One of the first colognes I bought in 2000. I liked it, and thought it was unique. It was summertime and it fit me well. Woody and Fruity but blended so well, it just works. That said, by today’s standards it’s probably now a bit bland, but at the time it was less so. My ex girlfriend loved it on me. Very versatile as smells fresh.

This was my first fragrance purchase, back in 2000.
I absolutely loved it and restocked.
Though I can only recollect its fruity aspects, I can remember how classy I felt wearing it.
I almost forgot about it, until I recently remembered that unique, classic spray latch.
Such a shame it’s discontinued, though still available online.
I’ve since subconsciously continued to love Cerruti fragrances, one of my favorites.

A great classic of the 90’s. This beautiful summer fragrance was an upbeat fragrance with an energetic top note thanks to banana leaves from Costa Rica, Williams pear and black pepper. The sparkling heart note of Atlantic cypress, fig leaf and tender jasmine arouses strong emotions. The background consists of Haitian vetiver, musk and amber. A perfume that brings me very far back in the university days and that evokes me beautiful memories. Unfortunately it is now discontinued and the last one I bought on eBay was only a shadow of what it was formerly. This fragrance is one of the legendary scents of my youth that I miss and that I would like to find available.

This was my signature scent for pretty much an entire decade– 2003-2013. It just had something– fig done right. It smells reminiscent somehow of a sportier Asprey Purple Water, very light but noticeable to people who are into you. Went through several bottles (the bottle!) until the last, and it wasn’t the same. Either I got an off bottle, or my nose had changed, or my taste had changed, but all I got was one-dimensional juicy fruit.

i love this fragrance always have but i cannot believe that it has no coconut in it because to me thats what always jumps out at me with each wearing but all in all i think its one of cerruti’s best offerings and is in no way dated i would recommend this to anyone who loves a tropical vibe from there fragrances. 8/10

I have been using Cerruti Image ever since it was introduced. I find it to be a very light and fresh fragrance. It is a very nice summer scent and very safe for the office. It lasts longer on clothes than on the skin. The pear, banana leaf and plumb give this fragrance a very fruity feel at first. Then it blends with the jasmine and musk and wow. The bottle is beautiful and the price even better.

The opening of Image greets us with a very natural smelling pear note and nuance of black licorice. It’s sweet, juicy, and fresh!
However, the opening quickly gives way to fresh and sweet soap accord that lasts until the fragrance fades 6-8 hours later.
A great cheapie for someone starting out and looking for a very unique fresh cologne. A thumbs up cuz it’s not harshly synthetic or cloying.

I like the fragrance when I put my nose on the bottle but on my body it becomes absolutely unnoticeable. I’ve heard others use the term “invisible” for fragrances and that is what it is for me. I honestly wish it wasn’t because it smells nice.

Barolo is right, this very closely mimics Johnson & Johnson “No More Tears” baby shampoo. Definitely a unique and long lasting “freshie” scent. I got surprisingly good sillage as well….had a compliment from a lady walking about 20ft behind me(with only 3 sprays)
Nice enough scent, but I got bored with it quickly. I liked the Harmony flanker a bit better than the original to be honest.

Once of those “fresh” colognes that has bite. Too much bite in my opinion. A little too harsh and too metallic for my taste. One can easily over due this one, not for trigger happy application. It reminds me of Burberry Touch in a way, a fragrance I never liked either. I received this as gift, and I gave it a serious try…just couldn’t get used to wearing it. I gave it away. Pass.

my absolute favourite fragrance on my husband. he wore this when we were first together and I still love it 15 years on. its fresh and melony and absolutely delicious

Very fruity fragrance yet woody , sweet yet strong woody smell of pear, banana leaf and cypress background .
It is a very good smell of spring and summer different than others . It’s like a Acqua di Gio fruity , sweet and soft.
It has a very modest sillage ( the bad of this perfume) but its duration is good . When dried reminds me of the smell of chamomile infusion .
Despite being soft and sweet, it is quite masculine.
    Sillage 5/10 , duración7 / 10. Global 7/10 .
( The good thing about this perfume is that it is uncommon among people )

Not fond of this. Starts out with a quite nice zingy green smell. A little bit like Paco XS. Then it mellows out into pear. Boring sums this up.

