Description

Award winning Hungarian perfumer Viktoria Minya acquired the art of fragrance formulation in the cradle of modern perfumery, the picturesque French city of Grasse. After working for various perfume houses in the region, she decided to embrace her own talents fully through the founding of her own company and signature fragrance line, for which she cherishes the use of the finest quality ingredients and original creation techniques. As an independent artist, her creativity is not bound by any constraints; Viktoria carefully formulates her creations by following only the inspiration of her heart and deepest emotions. She currently lives and practices her art in her studio in Paris, France.

Hedonist, the first fragrance in the Viktoria Minya line, calls upon the spirit of hedonism – the art of devotion to the pleasure of the senses. Indeed, this bold creation’s aim is to provide a prolonged sense of indulgence to its wearer. The perfume is not only an enchanting olfactory experience, but an overall celebration of the infinite delight of the senses. To delight the sense of sight, this unique and heady scent is artfully presented within a beautifully crafted bottle filled with hundreds of genuine bohemian crystals that sparkle brilliantly, suspended within a divine golden liquid. To delight the sense of touch, the bottle itself is enclosed within a handmade wooden box fashioned to capture the sleek look and feel of snakeskin leather.

Designed for the woman who dares to be true to her desires, Hedonist is a rich and provocative fragrance that combines the sweetness of love with the power of lust. Lush floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom absolute flirt with the dark intensity of rum absolute and the subtle spiciness of the world’s finest woods for a scent that is as captivating as it is unforgettable.

Top notes: rum CO2, bergamot, peach

Heart notes: jasmine absolute, orange flower absolute, osmanthus absolute, tobacco

Base notes: vetyver, cedarwood, vanilla

Hedonist was launched in 2013.

To die for. I see the similarity to the One (as someone else mentioned). But Hedonist is the superior fragrance. Hedonist creates a mood. A single spray and everything kind of slows down. It is intoxicating, decadent, indulgent. Think Timothee Chalamet wielding a peach in “Call My Be Your Name”. Warm honey, boozy rum, lush peaches. Smoky tobacco is fleeting on my skin but very present on a test strip. Absolutely gorgeous scent and the bottle is exquisite too.

This is what I always wanted D&G The One and Chanel Allure EDP to be. Rich, boozy vanilla custard and peach liqueur. Excellent projection and longevity and gorgeous bottle as well. Worth the price and very elegant and sexy. It does smell a bit like Slumberhouse Kiste but it’s lighter, better, and more refined. Hedonistic indeed, a full bottle will be mine!

Im wearing this since about half an hour and now the scent settled down. Firts spray is powdery, creamy, vanilla-like with a very realistic peach, but the peach is just a hint with the other notes. I cannot detect tobacco on me at all. The peach later disappears and a nice, sweet smell stays, still fruity but not exactly peach for me. Vanila is less detectable, too. More and more reminds me of Keiko Mecheri’s Umé. I cant imagine this on a young woman, and I think its better for evening, or for nights.
Update: Later Hedonist and Umé is quite similar on my skin for my nose.
The Hedonist survived a night on my wrist, so the longevity is really good and it still smells nice and feminine. Would be perfect for my mother.

A velvet-gloved hand holding the biggest, most voluptuous peach dipped in honeyed rum. I’m discovering a love for boozy rum fragrances this year, and this one is NOT a disappointment.
This one longs to be worn with an opulent gown but can make you feel like a million bucks in cutoff jeans. Blooms in the heat – but also warm and sensual in cold weather.
I can see how it’s not for everyone but if it works on you, it REALLY works. I think the bottle design is a bit silly but if the juice inside is so good, I don’t care!

There’s nothing sinful like the name Hedonist would suggest — this scent’s all about youth, innocence, romance, and love. Claire Dane’s Juliet in her angel wing costume, reminiscing on a balcony comes to mind. Or if you’re from the millenial set, google image ‘taylor swift love story video’ for stills, and you get the idea.
No dirty notes here. Hedonist is true to the pyramid votes, with every accord behaving in its sparkling, scintillating best. Although osmanthus, rum, and peach can be whimsically short-lasting players, this one surprised me by sticking the landing. Cheers to that!

