Good Girl Légère Carolina Herrera for women of Carolina Herrera

Share:

Description

In February 2018, Carolina Herrera comes out with Good Girl Eau de Parfum Légère, the new edition of Good Girl fragrance from 2016. The original was conceived as representation of the duality of a woman’s character, with an addictive combination of tuberose and roasted tonka bean.

Good Girl Légère is a lighter, more floral version of the oriental, floral and gourmand original. It keeps the notes of jasmine, which are enhanced and enriched ylang-ylang. Tuberose is toned down, with no coffee note. The base keeps tonka bean and sandalwood in its composition.

The fragrance is available as a 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum Légère.

The nose behind this fragrance is Louise Turner.

It’s weird, I can’t smell much. I was expecting at least a big like considering I like/love all notes that are listed. Will surely try this again later because today I must be partially anosmic to it.

Actually, this version has a lot in common with original. But this one is more gourmand, thanks to dulce de leche. Also carhmere wood, tonka beans and citrus are noticeable. Maybe it seems a little bit mascuiline because of the cashmere wood note, but I like this note.
In general it reminds me Olympea. The same cashmere wood with sweetness.
I like this version more than original.

I like the original Good Girl, but this one was a love at first sniff.it has Good Girl gene but it’s more feminine, more, smooth, less dark, less heavy, yet sweeter and more delicious.I can detect tones of dulce le leche here and I love it’s warm, creamy, milky, caramelized, smooth deliciousness.and there’s lots of tonka but a lovely floral heart prevents it from turning to a masculine tonka perfume.flowers are better pronounced here but not as tuberosey as the original,it’s more about buttery ylang ylang and jasmine.I can also smell a hint of something like melted chocolate
Drydown is less gourmandish, drier, more woodsy, softer and less bright.
All in all I find it addictive,a gourmand with some depth and complexity.I’m also happy with it’s strength and projection and adore it’s bottle.for me it’s wearable year round except summers
It’s a must have for me but it’s super expensive in my country,so I wish they continue making it until the time I can afford a bottle

You think a perfume is awful and disgusting yet you continue using it for months? That would make you either stupid or cheap wouldn’t it?

In my opinion this is awful.
I’ve been using this for months now and i couldn’t be grateful enough for a fragrance not lingering around more than 3 hours. And with this really i am.
When i spray out it has the most suffocating, disgustingly sweet ylang-ylang + jasmine + amber scent.
When it starts to dry out it has this disgusting… i don’t know how to describe this smell. It’s almost like being in a freaking room that hasn’t been aired out for like years and all of the people’s scents, stink is absorved by the walls. I woulnd’t recommend this to anyone who doesn’t like jasminy scents.

This is for me much better than the already great original good girl .
    – The original one is mind blower however few guys felt a bit of masculinity touch in it , it has a little in your face scent .
but this one is softer , sweeter , more feminim so more sexniess .
it is absolutely good upgrade to the original .
so yeah it smell as a good girl it has the DNA obvious not 100% new one , but it added sweeter sexy touch.
    100% worth buying .

Technically Good Girl Légère is centered around tonka bean, has a slight banana accord and the florals: ylang and jasmine are more present than in the original, or at least I can hear them better here. The original is too much vanilla tonka. Légère is still sweet but more balanced between the gourmand notes and the florals.
Very feminine, office and daytime appropriate, for truly good girls, dressy scent, could be worn in the summer because it’s not cloying at all.
It’s not as balsamic or woodsy as it states, in fact it’s barely balsamic. More interesting than the original, although both have their appeal. Légère is for tonka lovers, it’s loaded with tonka and has that fancy contemporary sweet vibe. A sensual ylang balances the tonka, that’s what saves it from being another mish mash gourmand. Some might find it boring. Floral oriental gourmand.
Official Carolina Herrera website offers a listing of these notes:
    •Informal elegance
Mandarine, Bulgarian rose, Jasmine sambac, Orange blossom, Praline, Cinnamon
    •Freshness
    Jasmine sambac, Bergamot, Lemon
    •Comfort
Tonka, Sandalwood, Cedarwood, Cashmere, Patchouli, Amber notes, Transparent musk

It does not remind me of the classic Good Girl too much, it does have a similar vibe, but Legere version is brighter, juicier and nicer. I have enjoyed it a lot and it performs well.

    A very nice balsamic fragrance.
I sense tonka bean and floral notes.
It is nicely mixed together, so it’s pleasant.
I guess people really love those shoe bottles.
Personally I really liked how softly the bottle sprayed.
    A bit ordinary, but nice.

