Description

The house of Jesus del Pozo presents a new fragrance from their well-known collection Halloween, inspired with dynamic and life in New York. Halloween Fever is a modern, youthful fragrance for girls, composed of luminous citruses, gentle and feminine flowers with a harmonious finish of warm and sensual notes.

Top notes of Halloween Fever glitter and refresh with Italian bergamot, juicy drops of orange with a sophisticated lady-like trail of rose essences. A heart provides a gentle, floral bouquet of lotus, ylang ylang, Egyptian jasmine and juicy apricot, while a base ensures a sensual finish of bourbon vanilla, Indonesian patchouli, musk and tonka beans.

The fragrance hits the shelves in characteristic flacon, with violet fluid and silver details. Tall buildings on the flacon remind us of New York skyline, and unusual, glittery stopper gives a special touch to the bottle, associated with glamor and night life of the capital. The fragrance can be purchased as 30, 50 and 100ml EDT. Edition 2011.

This Halloween flanker took me a while to understand. At first I thought it was a spring version due to the citric and flower notes, but when wearing it on spring or summer and even winter it didn’t feel nice, it has that mystical or slightly balsamic subtle and delicate undertones, beyond the powdery lotus+rose that in spring isn’t fresh nor strong enough, too weak, so infirm that it feels like a sickly lady from the Victorian age. Neither fits summer, as one needs something more vitalist, refreshing, fancier, and sexier while on holidays or summer office days, so it’s not the moment for formal subtleties as hot weather absorbs everything. And in winter one can get a metallic mint vibe that just doesn’t fit in cold weather.
Indeed, Halloween Fever was made to be worn in autumn (as the name suggests). When we all come back to the same old routine, tradition and new books, notebooks and diaries, trying to reinvent our style with new acquisitions, the earth and the skin are still warm, but cold and humid winds blow up the leaves, while the dusking sky comes every day sooner. In these moments of the year one can appreciate the rich bourbon vanilla almost instantly if applied on the skin, while flowers, mint or citrus notes don’t bother much, they just play in the background giving the vanilla a mystical and ethereal touch.

I Received fever from fragrancenet a short while ago and I’m not sure if mine has been diluted because it lasts no time at all no matter how much I spray but it is winter in Australia so maybe it needs warmth??

It’s hard to describe this fragrance. It’s a blast of so many notes when first sprayed on that I can’t distinguish any of them until the dry down and the vanilla, musk and tonka beans come out. That being said it’s a really lovely fragrance that smells wonderful. I got the edp so it has good longevity on me.

A nice, simple and nor over-the-top aquatic floral scent.
During the time I tested this,I was actually going to buy different perfume which was Paris Bleu Diplomate pour femme.I spritz this on the top of my hand and not on my wrist so I can enjoy the whiffs.
What made be bought this fragrance is of how long lasting it is and the good silage of it after washing my hands (without soap) and having the scent to still linger on my skin.
Scent:The first is very citrusy, floral and aquatic. The type of aquatic which is kinda heady and reminds me of something that will trigger my childhood asthma. Then it remains a floral aquatic vanilla for the rest of the duration.
Longevity:It lasts well on my skin and even better on my clothes.10 hours tops on my skin and 3 days on clothes.
Sillage:Maybe around 2 feet away.Quite a nice, clean floral scent and it’s not offensive at all which is nice.
It’s a good scent, not over the top can be used as an everyday work scent.

It’s not easy to review this perfume.
    1. Its longevity and sillage are rather weak.
    2. Too many notes.
To be honest I can’t even tell what it smells like at the first sniff, so many notes mixing together and that I can’t separate each of them. The only thing that I recognized was citrus, smells pretty tart. As I wait for the drydown everything keep changing like a roller coaster, after that the citrus and tonka bean step aside whereas the flowers start reveal themselves.
Jasmine is gently wrapped by rose and they all blended really well with lotus, in the meantime patchouli does a great job at bringing everything together and it surely adds some depth to the scent without being heavy at all.
When I spray it on my wrist I don’t smell anything juicy or sweet, to my nose it’s more like a champagne-like floral scent with a touch of green. But when I spray it on my clothes I can totally smell the juicy apricot and the sweetness out of it. I have super dry skin and poor blood circulation, I assume that is why my skin does not react well to the perfume.
It’s soft, young, uplifting and maybe a little bit playful. Beware if you don’t like musk, it’s quite prominent on my skin when reaching drydown.

