Description

“This darkly divine perfumed-potion strikes a soothing yet arresting beat on the skin. In a synchronised hurtle, blackcurrant, mint and spices instantly entice the senses. Though magnificently luring with a bright, engaging temperament, ‘Incantation‘ has a deep inky edge that should come with a warning – don’t lie on the verdurous grass in delicious slumber, no matter how enticing, for something strange approaches through the golden pollen’s stirring.

Drawn deeper down trailing vines of fruity-bitter-green, aroused by the pulse of life and concealed magic beyond, be tempted through a voluminous foliage façade. Fresh, lush fig-leaf-fans ignite the air with scented swathes of rich black fruits that boldly incite exhilaration. Succeeding the heady rush comes the soft embrace of otherworldly rose as if blooming and swaying on earthy forest floor. Senses are beholden to this beautific floral rite as regal flowers sway amidst roots of ancient trees, in a spellbinding dance known only to themselves. Suspended on spice and volcanic vetiver, this silk and sylvan aroma aims to fluctuate and tease.

Follow this fragrant enchantress to a place of closely guarded secrets and succumb to the call of this aromatic adornment” — press release of the brand. Incantation was launched in 2013.

this does not smell floral or oriental on me at all…it is very green and more FIG LEAF than FIG the fruit. I find it is leaning masculine. Don’t really detect much fruitiness or sweetness to it as the notes would prompt?

Why do I smell neroli and aldehydes? Two of my pet peeve notes..Based on the notes here I thought I would love this. But I’m getting no fig or honey or any of the notes really. I get an herbal green vintage feel instead of a sweet fruity woodsy scent. Dissapointed. Thankfully I only have samples…

I can’t believe what people have picked as notes. This is a top of a fleeting citrus then all vetiver. It is one of the most lovely vetiver scents I’ve sniffed.

I’ll be blunt since fig is one of the those notes that I passionately hate when used in fragrance. I have smelled dozens (literally) of fig fragrances and, to date, have found only one (1) that I liked, Montale Oudmazing. While I cannot say Incantation was a passionate like, I did not dislike it and actually found to be an interesting scent that I wouldn’t object to others wearing…so it must be a good quality fragrance for all the fig lovers out there.
Incantation performs well in that it lasts 6-7 hours on projects moderately on my skin. I am a fan of Rouge Bunny Rouge and own Embers, Tundra and may pickup a bottle of Silhouette sometime down the road, so this one is also a quality composition regardless if you like fig or not. Overall, I’m giving this one a like.

This is *divine*. Thanks Bunny! I’m hopping around with joy. 🙂
It’s so refreshing– both literally & figuratively — to see a Fig+Rose combo, in a world full of Fig+Coconut. Incantation enchants with fresh green fig, neither candied nor dried. This is a masculine take on the fruit like Jardin Mediterranee; and less creamy-lactonic than Body Shop or Philosykos. I also find it more rich and full-bodied than Ava Luxe Fig Leaf / Figuer.
Lesson learned: When in search of good fruit, ask the Rabbit.

Being a fan of Philosykos, I blind bought Incantation hoping it would resemble one of my favorite fig scents. In actuality, this smells nothing like the Diptyques offering. This is a stronger version of Miller et Bertaux Green green green and green which opens with icy head jerking citruses spiked with a tasty dose of black current buds. For me, the fig was shy and doesn’t have the milky presence I was expecting here but it does make good on its promise to deliver the green side of the ingredient. Cedar and vetiver is one of those ingredients that evoke seriousness and maturity. Although the aforementioned notes are noticeable, the composition is everything but serious and undoubtedly encompasses the high spirited and perky nature of girlhood. Smells like the outdoors…Complex but somewhat safe.

I have been testing this for a couple of days, It is lovely, the fig is not too loud. It is very green, spring-like, with a musky trail. I don’t pick up the cardamon at all, which is sad. I am not sure if it is full bottle worthy, but I am enjoying it.

I only sniffed this from a paper blotter. As I can tell is very intoxicating savory floral sister to Hermes latest launch – Jour d’Hermes. Very complex, yet easy to wear rich, mouthwatering scent. Perfect for summer, spring, lately I spot a trend – citrusy florals and I like them. I think it’s worth a try, don’t miss it.
