yup, rubber tyres.
and by that, i mean BRAND NEW rubber tyres, like, not used or driven with. they have that rubber smell as well as that ‘new’ smell to them.
there is a slight ‘hinoki’ dry woodsy smell, as well. or a japanese conifer — the type they use in outdoor onsen / rotenburo, i don’t really know what they’re called etc.
it’s an odd combo. new rubber tyres and heated onsen wood. different.

Weird scent. Smells like old stuffy book, sofa, or old people’s rotten house. A bit sugary, musty perfume. Somehow nostalgic, but also irritating; I had to wash it off actually.

The note isn’t listed here but the combination of ingredients present in the immediate opening combine to create the most uncannily realistic, fresh impression of ginger you’ll ever encounter in a perfume. It quickly turns to rubber tires after that, but those first fifteen seconds are astounding.

An exceptionally uncommon and mysterious perfume this new entry is a subtle mystical beauty which combines notes of clove, incense, amyris, and a bit of oud to create a subtle, sparkling and spicy scent that is an ode to the drawing ink that has its roots in Japan. A more refined and elegant version of Encre Noire, without the sweet vetiver notes, this is a real must try for lovers of unusual and mysterious perfumes. All natural with moderate sillage and projection, this is a beautiful composition with alternating shades of light and dark.