    I can’t detect the tobacco.
All I smell is n expensive flowery perfume that after 1,5 hour it started to smell like Angel TM and musk.
I smelling right now my sample and it DOE’S smell like Angel something???
I hope the friend who sent me the sample has put the right label.
    Cheerioz…

I think ‘Hedonist’ is an apt description, and this is a well thought out perfume. Lovely honey but too much tobacco for me.

This is not a real review as I didn’t really test it.SA sprayed it on my friends hand and I smelled her hand twice or three times in two hours and at that time I even didn’t know it’s notes but while smelling it I didn’t think of tobacco, even a bit.I can describe it as a year round wearable perfume(probably except too much hot summer days)both days and nights.
what I could smell the most was a honeyed floral scent with a fruity/peachy undertone rounded by Warm, creamy notes.honey isn’t listed as a note but it was the first thing came to my mind. rich, spicy almost smokey honey with a touch of boozy facets is what makes hedonist an original and impressive perfume.it seems to put together peachy florals and vanilla and give it such a glorious refinement.
I could also feel a fruity vibe in it(like a blend of peach, apricot and orange)but all in all didn’t find it overly fruity, also was sweet but not overly so.it’s feminine and also classy and ladylike but more than that sexy and memorable.it was also very familiar to my nose but not that I know a similar perfume,on the contrary,it seems to be quite unique to my nose but there was something nostalgic there but I couldn’t name what it brings to my mind.
all in all I really liked it.well not as much as 185 bucks for such a tiny bottle but I love this lines bottle so I’d love to buy it whenever I can afford.
Looking at it’s notes,I can say osmanthus, jasmine, orange flower, vanilla,a light touch of woods and peach seemed to be there.one of rare cases that peach didnt ruin a perfume for me.it also had a soft powdery quality to my nose which I find very pleasant
Don’t know about longevity but sillage seems to be good
I’ll edit after a proper test

If you want a party, naughty but still elegant fragrance, than this is a perfect choice. It makes ma think of hot summer parties and elegant evenings. Great

Rich fragrance. Opens with vanilla, rum, and wood. The peach is noticeable too, but less than the other notes. Less longevity than the Hedonist cassis. Gone after 45 mn.

  11. :

Intense, creamy, sweet scents. Something to wear on a party. It reminds me of moments when I enjoy a glass of good wine or a good tobacco from Cuba.

It is a hot perfume in a figurative and common sens of the word. Common sens meaning that this perfume makes the cold days warmer. Also it is a perfume that gives you that hedonist and also horny feeling.
The notes are quite hard for me to mention. It opens with sweet, than it moves to something less sweet when a different aroma comes up, it is a kind of rum aroma.
It gives the feeling of tasting and observing this perfume.
From this initial stage, the perfume takes you to another level of beautiful hot scents: orange, tobacco.
    Love it, adore it, unique.

  13. :

The name suits it perfect. This perfume has to be forbidden 🙂 (meaning in a naughty way). When you apply it and start to wear it, you might have those naughty, bedroom fantasies.
I feel this a true elite, top fragrance. It is hot, this perfume has managed to uplift me when the weather was cold and cloudy.

  14. :

This smells of sweet, drippy peaches that are far past their prime. So far in fact, that they are turning alcoholic. What to do with them? Well, make them into sun brewed tea of course. Add heaps of honey to mask the nasty rotten peach booze taste. And then drink that tea on a very hot, humid, sunny day while smoking a tobacco pipe. I wanted to like this, and expected to with all the rave reviews. But, I find that it makes my stomach turn.

  15. :

    4 out of 5

Hedonist, a ripe peach with rum. Sweet yet not sticky, enticing and exquisitely provocative.
The name perhaps is leading me to get all kind of naughty images, sun kissed skin, bare shoulders, summer, beach, music, cocktails and no inhibitions.
It’s a sweet perfume but it doesn’t project as heavy as Opium for example. And I guess that’s what it makes it inviting, like a bedroom door ajar, alluring and insinuating.
I’m a guy but at the moment I’m going crazy about this perfume. I find it exquisite, irresistible and oh so sexy.

