Strangely though the fragrance is quiet woody and incense like I happen to love this impulse spray,it reminds me of the 90s for some reason but for a body spray it also has good strength and staying power, one of my favourite impulse scents.

Merely Musk, Insense and Into Glamour are too pungent and cloying.
The rest are typically fruity floral.
Illusions, however, manages to balance – not too heavy, not too sweet. It’s fragrance is complex and brings out so much depth. Smells alot better than most designer fragrances.
Worn best during the cooler months or at night – when the magic really happens.

Illusions is a quite unforgettable, nearly-commercial-perfume-strength Impulse spray. It is sweet in a nice well blended amber-y way. I can’t really smell the rose, but there’s for sure something floral there to soften the scent; I can’t detect any musk, but the scent has some depth, I guess it must be due to the musk. It is lovely to wear if applied with a light hand. I find it rather popular among girls who wants something more than your average fresh sparkling fruity florals.
However, Illusions sometimes can be extremely cloying and the monster sillage can make it rather annoying for daytime. Nevertheless, it shines at night. It actually doesn’t smell cheap or headache inducingly plastic in comparison with some overrated commercial or celebrity perfumes.
Good job Impulse!
