A memory of scent for me. I still own a miniature. Like the name says, it is a triumph of flowers with a hint of sweetness, maybe honey, but nothing compared to recent sickening ones. It smelled classic and joyful at the same time, a little thick and “yellow”. I guess it’s one of those perfumes that would be called “boring” now, because it’s basically a flower salad, but I always thought of it as a luminous perfume, like a sunny day. A classic feminine without strong aldeides, very wearable for daytime.

I bought this for my mother in Paris Summer 1990 during its launch. Starting the next year, I bought it at a nearby COsmetics Center before it went out of business. I would spritz it while changning at work, and a co-worker bought it after smelling it in the dressing room. It suited me in high school, and I still like the scent.
If pressed to describe it, I would say waxy honey like a beeswax candle, wildflower honey and warm yellow flowers blowing in a gentle cool breeze of very blue skies. It is naive and sunny, slightly warm but not hot. It reminds you of a place and is blended to smell like many smells at once instead of singular notes.
It wafts nicely, with sillage just beyond arm’s length. It lasts a few hours but not extemely long. I reapply after 5 hours.
The exact scent is now available as of Fall 2013: Honeymania EDT from the Body Shop. I already bought 4 bottles!