This has to be in your wardrobe. The feeling what this gives is peerless. I agree it is unashamed hedonist. It pushes you to enjoy and live the moment to the fullness. The fruity and sweet aromas are sparkling out.
Have the sample, it will last long, after that bottle purchase.

Nothing special, it smells like a poor girl’s Visa by Robert Piguet although I think it is more expensive. It is nowhere near as beautiful and complex as Visa just a linear, overly sweet version of it. It’s a no from me.

  18. :

Imagine biting into a peach at its peak ripeness, where it’s so plump that just a small graze will unleash its juices. The flavor is so sweet that it tastes like honey. This is how Hedonist smells. It captures the pleasures of life. Like a bright sunny day or a cozy winter night, this perfume somehow is able to envelop you in warm memories. There’s nothing dark or dirty about it. My all time favorite perfume that embodies happiness.

  19. :

It starts quite superbly amazing as the peaches, honey dew, and the tobacco goes high in help of rum note, but after few minutes it goes Lime, and greeny, as the osmanthus and orange blossoms makes quite a disturbing mixing notes with the jasmine! as it goes a bit strangely sparkling. i gues the vetiver as well goes harsh with the cedar while no sign of tobacco in the middle or base note!
i can’t lie that slumberhouse Kiste is inspired from this one but i prefer Kiste cause to me it’s bolder, and more brave till the last drop! but also suffocating if applied more than 2 sprays.

“Hedonism is a school of thought that argues that pleasure is the primary or most important intrinsic good.In very simple terms, a hedonist strives to maximise net pleasure; pleasure minus pain”. The luxuriant bottle, with golden bohemian crytal adorned juice, appears as if an artefact from the mine of King Solomon. Indeed, Hedonist is a befitting title for this all ensnaring perfume. I really feel that if Gold had a scent: it would smell just like this. At first sniff I am captivated, Hedonist is piercingly sweet, as in perfume personality.I am now thinking of my Peaches and Cream barbie that I received for Christmas when I was 6 years old.She was dazzling, truly a sight to behold with her gorgeous gown, the fine, flowing skirt with sparkling sequined bodice, matching sheer fabric boa and peach hued heels. Osmanthus is one of my favourite notes in perfume, it’s like the bubbles in Champagne. Jasmine and Orange flower complete the floral Fantasia. Rum and Tobacco fit the persona and ideal of Hedonist superbly. The base is sophisticated vanilla. I find it hard to believe that Eve tempted Adam with an apple, it had to have been a ripe juicy peach! Now that I can believe, and believe you will too once you try Viktoria Minya’s HEDONIST.

Warm peach with a splash of lime. It’s pleasant, but I’m not in love with it.

  22. :

    3 out of 5

So delightful,. at first tobacco, then vanilla… and then I end with a sweet, near balsamic note… My second signature…

  23. :

    4 out of 5

An almost indolic over-ripe almost sparkling peach attacks my nose together with the rum with its honey like facets, marrying well with the tobacco which isn’t very intense but giving it a little deeper and richer smell. Overall, a stale peach-ice tea with nauseating honey and rum. I respect all tastes, but this is truly offensive on me.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

This opens the way a Mint Julep smells (in my imagination) and closes the way our local orange blossom honey smells. It develops a slightly fermented note, which is probably the rum talking. Combined with the peaches and orange blossom, I’m sure that’s the cause of my honey association.
I don’t know about it being hedonistic, but if you could bottle a classic Georgia Peach, one of those ladies with steel in their core, a lilt in their voice and a twinkle in their eye, I’m sure this would be the fragrance.
Compared to Slumberhouse’s Kiste, I find this much more feminine.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

“Mild Gluttony At A Garden Party” would be a more honest name, but it would be tricky to fit on a bottle. Opens with fresh, moist slices of rum cake, and mellows into honeyed peach with an almost, but not quite, vanilla ice cream accord.
Someone sneaks a cigarette behind the orange blossoms, but they are an artful dodger, and the tobacco note is a very faint moment in the lifetime of the scent.
Dries down to a mild white floral, and leaves just as pleasant, polite and safely pretty as it came in. Hugs and air kisses all round.
A well enough made gourmand for those so inclined, as most of the hedonism present in this fragrance is spending $200 on a 45ml bottle that is arguably more beautiful than its contents.