I’ve always been a huge fan of 1881 from Cerruti, A fragrance which signifies a bygone era of 80’s and 90’s fragrances that have stood the test of time.
Odd then that this one should pass me by, sure I was aware of it and I don’t doubt I may have even tried it over the course of the last 17 years. The fact that I can’t remember doesn’t usually speak to the quality of a fragrance but worth an up to date review I thought.
Now, every bargain bucket in the land carries this fragrance at the moment it would seem so you can pick it up for next to nothing…and is it worth it? Absolutely!
I’d describe this as a vague take on an aromatic Fougere type fragrance despite the description here. I think it’s a very two dimensional scent in that it has top notes of fruity pear/apple then something which to me resembles a gentle accord of lavender/vanilla and musk.(hence my Fougere description.)
Now lavender and vanilla are not in the note breakdown and I suspect it’s the creamy sandalwood/white musk combo which is giving that effect. When I say ‘vanilla’ it’s not typically sweet but slightly herbal, I don’t know what banana leaves smell like? They could be a factor here as this is very very slightly reminiscent of Amouage Reflection which on occasion has a faint banana smell to it.
Generally Image is soapy fresh…a pleasant thing but somehow indistinct and wishy washy.
Lasts very well indeed for such a slight fragrance I got several hours out of it and silage is very soft after the first hour.
Image is decidedly bland and generic then but not in the way many modern fragrances are, awful synthetics, aquatic accords or ‘phoned in’ chemical warmth.
Image ain’t bad…but no matter how cheap it is, I’m going to be more selective.

Cerruti Image… A summer fragrance – but, before you know it, (this) “summer” (fragrance) is over…
Yesterday, I wore and wrote a review on Image’s younger sibling, Cerruti Pour Homme. Today, Image was next in my rotation of “fragrance of the day”… Image is a very pleasant scent that is fresh, clean, and a blend of fruit and floral notes. Image is easy on the nose and offers great day and Summer flexibility/versatility without being overbearing or offensive to some. It is that “fresh showered” scent that is safe for the office… I will add that given the fruity and floral notes, while masculine, this fragrance could easily be worn (and worn with confidence) by females. Now the rest of the story… Image projects well during the first hour and then settles close to the skin. With my “body chemistry”, following four hours of wear in an office-type setting, the fragrance/scent is hardly noticeable. Pity – out of the bottle it is a good fragrance.
While no compliments have been received, I will add that during that first hour of wear, the “Wow Factor” could appear. This fragrance is readily available on line at moderate pricing. The bottling and packaging are first class with the nozzle adding a great touch of character to the fragrance. (kudos on the nozzle).
A final tally of Image is 3.8 stars out of 5 stars. If the longevity and projection/sillage were greater, a much higher evaluation would be warranted. For the collector, someone like me who is borderline OCD (ok – yes, I am OCD about certain things), add Image to your collection. The “price is right” and I love the scent and nozzle. For the person seeking a quality summer fragrance, maybe pass – there are more fragrances out there that last longer.
The daily I.M. – “Dream BIG and Dream OFTEN – you may not capture all your dreams, but be glad/happy that you had/have dreams..”

I found Cerruti Image as one of those scents perfect for work setting: clean and fresh with a quiet projection. On my skin, it didn’t last as long, but I had no problems reapplying mid-day as the scent is inoffensive. The scent is a little fruity and a little sweet, but manly. The lever sprayer is a nice feature – adds character to the bottle.
Cerruti Image is a very good fragrance if you are looking for a safe scent for warmer season.

smells good but lasts less, prefare 1881 cerruti man, the bomb

It’s very fresh and gentle! Perfect for hot days during the summer. I think it’s quite long lasting +7h on my skin BUT after 1-2 hours projection is VERY soft, so maybe this is the reason why loads of people don’t like Cerruti Image.

Only review that is close to reality is the previous one. I was misleaded by so many good comments! I don’t understand where is the fruity and woody and sweet and musky scent… Citrusy maybe but that’s all.

Truly vile. Cheap Hair Oil as the predominant note, and, unfortunately, one that lingers for ever. Underneath is a very synthetic smell with little else to lighten it. I can detect absolutely nothing of the fruit or anything else in this scent, I wore it once, luckily I purchased a miniature, and promptly gave it to a Charity Shop.
The ghastly scent lasted all day, wouldn’t you know! UGH!

great, great, great cologne. love at the first sniff!
Osmoz family is Aromatic Rustic, going to explore more when I’ll splash it on me tonight!
Rustic could be referred to, because it is slightly metallic (out of green). On skin, it smells quiet, green musky and soft. For some day you don’t want to be agrresive at all and doesn’t want others’ attention.