This is my third bottle of Halloween after classic one and Tattoo.
At first classic Halloween and Fever smelled the same to me, even though i didn’t find any common notes in them except for vanilla.
But after some time closer to the middle I realized that Fever is absolutely different perfume where tonka beans solo and set the tone to the whole composition. Normally I don’t like tonka for its medicine smell,it’s so easy to ruin the perfume with it:) especially when the note is very intensive.
But in Fever tonka beans are softened by ylang-ylang,lotus and orange. Flowers and citrus notes don’t let tonka spoil the scent;)
It definitely smells expensive, longevity and silage are not very high, but I don’t mind to reperfume during the day! I’d give it 9 out of 10.

    YUCK!
    nothing like the original Halloween
    sweet and strange smell
    Rose ? Jasmine ?
    haven’t smelled them at all
only aquatic sweet and green vibes
    maybe my bottle is bad

This was a blind buy, based on the notes, the reviews, and the fact that I was able to pick it up at a great price. This one sort of crept up on me, in that I wasn’t rapt with it to start. I liked it, it smelt lovely, but it didn’t knock my socks off. However I found the more I wore it, the more I liked it and now I’m nearly halfway through the bottle. It’s the first scent by Jesus del Pozo I’ve tried, and I’d definitely look for more of their scents to try. Of all of my fragrances, this is the one that gets the most comments – one lady I work with liked it so much, she wanted to know where she could buy it. It’s a beautiful citrusy floral – the orange and rose are most prominent on me at first, then it mellows as the jasmine and vanilla start to appear. It’s a lovely, fresh, uncomplicated scent, with great staying power.

Really Gorgeous Unique Floral. It’s Sweet, Floral & Rosy. It has Lotus, which I always enjoy. (It always works for me). This has an Aquatic Fresh Slightly Green feel to it & also a beautiful semi-sweet almost Creamy Vanilla with the perfect touch of spice. Gorgeous!!
Doesn’t smell like anything I own. You should like this if you like scents like So De La Renta, Live in Love, etc.

Yes, it is a sister of Halloween but more attractive and interesting one. This terrible ozonic nightmare note present in Halloween is barely there in Halloween Fever, and generally the whole combo is a bit sweeter, more intense but less psychodelic at the same time. It’s also a bit sweeter and more wearable yet it preserves the mysterious properties of the original. I recommend trying both and choosing your variant.

Do not let the name Halloween Fever put you off!
Initially its a very strong citrus floral but opens into a really warm fragrance which I enjoyed! After that citrus blast a rose mingles, as it settles it then blends and morphs perfectly with the ylang ylang and the tonka bean with a musky undertone which is not overbearing just simmering in the background!
Longevity was 5-6 hrs for me. Sillage was average…. People could smell and complimented for 2-3 hrs
I would wear this mainly daytime, office, lunch shopping or even for ME!
Its quirky I like it, I cannot compare it to the original haloween as other reviewers can but I am sure we will be aquainted at some point!
Amazing price in uk @ allbeauty

I had the original Halloween YEARS ago and loved it. Bought Halloween Fever as an inexpensive blind buy months ago, simply because I loved the bottle. It stayed in the box and in my perfume bin for months, until I unearthed it a few days ago and decided to give it a try. WOW! Nevermind that I was pleasantly surprised at how it took me back to my original Halloween days of the mid 90s, but the reception this fragrance has received in just the few times I’ve worn it this past week has been unprecedented in all the years and all the perfumes I have worn. I am not exaggerating when I say I have had several men, women AND children compliment me on this fragrance. Co-workers, friends, my kids’ friends, and complete STRANGERS have either asked me what I am wearing and/or told me I smell good. Now I have had compliments on fragrances I am wearing before, but not like this. In the 5 days I’m wearing it, I must have had a dozen compliments. Glad I decided to clean out the perfume bin and give this one a try!

I purchased this fragrance without even smelling it based on it’s reviews. I ALWAYS get asked what perfume I’m wearing when I wear it….everyone loves it and wants to know the name. I’m glad I took a risk on it….it’s very soft and feminine and not overpowering. It’s more of a summer or spring fragrance versus a fall or winter heavy fragrance.

EdP-version: Very fresh flowery scent. On my skin I get most Magnolia, Jasmine, Rose, Tonka, Vanilla & Musk. I sneeze alot of some parfumes – and right now I sneeze big time.
Timeless – a scent both for a teenager and for a woman. Longlasting on my skin.