Hedonist by Viktoria Minya is all about osmanthus (tea olive) blossom. The gorgeous Osmanthus is surrounded by her entourage—a group of pretty, yet supportive notes that compliment and accentuate. She throws a backyard party in her name, inviting Peaches, Orange Blossom, and Vanilla. Rum cake is served. As the evening progresses, however, the guests remain rather subdued, practicing an innocent giddiness akin to a tea party for eight-year-olds. This is probably because Peaches—the sweet, yet domineering creature—rations the rum, only permits smoking in the back of the garden, and chides Jasmine for showing up late. Even Orange Blossom keeps her clothes on and refrains from dancing on the table. But, in spite of a general lack debauchery, and for that matter, serious hedonism, a jolly good time is had by all.

So my friend is obsessed with this perfume and I tried to find a sister to it or a similar perfume searching by notes. I just got a sample of killian back to black and I believed it was similar and when she smelled it it was confirmed. Both have a smokey peachy liquor honey thing going on. Both wonderful very close.

Don’t like it much. I’m not that sure what notes I can smell, but it smells a bit weird. This is just not my cup of tea. I actually think that what I can primarily smell is the rum, as the notes above indicate. I am glad that I could find this out by buying a sample to try it instead of spending a lot of money on a full bottle and then regret it. I think I’ll give this a couple more chances and see if I still don’t like it. I am not sure whether it’s a ‘meh’ or a ‘dislike’, either way, I am not, as it stands, going to buy it as an FB.
Update: After a little while, I think I’ve made up my mind about this one… I dislike it.

After hearing so much about this one, I finally ordered a sample from Luckyscnt and today I’m trying it for the first time. When I first dabbed it on I could smell the tobacco but that disappeared almost immediately. After losing the tobacco, the scent turned icky, sickly sweet – like a cheap vanilla liqueur.
I was hoping to get a real “woody chypre” but on me this is all bad, overly sweet gourmand. Hope I can wash it off . . .

The box and the bottle are absolutely among the prettier ones. The scent is sweet and alluring, like rays of honeydripping Sun…
It`s optimistic and bright, but can yet be worn in the colder time of year as well, due to the softness and comforting notes in it.
Most of all I like the drydown, when the woody vanilla play so well on my skin. A real delight.

  31. :

I’m jealous of those that get smokiness in this, as I think a little more depth and I would have had my new signature scent… but I feel it lacks the edge i’m looking for.
Seems too good-girlish to be called Hedonist, to me.
I was expecting something a little more raunchy and sinful.
It is however, absolutely beautiful. seriously.
Straight from the bottle is smells strongly of rum, but that disappears within seconds.
Then It’s sweet, rich, and luscious peach.
Not that overly sweet peach nectar emulating scent that i’m used to finding in peach body sprays and such bath products…
This is like diving into a fresh juicy peach.
Or a jasmine peach sweet tea.
Providing background support are the white florals and a little woodiness.
    It’s clean and classy.
Very wearable. Could see this on a sophisticated teen all the way up to 50+
This just smells pretty… and looks pretty… I mean, look at that bottle. It’s gorgeous!
I can’t say anything really bad about it, except that I want to feel more than just “pretty” when I wear a scent.

This also could be classified as a fruity floral as I mostly detect the fruity and floral notes. None of the woody, boozy or tobacco notes exist on my skin. For the most part a get a nice day time scent for the warmer months. 45 ml for $200 is outrageous though unless you have cash falling out of your pockets!

I heard about this perfume for quite a while now, so I bought a sample (I didn’t know there are new perfumes even!)
While I do get all the rave, I was really expecting something different, almost as if the rum is not strong enough?!
With all fairness, the scent is beautiful on my wife’s skin, and on my too, but a bit more smokiness and rum would do good to the fragrance!

  35. :

    4 out of 5

This fragrance is a bit too sweet for me but the dry down I found to be quite lovely. If you are a fan of peach and sweet fruits this is for you.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

I am getting a smoky rum at first sniff. Then it morphs into vanilla and orange blossom.
This is a complex sniffy–almost too many unidentifiable notes but it calms down into a warm, sexy blanket. It is more of an experience than a scent.
I like it a lot but the price is offputting. I really need to love something to buy something this expensive.
It’s been 3 hours since I applied this and it has maintained the “smoky floral” aroma.

