This scent is PURE MALE on me. No way I would wear it. I don’t get any citrus whatsoever. I smell herbal, tea – like scent that is strong. Too masculine for me. I love the Gandini line but this should be a male cologne.

Bought this perfume for summer 2013 as a trial.I thought there was going to be a strong upfront grapefruit and citrus character as described by its name but on me it has been the herbal characteristics that come through – rosemary and lavender. I dont mind these as I like herbal green but would have liked some grapefruit coming through and this would have given the perfume a better balance. I think I will stay with Eau Savage as my summer favorite, where the citrus is beautifully balanced with the basil.

Gandini POMPELMO ED AGRUMI is different from most citrus colognes I’ve tried in that it is more aromatic than citrus and by far the strongest opening citrus is the bergamot, not the grapefruit indicated in the name. The rosemary, star anise, and lavender are going to make this seem too masculine for some gals, I think.
What I like about this refreshing cologne is not only that it is very different from the other grapefruit colognes familiar to me, but also that the grapefruit finally takes over in the drydown, with a very marked grapefruit peel note coming through and dominating all of the other strong aromatics. I do not detect ambrette seed or much in the way of jasmine in this mix, but they may be drowned out by the herbs and citrus.
All in all, I do think that this composition is more aromatic than citrus, but it is wonderfully uplifting and perfect for hot weather. I especially recommend this cologne to gents, but it will work for some women though they may wish to try before they buy.