VERY similar to the original (At first I could not tell them apart at all, until I tried both of them on again a second time and paid very close attention) Fever seems to have a little bit of a rose scent mixed in and it is noticably stronger. The original Halloween has a slightly more of a watery characteristic. I doubt that I, or anyone else, could tell the difference if someone were wearing either scent unless the other was nearby to use as a reference. In my book they are a near perfect dupe for one another, at least while wearing it. If you were to purchase either I would suggest Fever because the bottle is prettier and the scent is very slightly stronger.

For some reason I don’t get any citrus from this perfume. On me it is a soapy, clean floral from start to finish. Lotus is most prominent in the opening, blending sweetly with some jasmine and roses. As it dries I get a little bit of the patchouli and tonka bean but not to the point where it loses its sweetness. I think the bottle is very tacky but the juice is lovely and uplifiting.

This vibrant fragrance starts out with a bright citrus note, and within a few minutes it will begin to mellow with the richness of the ylang ylang/apricot/tonka bean and patchouli blend, with none of those notes overpowering any other.
It is not a sweet perfume like so may others, but rather a fresh scent that has it’s own personality.
This is not one of the many clone scents that are so common these days, but the scent you want to pick up when you need a cool change. Sillage and longevity are moderate.

To my nose, there was absolutely no difference between this and the original Halloween. I told myself it had a stronger citrus, but I am not too sure of that.

But I would give it another name: like Halloween Silver, Halloween Moon, Halloween Floral(flowers), Halloween Eve. Not fever. The lid is very nice and original)

Slightly different from the Original version, but colder, more powdery, with distinct rose notes. I would prefer this one to the original version. I’ve used Halloween since 2006, not all the time, but bought periodically. And for me this verision is a plesant surprise- something new but still the same!

The first time I saw this bottle I knew I had to have
this! The New York skyline and disco globe cap are so
original! The scent is a pretty light floral. This would
never offend anyone, so tight office cubicles or hospitals are fine.Did I mention light?I have to bring
my nose directly to my wrist for the faintest sniff of rose and violette.
My friend says it smells like shampoo. This would be good for someone that really does not
like fragrance, one half hour later, not a trace.Too bad,the bottle looks great on my dresser.

I agree with La Moon on the violet and rose, really soft and pretty. A little green peppery spiciness ramps it up a touch and a sweet, slightly powdery muskiness comes out as it begins to dry down. Even though it’s very light, it still has a lovely, fresh and unobtrusive sillage. Not one of my absolute favourites, but I like it and it’s an easy, every day sort of scent.

Love the scent, love the bottle! At first, it smells the same as the original Halloween. Later, it gets softer and sweeter with rose and lotus. The longevity is great! It lasts the whole day on my skin and two days on my clothes.

Started off with a real citrus burst and then it softened off and the florals came through. A lovely fresh scent that you could wear in hot and humid weather without it feeling too heavy. Has a somewhat aquatic fragrance without the sour note that I would normally associate with aquatics, probably the lotus.

Halloween fever is very similar to the original Halloween. Its just less sharp, more musky and floral. It opens with that tart violet Halloween opening but wit more orange and the smell of rose petals. I owned the original Halloween for 5 yrs went through 3 bottles.also have like 3 of the Halloween spin offs. I did like Halloween freesia the best but this one may have beat it out. Perfect for an awesome night out. But again if you don’t like the original you prob won’t like this…and if you do enjoy it you will enjoy this updated more grown up masterpiece.

I bought the 100ml Eau De Parfum of this and was pleasantly surprised. Roses, apricots, lotus flower, vanilla, patchouli, musk and a hint of jasmine are the predominant aromas (particularly the rose which stays with me for a long time). I love the powdery, musky drydown too! Lovely in summer or winter. In fact, the warmer your skin is, the better the resonance!

I never thought I would go for a fruit-oriental fragrance. I am a floral girl to the bones, but I love Halloween Fever. My mum tried to steal it from me and she cant stand oriental perfumes either. 🙂
Halloween Fever smells like magic to me. Mysterious and warm, its a perfect choice for fall and winter.

I’d like to know if the people that voted “dislike” to this perfume like or dislike the original Halloween. Just interest.
Because I like the original, I used to love it when I was younger and now I find it a bit too “cold” but maybe too sharp for the summer.
Anyway, I tested Halloween Fever a couple of weeks ago and what a surprise!
To my nose, the starting notes where exactly like the original Halloween, but later, on the dry down it was sweeter, to me a bit like violet, but it could be the roses. This gives Halloween Fever the sweetness the original needs not to be so sharp and it lasts longer too.
If you thought Halloween was for a younger girl, Halloween Fever has deffinitely the appeal for a more mature woman.