  37. :

Hedonist yes this perfume truly makes me a hedonist.
An olfactive indulging in pleasure like no other, like a warm balsamic bath in the warm yellow sun. This journey have no bumps on the road, is pure and utterly relaxation.
Under the vanilla clouds is a soft spoken suede(osmanthus) and riped juicy peaches floating in a sea of balsamic orange flowers, non-indolgic jasmine and dark rum in sunkissed honey. All in perfect juxtaposition to the sandy beaches of wood and tobacco.
This fragrance simply takes my breath away, The equivalent of a beautiful sunset for the eyes, your favorite music for your ears or a lovers exciting touch of your skin, this is my new guilty(free) pleasure for my spirit..
Warm, round and licks-delicious sexy. Elixir of pure beauty. 10/10 LOVE IT!

Viktoria’s perfumes are gorgeous; the Hedonist is so much not a streamline perfume. You wouldnt smell something like that in big names perfumes. I hope the brand will have more great perfumes in the future

I can’t say how this smells on skin, but on paper it’s intensely sweet. The rum has that syrupy Southern Comfort quality and after a few minutes I detect a very tart, slightly pissy-smelling honey, which isn’t listed, though it might by the jasmine.
Soon the peach and orange blossom collide, turning into a soapy fruit shampoo that reminded me of “Liaisons Dangereuses” by Kilian.
All in all, not good. Too screechy. Perhaps on skin it smells more balanced, but I daren’t try it.

THIS PERFUME IS ABSOLUTEY BEAUTIFUL! One of the most beautiful scents I have ever encountered.
The only other perfumes that have compared so far with such a beautiful opening for me have been Calligraphy Rose and Malle’s Portrait of a Lady. Not saying they smell similar (they don’t, not at all) but PoaL’s and CL’s opening took my breath away and so did this one. It’s so amazing, the way the sillage will fill up the area around you with just a drop and give off the most heady, gorgeous scent.
I’m not good with detecting specific notes yet, so this is just general impressions. Opening has lots and lots of sweet honey, somewhat boozy, very rich and bombastic. Lots of peach, but not the kind of sickly fruit peach smell I get in a lot of ‘peach’ fragrances, where it smells synthetic and overly fruity. Here it is perfect. This perfume is extremely rich, though. In fact, probably way too rich to wear to work or for every day but perfect for a night out or a special night in 😉
Sillage on this is great, longevity is not very good on my skin (but nothing is good on my dry skin for the most part, so this is more about me than the perfume).
I need this perfume. NEED. I am totally asking for this for Christmas.
Edit- 3 months later- well I didn’t get this for Christmas, so I have decided that my *only* issue with this scent is the price. I really wish it came as 75mls instead of 45, then I could justify it as being about the same price as a SL bell jar. Lol.
Edit again- Well whatever about the price, I bought it anyway. There are so few scents that I LOVE LOVE LOVE, that I think it is worth it. And besides, it’s not as outrageous as the price of some of Malle’s stuff and I wanna buy that too!

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Let me start by saying Peach and I don’t always get along. When its good, its bombastically good… Fresh, juicy, a bit of tang. When its not good, whew! funky unwashed armpits after a 20 mile run!
I the case of hedonist, I was very cautious on how I approached. knowing that peach can be the nemesis note, I tried this one at home alone.
At first I got rum, then…peach…
The peach here is absolutely amazing. Peach, jasmine, and a very interesting honey vibe. Sounds foody but its not. Moist, juicy, and seductive. The basenotes really hold up will against the top and mid notes. I don’t get a heavy tobacco here, just a mere hint. I also don’t get a ton of vanilla, its well mixed.
I know people have said this is like Amouage Journey, but my skin says differently. This isn’t a very sillage heavy scent; it tends to sit close, but I think thats the beauty of it. Were the sillage louder, it would be quite a giant mess.
Longevity is decent. Dries to a skin scent in about 6-7 hours.
Though well liked, I don’t see myself going for it any time soon because to be honest, I think its quite pricy for what it is. However, I’m not a bottle person but for someone who enjoys the entire experience, from bottle to spray, this would be an absolute treat because you’re not only paying for the perfume, but the experience the packaging brings with it. (which is gorgeous btw)

