New flankers by L’Occitane Au Brésil, both inspired by the theme of water: “Balanço de Rio” (River’s Swing) and this beautiful “Gotas de Chuva” (Raindrops), whose composition is much more elaborate then those 3 materials listed above. It certainly strikes you first with this juicy mandarine note, balanced by a sweet/sour lemon note (like those lemon drop candies from childhood). In minutes the fruitness dominates, now backed with soft spices and a water accord. This time though, in contrast with its sibling, which has some sort of marine accord (I wrote a small review there), this one brings a fresh water atmosphere, almost like a summer picnic at the lake. Easy to wear, unisex, but keep in mind longevity and sillage are those of a traditional eau de cologne. Good quality materials, great price. Feels like fresh out of shower on a summer morning! 8.5/10
