I’ve been wearing Haneen for a while.
Throughout the life of the fragrance the Rose is the star. It is a beautiful pink Damask Rose.
First blast is the citrus, Rose, and the fruit. The fruit smells really ripe which makes this smell very “rich” on my skin and I could see someone being put off by that ripeness. But the fruit makes way to the spices, musk and wood.
Perhaps because of the wood and amber in the mid and base notes it’s not quite as sweet as it could be, but it is plenty sweet, plenty soft, plenty beautiful. And throughout it all is the Rose.
This is an evening fragrance for me, not something I would wear to run errands. I have worn this in hot weather as well as cool. I think it performs best in cooler weather but would wear it again in the heat but I would be careful of the circumstances and not get overheated while wearing it. This perfume can project.

I’ve just tried this again after a long time of thinking It’s not for me – and it’s gorgeous! Fruity taif rosey soft oud and sandalwood. Taking it off my swap list and keeping it 🙂

I suppose every middle-eastern house needs to have a few fragrances with this traditional combo. Haneen is very nice, clean and refreshing. The rose is nice quality, and modified by subtle fruit-aldehydes. Elegant enough for casual or business daywear, but not distinguished enough in my book for important or formal events.

This a second review. I think probably my bottle was in the process of turning. Now, the bad smell stays unchanged, and the little rose scent left is very acrid, sour and ..mmm like nail polish remover..really bad! I don’t think I will repurchase. It is finally going to the trash can.

I got this from Beauty spin for a very modest price. The experience wearing this scent has been very interesting. The first blast of my EDP made wonder if I should put it in the trash. I guess it might be the oud. I got the most terrorific, fecal, putrid notes for about 2-3 minutes, I thought I was going to vomit. How can people love this? This is just scary, dirty, putrid…fecal.
I washed. But..I tried again, and endured the dirty scent, until a wonderful transformation happened. Just like a butterfly looks like a hideous maggot at some point in its life, Haneen begins its journey in a very challenging and unattractive way. After the fecal notes disappear, a wonderful, bright, plump rose comes to steal the show. No more scary notes, just soft amber, sandalwood and red velvety roses. I believe the improvement from scary to beautiful took 10-12 minutes, not so bad after all!
Really amazing. Please give this perfume a chance, I got mine for just 14$ and I am very glad that I gave it a chance, even after the horrible first encounter!
If you love roses, you should try this humble gem.
EDIT: I also got MARVELOUS but it is not in the database, so I will shortly review it here, Al Haramain Marvelous is a very potent scent, with notes of pineapple, peach, vanilla and musk. The scent projects like crazy for several hours, and I mainly perceive pineapple and vanilla. If you like these sweet notes maybe you should try it, it is inexpensive, about 15$. Very linear, but so strong it may provoke a headache, so be cautious.

This is 95 percent similar to Marwah by Al Haramain. On my skin this is less sweet thanMarwah and I prefer Marwah over this. Great sillage. The oud note is very strong here.

It’s like Marwah but with an added citronella note. Maybe some of the magic is lost in the spray version compared to the oil. Still pleasant. Great for spraying in the hair.

Haneen, Attar al Kaaba, and Marwah all smell nearly identical on my skin–like standard, light, clean, rose oud oils.
Haneen is my favorite of the three because it has a lifting effect and is sunny in character, whereas the other two have more of a grounding, bitter edge.
This is predominately a sparkling rose fragrance in a lovely ornamental bottle. The rose is clearly of the synthetic variety–no rosebush or velvety petals are felt here–but it is still pretty.
I don’t get any fruits at all, and I don’t get much oud from this either. Overall, Haneen smells like a basic rose in light musk. It’s likeable and nice, but not distinctive.

Agarwood and sandalwood are both too heavy in this scent, you can barely distinguish them and they don’t mix up together they way they are supposed to!
After the first 5 minutes the agar wood fades away, still remain sandalwood that gets along fine with amber.
Definitely a scent not for every one!
Main accord is not rose, but oud.

Update: i purchased the oil version only last week.
It lasts all day and lingers beautifully. Ive recieved a few compliments with this.
The notes are well blended and the fruitiness remains. A very seductive scent, sillage is amazing when applied on clothes it lingers for days.
This and Al Kaaba are my favourites from a lot of the Arabic perfumes i have tried.
Update (15/6/14): the spray version is lighter and musky whilst the oil is deeper and the oud is smooth, which lasts longer.

I received my bottle today.I just love this perfume, it’s a sweeter version of Attar Al Kaaba in my opinion. I love Haneen more though, I would recommend this perfume highly. It lasts for a few good hours on me.

This is a good one ,
A start off soft rose , soft Oud , not as strong and pearsing as the Oud in Montale for instense . This is slightly more smokey, spicy. After a wild there is a touch off orange peal coming thrue. almost a feal off Orange marmelade , a bit dry , slightly spicy, tad masculine maybe (not very much.. but at this stage a little bit) On my skin it isent that strong and overwelming as many other Oud oils . This is easyer to wear do to that fact..
I thought it would be sweeter , but do to the dry orange and lightly smokyness it is a bit on the dry side . at least on my skin.. i like it very much .. and after just a few minuts i got my first compliment on it 😉
a lovely gem .. not so shure in wich ocation this will be good to wear , but i am shure i figuere it out

A very pretty scent of oud, sandalwood and rose. I love the edp version far more than the oil (which is thicker, lacks the freshness of the edp and is too musky on my skin).
One to definately try out and long lasting with low to medium sillage.

    Another masterpiece!
    Fantastic rose with oud
Affordable price but yet smell really expensive.