When I think of hedonism I think of more intuitively of animalistic/primal but perhaps that’s because of media/social views on the idea of it. If you look at the actual definition: “the belief that pleasure or happiness is the most important goal in life”, then this perfume is aptly named. It is a full scent that seems to conjure up an experience that encompasses not only multiple senses, but memories and feelings as well.
There’s the fresh peach, sweet and mouth watering; there’s the bergamot for a sparkling freshness, that mixed with the ever so subtle jasmine and orange blossom, evokes a moment of unadulterated pure bliss of endless possibility.
There’s a blend of honeyed sweetness and a dash of what presents like cinnamon that is a gourmand side which brings a different sense of happiness that conjures the feeling of childhood innocence and memories of comfort and home.
Tying in to that is the rum, tobacco, and cedar. This gives the blend a slight masculine warmth and the final piece to the story. This element ties in two different ways. One it connects to the type of contentment you have in a lover’s arms or it appeals to the more adventurous side of a woman who wants to experience all life has to offer and laughs in the face of convention by indulging in non-traditional exploits.
This scent stimulates all the senses and engages memories, which to me is the epitome of the definition of hedonism.
Hedonist reminds me quite a bit of Sushi Imperiale. Just swap out the peach for apple, temper the tobacco and rum a touch and you have a less gourmand Sushi Imperiale, which is both longer lasting and less expensive.

Hedonist is Art, with capital ‘A’! The scent is poetic, like a love letter wrote in an better century, shining like the one of those warm summer days, but still has a modern vibe to it! Although I only own it since a few weeks, it’s become one of my favorite! For me it is more a mood booster then a dirty, sexy scent, but it definitely has an effect on men!

Recent blind buy, and I have to be honest here, it was mostly for the bottle, but this turned out to be my new favorite scent, it is SEXY! On my skin I detect honey and sensual woody notes, less the flowery part though, that people seem to find very appealing.

    Viktoria Minya Hedonist
The first time I saw Venice, Italy, I wept. It was dusk and the sky was my favorite shade of blue. There was a warm gentle wind. The canal glittered with the soft glow of flickering lights. Elegantly dressed people jumped into boats and jetted back and forth over the Grand Canal. Lovers walked arm in arm over the cobblestone streets. People were dining casually along the water’s edge eating sumptuous food from gilded plates, laughing and talking excitedly. It was a feast for the senses.
I am from a county whose creed is “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” but this was my first taste of hedonism, or the pursuit of pleasure. Happiness is so difficult to quantify. How will you ever know when you’re truly happy? Pleasure is so much easier to attain, however, once you feel sated, you run the risk of overindulging; never wanting the good feeling to end. Also, the pursuit of happiness involves an endless reaching for the brass ring, whereas with hedonistic pleasure, you have to stay at the top of your game; to look your best and to be your best self in order to attract the greatest pleasures in life to you. This is the first time a perfume has made me feel that way. I feel like myself, but much much better.
This perfume was so appropriately named. It is the ultimate skin scent. It is soft, warm, sexy, mysterious, fresh, rich, indulgent, clean, and opulent all at once. It opens with a clean sweet osmanthus that wears like a musk similar to Bellissima Intense, but where Bellissima becomes sweet, Hedonist becomes sultry with tobacco and honeyed peach, but the honey is the star of the show. Kama Sutra makes an edible honey powder for intimate moments that is applied to your partner with a feather. This is that same idea as a perfume; it is as soft as a feather and as rich as honey, yet it melts perfectly into the skin, enhancing your own natural skin scent with a subtle sweetened scent. It’s your skin, but much much better

Although I’m more into vintage perfumes, this recent discovery gives me hopes that traditional french perfumery is still alive. Hedonist reminds me of the big classics while it has a pleasant modern vibe to it.

The fragrance is surprisingly sexy and luxurious on me, the bottle is a must have for collectors.