This fragrance is magnificent, beautiful. Fruity and fresh, I love it… But, pity, its longevity is ridiculous, 4h hours after, you have to renew it 🙁
EDIT : I retry it for the second time. Indeed, if you pschit it loudly or on clothes, it has a pretty honest longevity ! (fortunatly, it costs very cheap ^^’)

This scent is for those that really love soapy scents. Image is a delicious soapy fragrance, elegant, linear, simple and relaxing. Not overpowering and not sweet. Longevity is ok, sillage isn’t huge. Gives the idea of a man that has just taken a shower with a very special soap.

I was very randomly given a bottle of this for Christmas, as i’ve not worn it since the late 90s. It is exactly as I remember it, very fresh and bright opening. I have to be honest having read some of the other reviews I have to completely disagree with this fragrance being called ‘spicy’ for me nothing could be further from the truth, it is ultra fruity. Very Fresh, I get a note of grapefruit. I look forward to the Summer when i get out of the shower and use it, not remarkable but very nice.

EDT: The opening is a bright and clean citrus to me, so imagine my surprise when I looked at the list of notes and finding fruits instead. Though I did think it was a more pleasing citrus than many other ones, so perhaps it is because the fruit notes sweetened the otherwise abrasiveness of actual citrus. It then calms into a mellow woody fragrance with sweet undertones. Sometimes Guaiac notes sticks out too much for me when used in fragrances, but here, it blends in just fine. All the while, there is that aroma that is ever present in men’s perfume…I’m guessing it’s the musk. For such a “light” fragrance, it lasts a bit longer than I would expect….it’s been on my arm for a few hours so far…but it’s late and I really need to go to sleep.
As a woman, I generally do not like these type of clean and fresh scents for myself, but this one I would find reasonably attractive on a man. It is not an adventurous option, but a safe one. The lever on the cap does tend to break off if you mess with it like I did.

I accidently acquired a small bottle of what was supposed to be the women’s version, but got this instead.
It’s a fresh clean and crisp citrus woody scent. Smells great on a guy but really could be worn by a woman as well. It’s comparable to CK One but stronger.
    Perfect for summer.

I like this a lot fresh, sweet, woody and soapy (Soapy drydown in a very good way) really like the pear and floral notes in it great for spring/summer longevity and projection are great 7+ hours. To summit up its a very versatile perfume.

This is my second bottle, it’s those kind of fragrances that it’s sweet but fresh, it’s funny ’cause I never thought that pear was this fresh, plum it’s helping to get the coolest in this smell, something that you wear proudly.
Thumb up on this one, get it before they discontinue it.

Absolutely outstanding! I remember not liking this when it was released about 15 years ago, but my tastes have changed since then, and now I love it!
Wonderful, wonderful spicy but soft and light scent that has many facets to enjoy while you wear it. Starts off fruity and spicy, like peaches and licorice (licorice or anise is definitely in this scent), then softens even more, developing a pale green smell, with a silky, subtle sweetness. All the spices, like pepper and coriander are handled lightly, but you know they’re there in the background. The sandalwood and guiac wood in the base give this some solidity and enhance the masculine smell.
It wasn’t particularly unique when it was released, but today it is truly a joy to wear this.
    MY RATING: 10/10

I wanted to love this, it looked so good on paper, but on me it smells as if i have spilt a Pear martini down my shirt!
The alcohol aroma is too strong and lasts hours on me. The pear note is nice and a welcome change. Its a fresh clean aroma without the usual citrus overload or smelling like fabric softener, just a shame the alcohol dominates.

  34. :

I love this scent but only when paired with Acqua di Gio. Two sprays of the Armani and one of Image makes an absolutely amazing combination. It changes the somewhat cloying scent of the Acqua into something unique that made me want to sleep wearing a t-shirt sprayed with the combo.

Smells just like Johnson and Johnson’s NO MORE TEARS Baby Shampoo.
This one will make you cry when you realize you wasted your hard earned cash to smell like a baby who doesn’t want to cry when he/she gets hair washed by mommy.
I have to just shake my head about this one having any kind of note separation at all. It’s the very definition of linear.
Now, I’m starting to believe reviews for many things I see on here are written by reviewers with a vested interest in the product.