Smells like skinny jeans, cashmere jumper and black suede jacket kind of scent. On a cool, spring afternoon. Having vanilla milkshake while strolling through the park. First date perhaps? Seductive, playful and catching attention without being loud.
On my skin it’s very (!) different to original Good Girl. It’s soft and creamy without heavy accords. “Expensive soap” creaminess starts in the dry down, when the cashmirwood and musk make their appearance. The scent radiates from warm skin giving that elusive, sensual “out of the shower” feeling.
Longevity is outstanding! It stays 8-10 hours on my dry skin, something only few other perfumes in my collection manages (even my beloved Narciso leaves me after 4 hours max).
GG Legere on the right person is a big compliment getter. It’s a refreshing surprise and will definitely perform well during British spring and summer nights 🙂

Upon a first sniff, i thought it was very much the same as the original, without comparing them side by side. I even caught myself thinking: is there any difference? I sprayed it on myself a few times and proceeded shopping..
After a few minutes i realised how good it smelled. It is softer, smoother and more pleasant than the first version. It is also sweeter in a non-sugary way. I never really fell for the original, but i really love this legere version. I don’t detect all those notes listed here. For me this is all about tonka, ylang and some sandalwood. Occasionally i smell tuberose rather clearly. Sometimes not. But this perfume is addictive. It is not a light/fresh summery perfume, but it is definitely not as sharp as the first edp.
It is a love from me. Well done all-year-round perfume

She is my new favorite scent! I think I am addicted to it. I keep sniffing it all the time. There is everything I need in this beautiful perfume, it’s perfect! And not only the scent is beautiful, but the glass of it, too! It’s stylish, really really sexy and feminine. Awesome.

Extremely similar to the original Good Girl, but I get something … I’m not sure if I can call it “citrusy” or “sour”, and Definitly no cacao here, yet stunning!!
I wanted to add it to my collection to have a pair of high heels, hehehe! Mama told me I have a problem, but whatever I will manage my discipline later xD

Just at first sniff, I really liked it. Felt a little bit heavy, but there was something delicious in it, apparently the Dulce de leche (like a milk caramel) which isn’t listed here in the notes. But WARNING! After a while it started to smell heavier, duller and somehow toxic (not in a sensual or good way), til now, 3 hs later, where I JUST CAN’T STAND IT. For me, the drydown is minty and very medicinal, I’m not kidding feel like I’m smelling some rat poison I have at home, and I never get this kind of reaction to any perfume.
Don’t know why, but on my skin it feels really similar tu Nina Ricci’s Luna, which I don’t like either, so, there you have a clue.

Top notes are lovely ylang-ylang, but later it’s all about tuberose, not my favorite flower. What a shame, I love this bottle.

This gorgeous perfume was the latest addition to my collection. It smells lovely and has good longevity too. Especially on clothes it stays for days. I can still get whiffs on a scarf I wore some days ago.. I can’t wait to wear this on summer !

I really like original Good Girl, so expected lighter version of it and I was not wrong.
Legere is Dulche de Leche bomb (not listed here in notes, but oficially listed by CH) where ylang-ylang and deep tonka bean seconds to it, underlined with tuberose and less prominent jasmine. Whilst there still some original DNA left.
It’s sweet, but not heavy but rather creamy (although I would find it too much for summer). It can be perfect daytime scent as well as date fragrance and even a good signature probably. Smells unique for sure.
    To me 7/10.

This is a very nice put together perfume. Wanted the original just for the bottle but had a hard time with the somewhat green, musculine notes in it. Tried it several times and my boyfriend really liked it but I decided it wasn´t for me. This one is going to end up on my shelf though! It´s softer, more feminine and sweeter. Still has an interesting masculine part and I think it´s the ylang ylang but the tonka beans with it´s caramel balance it out to a perfect blend.

    Uniqueness – 6/10
    Longevity – 6/10
    Sillage – 7/10
    Value for money – 7/10
Tested this beauty today in store. On the initial spray I get cacao powder, even though it is not listed in the notes. I see the original Good Girl DNA, but much more elegant, soft, feminine, not so much in-your-face. Beautiful play on tonka bean as the lead note, the sillage of this thing is adorable and will get you compliments. The bottle is so well-crafted and hefty, it just feels worth the price tag. This fragrance smells like shampoo to me at times, but not in a bad way. On my skin longevity was average, about 5h, a few hours more on clothes.
Thumbs up overall, this is a well-done one!
