A very nice green carnation! The greens fade then the carnation takes center stage. I wouldn’t say its an old lady perfume, but this is a very grown-up, ladylike, classy, French perfume. It smells expensive. This is not your line dance, summer festival, concert-going green floral. This is what you wear to an inaugural ball or meeting the queen of England.
As an eccentric, mountain explorin’, piano tinkerin’, Southern metalhead INFP girl, Green Carnation is everything I am not. However I will keep this for those very special occasions where I have to pretend to be an adult, and continue to wax poetic about how Summer Dandelion is still my favorite Alkemia nature-smelling perfume stuffs.
I have only encountered one carnation perfume that smelled more realistic than this blend, and it was made from fresh flowers that were steam-extracted from a fourth generation perfumer and is a single note perfume.
Although I will be sticking with that, I rank Green Carnation as a very well blended, sophisticated carnation that is definitely worth a try.

A wonderful totally unisex carnation scent. Its a totally wearable carnation that is not overpowering but neither a shy flower. If you love this flower then one not to miss. I get moderate longevity and it stays close to the skin.

Ethereal is the only word I could use to describe this one. It haunts you as much as perfumes you. It opens with green notes but these pass reasonably quickly and it becomes the most hyper-realistic carnation I have ever encountered, like thrusting your nose into a bouquet. It even matches the scent intensity and behaviour of the natural thing. A very well executed soliflore. Bravo.

Oh my I do love a fistful of spicy red-hot carnations clustered together in sinuous skanky green bindings, pulsing with a narcotic induced debauchery. No… Queen Victoria would never have worn this. This is the hidden summer house at midday, an unmade teak wood daybed in the recesses, caught in a tepid cross breeze that tones down the heat to just below suffocating. Bay has always taken carnation from creamy virgin-on-the-verge to exotically impertinent whore. As for me… I think I need an ultime version with more of the whore, please!
