I’m a woman but used to wear this in fall and winter, and like many other older YR fragrances I always got lots of compliments on it and enjoyed it myself all day. The last shipment I got was off from the usual scent, as was the feminine counterpart Desir de Nature I usually wore in summer. Then DDN was abruptly discontinued. Lately even on the rare occasion that I like a scent they introduce, it’s either immediately discontinued or I find it’s quite expensive (more than YR used to be) but doesn’t last long or throw far,and I rarely get compliments on the newer scents. The exception was Very sad that a once great, underrated perfume house has started turning out such meh designs at jacked up prices.

Unisex cucumber bomb. This is very green, aquatic, cool herbal with a hint of spice and lime. Iwould say other than cucumber this has other green vegatables like green pepper, celery salt and peppery watercress.
Cool herbs and spice blend include: dill, taragon and black pepper but no mint. I get a slight floral jasmin hint but would not describe this as a floral by aby means.
Starts to turn slightly sweet and crisp like a fresh fragrant starfruit and cucumber salad. But stays predominatly fresh aquatic vegetal green throughout the 5 hours wear

My girlfriend loves this, she is always sniffing this on me. Many girls have complimented this smell on me. I think you should buy this one. This is my signature now.

This is such a lovely green, natural garden-green, trees and all the things growing in nature green fresh refreshing perfume!! I love it!! You feel as if you’re in the forest, with everything wet and sparkling after rain, and the sun’s coming through the trees, dappling everything with a soft translucent light, and the smells!! So fresh and crisp and minty, and wet, and just so alive and fragrant!! It’s absolutely lovely!!! So very natural smelling, and the bottle and colour are a perfect reflection of it. I’m a woman, I wear it and I adore it!!! And it smells gorgeous on my husband too!

This smells like dirt on my skin, an earthy green dirt. And not in an interesting way, more of a headache-inducing way.
On the other hand, I gave this to my girlfriend because on her it smells like minty cucumbers, much lighter than on me, and not dirty at all. I guess it really performs differently depending on skin chemistry because I hate it on me, but love it on her

Was it an attempt to Yves Rocher to create a refreshing fragrance for the guys, but I’m sorry to say that this Homme Nature weighed both hand in refreshing the poor thing did not work very well, no, he volatilize before it dries on the skin unfortunately. It is sensible, a delight to be in the first seconds, passing a feeling of comfort, man bathing and knows how to rub the point even without wearing perfume can exhale a pleasant smell of skin. So refreshing the cucumber for its withdrawal, balanced with a citrus light transmitting immediate calm, reminding some old colonies of supermarket shelves used by our grandparents who just feel them each and every problem of the day was immediately forgotten. Then he becomes a Hortelãzinha juice well diluted which is giving pain, is through male with a zest of oak moss and disappears absolutely no say goodbye. I tried it in the heat and cold, and their reactions were almost the same. It would be a great option for the warmer days if you had a little more Linalool in its composition, but not everything is perfect, right ?! I believe that even in punishing you sprayed, whatever, weighing your finger for a day in the spray he did not ascend more than usual, maybe if you spray it in the mouth, the ear, in the eye and is … I better stop here, but I will talk about indecent holes! Ahahahaha …
Word of the day: volatile… (day 57)

Another favorite YR scent that has been discontinued. I get tons of compliments on it and many are surprised it’s a men’s fragrance as it smells sweet with my chemistry. They really don’t carry anything I’m interested in anymore and don’t make their new fragrances available in sample size bottles. Very few of the new fragrances are anywhere near as great as the older ones in the catalog. Really a bummer. This used to be my favorite source for perfumes.

A green , natural and masculine scent without being macho . I like a lot. Longevity 5 hours , sillage moderate.

Drydown reminds me of Irish Spring without the soapiness… quite enjoyable.

This is for me totally unissex. It has that “leafy” vibe that we see in many perfumes labeled for men, but it’s also spicy and cozy, a twist that makes me think that many women would like it.
The start is green and fresh from the cucumber / bergamot / mint mix, and soon after the ivy makes an entrance, and what an entrance! That’s the best part of the scent for me, when the freshness is face to face with the spicy facet of the ivy, that reminds me of cardamom.
From then on, all I get is a feeling of walking on freshly dew-covered grass, or on a forest right after the rain. The scent is so natural and green, not harsh, but cozy. It makes me want to sniff it all day long, but… after 1 hour on my skin, it’s almost gone! On my clothes, thankfully, it lasted for hours.