Cerruti Image, is a very fresh scent, rather than call it fruity, almost sweet, in essence, that has water that can remember the harvest. The fruit that stands out with strength and delicacy at the same time is the pear, this fragrance is the perfect for me in the spring when the flowering trees give off those scents that are transported by the wind, but as Image capture the senses, the delicacy of envi scent is irresistible, could be counted among the classics of perfume, but it has an edge and its name is a guarantee, I am still admired since the first time I had the chance to smell it, I was transported back in time when a child on the way to school was a fruit shop, and when you I entered I felt the smell of the fruit for sale, some of those emotions is trapped or better infused into this gem …
    Cerruti Image Madeleinette like Proust?

  37. :

    4 out of 5

Crisp, bright, green, fruity, slightly sweet and transparent. It starts with pear, mint, pepper and some green notes. Then floral and fruity notes take over the construction. Base notes are made of light sandalwood, vetiver and musk. It’s incredibly nice and inoffensive. It works for me as a perfect office and spring time scent. I think it is more refined alternative to the popular mainstream aquatic/woody crowd. It attracts girls’ attention due to light, clean, refined and kind of laidback (nomen omen) image it creates. Longevity is good (6-8 h) and silage is low. The only downturn is that it sometimes gives me a migraine. Can be acquired at very low price. 7/10

This smell like an alcoholic pear/plum drink which is so refreshing and great for the summer.

  39. :

Very interesting fragrance. It starts citrusy and joyful. I couldn’t notice any fruity notes at this point, neither plum nor pear.
After maybe 15 mins on my skin it started to smell like thick marmalade, became sweeter, with notes of caramel and maybe vanille.
Now, after 2 hrs. the dryout makes me think of a precious book which has been kept in a cupboard with many marmalade jars. It has something cultured, preserved, ancient. I like it.
    Sillage and longevity are average.
I disapprove however the spray mechanism. It looks peculiar, but instead of a cone it delivers a cloud, so if you want to apply the Edt on yourself instead of the atmosphere, you have to do it close range.

Image is a very nice clean out of the shower type scent! It is crisp & beautiful for spring /summer days right after a shower! Had a change of heart, longevity is about 8 hours, altho it does seem to become faint the longer it is on your skin, but it is still there! & yes spray on alot! You wont overdue it!

I had this back in 2000 and reminded me of hitting the town with old friends. Forgot about it then Christmas 2008 was in TK Maxx and found a big bottle for £20, couldnt say no to it! Fond memories of this one!

I bought this one unsmelled as there were no testers. It is not very common here in Australia, and so when I saw it on sale I bought it. On paper the notes seem very interesting (especially the base notes). Vetiver, patchouli, cedar and sandalwood are commonly recurring notes in my favourite fragrances and they are all listed as ingredients.
From reviews I read I could see that this one might be a bit of a risky proposition: mainly in terms of its strength and longevity.
What swayed me to buy it was the bottle:
it is a work of art. The lever dispenses the fluid really well. The fluid itself is crisp and green and opens with mint, pepper and fruit notes. They are all so subtle that it is hard to pick out too many individual notes.
This is sharper than the majority of fresh fragrances I have experienced, yet at the same time manages to be relatively unobtrusive.
I read a reviewer somewhere say words to the effect that it is impossible to overapply this fragrance. This is pretty much true.
The woody notes like the other notes are subtle and never really exert their own individual characters, but work quietly in the background.
After half an hour or so, there is a similarity with Bulgai pour Homme: it is one of those fragrances that are almost not there, but which still exert enough character for other people to detect them on you. I much prefer this one to Bulgari.
Longevity is an issue for me: It lasts for less than 3 hours.
This is an interesting addition to my collection and definitely has a unique place. I just need to make sure I have it handy to re-apply. Often. The sprayer mechanism is too much fun. You know what they say small things amuse small minds.

    Remember the Meaow Mix commercial???
    Apply that tune:
    Bland, bland,
    Bland, bland,
    Bland,
    Bland, bland,
    Bland,
    get my drift?
Don’t get me wrong, I do not dislike it, just too bland, but that can be good, perfect for the office, if you must commute in a crowded intercity bus o metro, for a job interview, etc.

I can’t tell how insane I am to smell this perfume again!I remember about 8 years ago, when it was just launched I found it easily in stores and I was crazy about it as one of the rare male perfumes that I loved, but now I don’t find it in any store where I live.I even don’t remember exactly how it smelled.I just remember that it was incredible.the interesting point for me is that the designer(Nose Ursula) is the nose behind hugo boss, hugo(f) which is another my favorite perfume of all the times too.
