The scent Humor da Minha Vida was released in August of 2016, while Natura presented the entire Humor line with new packaging and names, keeping the fragrances unchanged. The concept of the campaign was to spread the humor through phrases and fun videos.
The fragrance of Humor da Minha Vida is described as a candied and crisp Apple, with citrus pinches and bubbling spices and sensual background of amber and vanilla. But what are these citrus fruits? What were the spices used in the composition? Well, we know that Natura doesn’t usually list the ingredients of its creations, but I got a little more details about the composition: bergamot, Red Apple and pink pepper, in the head; Freesia, Lily of the Valley and rose, in the body; sandalwood, amber and vanilla, in the base.
The result is floral and sensual, with a few fruity and sweet nuances, which usually cheer the Brazilian youngsters (everything to do with the concept). But only the young women? No, because perfume is ageless! But is easy to notice the company’s approach and, most importantly, the smell of this fragrance for this matter.
When it comes to skin, it seems that the Apple was caramelized and dipped in a vanilla sauce. Luckily, the bergamot cut the sweetness (which could become very cloying), balancing the fragrance and introducing a light floral accord. The Freesia is known for its mild and bright aroma, but can also introduce fruity facets, while the muguet (Lily of the Valley) can be green and reminding jasmine. Although the Sandalwood is not addressed in the official description, I feel the constant presence of this wood, almost milky, during the evolution.
Natura Humor da Minha Vida has good projection and loses strength slowly and gradually, which means it doesn’t vanish in an instant. In terms of durability, during all the tests I conducted for this review, it was possible to feel the fragrance, effortlessly, even after 7 hours of application. The only issue is the care with the heat, because it gets better in mild temperatures.
And it is worth to mention the bottle, which is much more beautiful up close than in the pictures of the campaign. Its glass has good transparency and the color is blue-green, which cheats a little, because it makes it seem that stores a refreshing fragrance.