Was stressing about what to get for a male friend of mine I know little about save his favourite colour (green) and that he loves nature.
Took a whiff of this scent and suddenly there was foliage everywhere, was immediately transported to a lush forest with sunlight trickling through translucent leaves. It’s green and crisp, with subtle hints of verdant citrus peels and mint. Very well blended and remarkably complex and natural, you can smell leaves, earth, tree bark and early morning light.
Bought this on the spot, hope he likes it. 🙂

It is unbelievable how this perfume is designed. In regard to the price it is great. It contains 80 % natural ingredients.
It is fresh and natural and gives you the feeling your into nature itself. It is better than most of the expensive popular modern perfumes.
It last long enough to experience all the phases from top to base. It is a nice and elegant scent. At the end the sage and the sandalwood dominate with the typical earth scent of oak-moss. And it depends on your skin of course and the weather if it is strong or subtle.

Very pleasant and uplifting everyday herbal fragrance. It’s soft and mild, for a wide age range. I was about purchasing it for myself, but its endnotes were a bit too heavy for me, though still enjoyable 🙂 It inspires thoughts of moving away from the city. Good choice for sunny seasons.

I understand well the philosophy behind making such products, especially from Yves Rocher.. Here’s the intentions : a green, light, natural and charming scent that makes you smell like you were lying on fresh grass for hours.. But.. here’s the actual result : a volatile, uncatchable, unpersonal and transparent scent that makes you smell like minty air freshner… A ghost of the scent rather than the scent itself.. Just an intention..

To me this fragrance was really a surpise looking at the quality to price ratio!
Got this almost for free in the Yves Rocher Shop (€8 or something like that for 50ml) here in NL.
Made out of mainly natural ingredients, this fragrance smells really green, little herbal and fresh!
A clean green woody herbal indeed as one calls it that starts with a cucumber like smell that is surrounded quickly by mainly sage, mint and ivy. The base of moss and sandalwood makes it smell masculine and like you walk in a forrest with a fresh but mossy like smell with a little herbal sweetness to it! Very natural and green indeed! It is not unisex to me, lasts about 5 hours adn sillage is average. Best to be used in the summer but can also easily be used during spring and fall! Thumbs up for this good stuff! Rated: 8/10

What a wonderful scent. The woods. Fresh trees and moss… but with a tinge of sweetness. Pretty strong initial sting (but nice) and dries down quickly into a very subtle, nice flavor of forest goodness.
It doesn’t project a great deal, but that’s what is nice about this one. It doesn’t demand to be noticed, but is such a pleasant sensation for those who come in close…
    🙂

Another classic YR scent that draws a lot of compliments. It’s more masculine when first applied but quickly matures to a clean, woody herbal that is appropriate for women as well.

I was on ebay late one night and chanced upon this with no bids with 1 minute to go…starting price £0.99. Any way i won it and assumed that i would sniff and put it in my ever growing ‘won it,smelt it, forget it’ collection. How wrong i was. I love it.
It is a lot lighter than i was anticipating and i also imagined it to be more autumnal than it is. In fact it is very summery in a very green way. The only way to describe it is to imagine wearing issey miyake on a hot summers day and then laying on warm grass. The scent is very natural as you would imagine and a very pleasant surprise.

This company is earth friendly, naturally based and used to be priced so everyone could afford it. Lately it has become a bit more high end but still has great sales every month. They are out of La Gacilly France but distribute worldwide and have a warehouse in NY state and phone center in Longuail Quebec in Canada…
    Third time is a charm…
This fragrance is one of the greenest I have ever smelled and is not a fake green but a wonderful medley of natural notes and ingredients. It begins with bittersweet bergamot and cool watery cucumber for a clean fresh initial blast. This continues on into a heart composed of a strong mint note(spearmint not peppermint or wintergreen) and ivy. (Imagine valerian only toned down a bit and smoother) The base finishes with the most amazing-smelling moss combined with sage and a light warm sandalwood, not incensy just soft and slightly sweet. Think of sitting under a tree in a field in late spring with grass and plants and herbs growing all around with a hint of citrus on the breeze. Superb!
    Sillage: Above average
    Longevity: surprising for a natural
    Overall: 4.75/5
This is a mean green folks, get it before it is discontinued! (I have all three products in the line and backups) It can be worn by anyone at any time. Remember the Earth is our mother and a part of us ALL. This reminds me of the Jethro Tull song “(Walking on) Velvet Green”, it is the scent of the primordial forest to me and makes me feel one with nature; hence the name, Man (of) Nature…

Great men fragrance for hot summer days. Nature smells just like its own name – clean, fresh and woody:)

I agree that it is one of very few good YR fragrances- along with the feminine Nature. I got it for my dad when it first came out and remeber it as very fresh and green scent, so different to the “cool water’sy” types of fragrances dominating the Nineties.

A classic green-herbal scent that is different. It does evoke the scent of a forest without smelling like an urinal cake. It is not my style of cologne, but for sure as a “cult” fragrance that it is, I appreciate it.

I love the scent of this one enough that I use it for myself once in awhile. It is a masculine scent and if your man will wear a scent, this is a wonderful one to give him. It is green, fresh and masculine – like a man who has been working in alfalfa or something. Yummy!
