Rose en Bos’s Imithi is wonderful.
I’m not into overpowering hugely sweet vanilla perfumes. This has been done perfectly!
Rose en Bos have mastered the art of blending their fragrances. Once the perfume settles there are no harsh notes or ones that overpower the others, all are discernable and beautifully complement the others. There is a bit of movement between which are dominant notes at different times but never where they aren’t discernable.
The lavender is so natural and beautiful, it is the first time I have really enjoyed it in a perfume. The woods are amazingly real, the patchouli absolutely gorgeous and in no way overpowering and the vanilla one of the best I have ever smelled in a perfume. The vanilla is probably the dominant note to me but it isn’t overpowering and is just so beautiful I could almost cry.
I love how Imithi takes me for a walk in the woods! I just love it, I can smell the forest – the trees, the leaves, the lavender and a hint of the earth as I walk, with the vanilla seeming to pull it all together seamlessly. I am transported away to the Knysna Forest or the Kisternbosch Gardens. Thank you Rose en Bos!
