mellowed quite swiftly into a smooth, sweetish musky well-integrated female fragrance with little to none of the gourmand-y notes the listed ingredients would suggest.
I get no coffee at all, and was surprised – very surprised – when I read that it was included in the listed notes.
This is a female winter scent, and while not floral, it is still sweetly feminine. Creamy, soapy, warm.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Not really a fan of this. Has a meaty spin to it, almost like sausage. I smell a blast of coffee and black pepper in the beginning and that’s about it. Longevity is minimal at about 2 hours on me and sillage is weak. Definitely not worth the price.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

Attention lovers of Bond 9 New Haarlem, Voluspa Baltic Amber, Bvlgari Omnia (the original, in the brown bottle): if you are drawn to warm, sexy, spicy fragrance then this one is for you. I find this to be extremely similar to New Haarlem but slightly more wearable. I must admit, this is one of those smells that i would prefer my home to smell like than for me to smell like. That said, if you want to smell like a sexy spicy cup of coffee then this is all you need in this life. Sillage and longevity are there – and the gorgeous by Killian packaging is a plus.

  43. :

Stunning. Mocha cake, lemonade, snow on the ground, coal fires in the winter air. Yes, there is coffee, but it’s incidental, because this stuff has taken coffee and made it into something unique, something gourmand and warm, yet cool and environmental. It is at once luxurious and at the same time, the pit head at Wearmouth Colliery with a sea fret rolling in from Norway. I love cardamom when it’s done right. This is done right. Gone is the medicinal quality and in rolls Mata Hari on silent gliders. It has no tinkle whatsoever, no sharp edges, no sugar, but delicious brown spice it has aplenty. It’s Eartha Kitt on a chaise looking you in the eye, beckoning you in with a growl. This is going to break the bank for me this year along with the Chanel Coromandel I’ve got my heart set on.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

A whole bunch of people said this smells like A*Man…
Strongly disagree:) and here are my reasons:
1.To compare A*Man series with Intoxicated, I’ve tested A*Man(Original), A*Man Gold, A*Man Pure Malt, A*Man Pure Coffee, A*Man Pure Havane, A*Man Les Parfum de Cuir…and my conclusion is, no one is exactly the same with Intoxicated. The only comparable one is Pure Malt, which has the slight creamy side of Intoxicated, but A*Man?Not at all.The whole A*Man collection has a candy-like sweet/gourmand atmosphere, I can sense the caramel note in many of this collection.
2.By Kilian’s Intoxicated, however, seems to deliberately avoid being too sweet. The coffee note in the beginning is dry and a bit spicy, it falls on the masculine side completely.I tested this on both my skin and my pillow, the coffee note is even more “straightforward” and pure on my pillow.
In general, though it is still incomprehensibly pricey, there is no denying that it has the uniqueness(unlike Creed’s Himalaya which copied the tedious male designer fragrances’ structure and sell it for $300).

  45. :

    4 out of 5

I wouldn’t say this fragrance is coffee-centric. Sure, coffee is there, but it’s more about cardamom and nutmeg – lots of nutmeg, slightly roasted. I can also smell something chocolate, but it’s not sweet or blatantly gourmand. The drydown is a subtly sweet, honeyed tobacco with a hint of spice. Some aspects of Intoxicated remind me a bit of Chergui by Serge Lutens, but I think the latter is more expertly put together. I love cardamom, so overall I feel positive towards this fragrance, but I don’t think it justifies the price tag.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

I don’t smell much “actual” coffee (maybe people just perceive it as such), instead it packed noticeable amount of cardamon in the opening and a vague doughy semisweet dry down. Although the fragrance is deliciously pleasant, it’s just another “nice” fragrance that’s not really worth the price (unless you buy the refill for $100 less); barely a step up from A*Man (but at the same level as Pure Coffee)… I prefer Voyage d’Hermes Parfum for an interesting cardamon scent.

  47. :

Intoxicated is another excellent entry from By Kilian. I get a gently spiced chocolate with a light sweetness. The coffee note makes the chocolate less obvious and less linear. I understand the comparison to AMEN but this is so much more refined. If Amen is Britney Spears then Intoxicated is Adele.
The packaging is easily the most sturdy and weighted case I’ve ever seen. They could chop $50-75 off the price tag by selling the bottle alone in a box. Once you have this exquisite presentation box and bottle, refills are far less pricey. The comparison to AMEN gives it a bad rap, but honestly, how many people flip over that Frag? The fact that this shares some similarities to a widely regarded and loved fragrance isn’t a bad thing if it also distinguishes itself. It’s rich and warm and deliscious without the overpowering cloud associated with the less expensive second cousin. I can’t wait to keep this close during the next few cold months.

By Kilian’s Intoxicated had been well-received so I’d been eager to try it but upon first smell, the similarities to A*Men and some of its flankers (Malt, Coffee) are almost far too noteworthy to give it much merit for uniqueness. It smells great, and the coffee base gives it a slightly different finish from the patchouli/coffee combination that is present in the A*Men line. It’s unoffensive, its booziness and coffee aspects not likely to be unappealing even to those who are not fans of either accords. It’s well-rounded–the opening not too harsh, the base not too dull–a little evolution.
However, at several times the price of the A*Men fragrances ($50 for 270ml of Intoxicated vs. under $100 for 100ml of A*Mens), it’s difficult to imagine why anyone would contemplate buying this over one of those. Intoxicated is not particularly stronger in projection or longevity, nor does it ring more sophisticated. It’s a great scent but would its prospects are limited in a world in which the A*Men line already exists.

Intoxicated is an excellent work by Kilian I also love the winter fragrance since its steamy, smoky halo envelops you like a warm coat.
Open as a kind of cross between Dior Homme and Mugler A Men, which can lead to disputes and debates, but they are fragrances that have nothing to do. Intoxicated entity has sufficient quality to be a unique and very special work.
It was not until the spectacular drying, for there its amazing smoky character as if it were a hot drink, a kind of mixture of coffee with sweet spices that could be confused with a spicy chocolate.
That smoky-sweet nature and projected drying lasts for hours phenomenal, with a quality beyond excellent components.
The fragrance is more complex than it at first seems and it takes a little time to develop, but worth the wait, is truly special and mostly very addictive.

Okay so I just received some samples from the Kilian boutique. Intoxicated was one of them. On first spray I kept asking myself, what does this remind me of? Then it hits me Pure Malt by Thierry Mugler. So, for the price point, I would rather go with Pure Malt.

Not getting some of the comparisons here. None of the mugler appear to have the cardamon which for me is the dominant note.
I retied my sample of the mugler malt and found the same thing. The malt in the mugler is strong and great but gives it a pleasant sharpness i dont find in the kilian. Saying that i dont get much coffee in either .lol. The cardomon is the note that attracted me to this fume and is warmly enveloping. I agree that this one is pricey and like the mugler and their better price point. But this is still pretty special to me.

Not as milky as I would’ve liked. It’s a bit sharp, not very warm. With a coffee scent one would expect a little bit of latte-like warmth and creaminess. Montale Intense Cafe is warmer and sweeter.

Intoxicated is the best perfume out of the smoke line. Intoxicated has nothing to do with smoke or smoking. It´s a sweet, almost gourmand like fragrance. I wouldn´t compare A*Men with Intoxicated. It smells like Pure Coffee.
The smell is feminine, soft and slightly warm.

Think A*Men without the tar and rough edges and you’ll be fairly close here. The notes seem to be easier to detect and enjoy as well, and this is clearly in unisex territory. I like this better than others of this type, including New Haarlem.
