Another Black Afgano flanker… Good, since there is no need to review in this case 😉

    Sandalwood Incense…
A lovely, rich smell which combines oud, sandalwood and incense, with a sweetness and a dryness which is appealing. A hint of saffron, ylang-ylang, rose, patchouli, tonka bean and myrrh… but I don’t get any of that. What I get is the woods and incense.
I think this is a really nice scent. It wears close to the skin, which I don’t’ mind, and the longevity is moderate. I do find it quite enjoyable on the whole, however I can think of other fragrances that do the same and more for less. The smell is great, but the performance and texture could have been amplified a little. Nevertheless it’s a good perfume, however I’ve seen it before with other scents.

Went to the shop the other day to peruse the perfume, a Favorite pastime, and saw this new offering of Oud. I got a sample from the oh so nice employee as I was browsing other ouds and she thought I might like it. Well Ive just applied it and I must say its…nice. Very dry and dusty. Not sure if it smells like the winds across the Sahara, but I suppose someone with a good imagination could close their eyes, sniff, and transport themselves there. Starts very peppery and dries down sorta sweet. I’ve smelled much better ouds and this one has a very weak projection. After thirty minutes i can only detect if I burrow in close.
    Scent 7/10
    Projection 5/10
    Fortitude 3/10

When i first smelled this, i thought that it smelled like a light version of Montale Dark Aoud. But the Oud you smell in the beginning, falls so far to the background after about 30 minutes. After that, the sandalwood rises to the top and dominates completely.
And what does it remind me of now? 24 Gold by scentstory, without the raspberry. Sandalwood, incense and oud. A touch of something else thats sweet aside from the natural sweetness of the sandalwood. I think its the tonka bean.
Suitable for man, woman, or beast. You must love sandalwood. If you do not love sandalwood dominant perfumes, don’t even think about this one.
The composition is extraordinary. This is high quality through and through. Presentation is very nice, and clean. Magnetic caps always score high with me!
Silage is excellent. Projection is above average, as is longevity.
By far the best from the house.