Very pleasant scent of osmanthus, rum and peach, quite dense and sweet. It does smell like spicy and boozy honey but I do not detect any woods. I like it, do not love it, and find it overpriced for what it is. I would have considered a bottle if it was reasonably priced but for almost $200 for 50ml I will pass.

Should you need less beehive, and a lighter approach to peach centred perfumes I would recommend Nectarine Blossom and Honey by Jo Malone; it is indeed less creamy and oppulent but it’s fresher and- mind you- younger. The resemblance of the two potions is more evident once each perfume’s initial notes silence, where the drydowns betray their relation.

Picture a meadow with trees full of ripe, boozy peaches.
Now imagine a beehive slowly oozing rich, succulent honey down onto the peaches from the branches above.
A breeze stirs the air, bringing the scent of flowers basking in the golden rays of the sun from the meadow and the hint of shadowed woods nearby.
The slightest trace of tobacco lingers in the air from a mysterious stranger who passed through sometime before.
That, my friends, is Hedonist. I treasure every second this perfume lingers on my skin. It lasts around 8 hours before fading to a whisper of scent that clings for a few hours longer. Sillage is moderate, dependent of course on how much restraint you are capable of having when it comes time to douse yourself in this glorious concoction.

I purchased a sample and have worn it for a few days. The opening is stunning–a deluge of orange- and peach-scented honey. It calmed down within a few minutes on my skin and then became nicely sweet and a little smoky, and in the end I mostly got vanilla and a little sandlewood. So for me I opens gorgeous but–and my nose isn’t all that sophisticated, so others may smell more–the rest of it is good but not awe-inspiring. I get moderate staying power from just a couple of dabs, so you probably get more with the atomizer.
Update: I’ve worn it for about twenty hours now and have found it sticking around for 8-9 hours quite well this time sound. The honey smell lasted for a couple hours, too, before moving to the second note. The weather is much colder and drier today, and I didn’t put on moisturizer before applying the pefume.
…and another update. It’s some weeks later, and the weather has turned very cold (5-15 F or -12 to -15 C) and suddenly the honey and orange stay on my skin for hours. The sillage has expanded, too. It now trails me by a few feet for several hours and then stays about half an arm length for most of the day.

Definitely a sweet gourmand. I love good quality honey dripping from the comb, and if nothing else this is an homage to bees – wonderful, underrated creatures that our entire ecosystem relies on
But it’s a bit like being force-fed ladles of honey. Hedonists are unashamed over indulgers but it depends what you want to over indulge in. Are hedonists allowed to be discerning? If not then I suppose I’m not a hedonist.
Overwhelmed as I was I couldn’t fully appreciate all the other notes as I was drenched in sweetness, but yes the tobacco and vetiver emphasise the smoky quality of honey on the comb very well.
Excellent quality, in its field, buzzing with busy bees

(blind testing) this started out all incense on me, which I really didn’t expect. I’m not sure, maybe the tobacco in it is such a type as to remind me of incense? 🙂 But then as it dried down I definitely got peach and vanilla, albeit still a smokey toned peachy thing; like a peach incense stick. Warm and inviting, I enjoy it.
EDIT: honestly, it’s a bit too smoky for me. And I always thought I adored smoky frags, but the more this dries down the more the tobacco seems to get a big rough for my tastes. immediately too much… vs the kind of slow-burn I got from this baby.
ETA: this time, blind, months later, it’s all boozy peach hard candies? Huh, I wonder if the weather or my nose have changed… interesting though and I’ll test again 😛

I absolutely love this fragrance. I originally bought it shortly after being released for a birthday present for a close friend however after smelling it, I found it so sexy and enticing that I couldn’t give it to her and instead sits on my shelf waiting to give to “the one” that deserves to wear this as I want to appreciate during intimate moments and not on a friend. All the women I have let smell this quite enjoy it but I think their husbands are likely to love it even more….if it has the same effect on them that it has on me. 😉

After a few weeks of wearing Hedonist, I dare to claim it to be the feminin counterpart of Creed’s Aventus. My husband says this is the sexiest scent I ever had! …Same for me with Aventus on him!

I wiffed on the gender meter and thought the accords would over-compensate for Fragrantica’s feminine tag for Hedonist. I was wrong a
