I think Fio Cloudy Violet is a strange concoction. The opening is what makes it strange. The combination of top notes just doesn’t seem right. It’s like citrus fruits and basil don’t mix. The opening makes me crinkle my nose, but the opening also makes me curious. The combination of top notes is, to me, quite unusual. As much as I find the opening strange, I find the drydown quite nice. When the notes in the heart and base come out to play, the fragrance really grows on me. On a scale from 1 to 5 where 5 is best, I would rate the perfume like this:
Based on the opening: 2/5
Based on the drydown: 4/5
So in total, this is a like for me.
Regarding the price: I paid approx. 10 Euros for my 20ml bottle. I was surprised to see how small the actual bottle was (the bottles displayed for testing were bigger and in a totally different shape). However, when calculating the price for 1 litre, the price is not that bad at all. I can easily find perfumes that are more expensive than Cloudy Violet.

This is great deep fragance, but…very small bottle for the price…
