Description

Jennifer Lopez launches new fragrance named Glowing in the spring of 2012, representing a kind of continuation of the theme of the debut Glow from 2002. Glowing is actually a homage to Glow.

Glowing is such a clean fragrance. That’s what I’ve always been about. I like soapy, clean smells. This is a very woodsy scent. So it’s not exactly what I created 10 years ago — it’s the evolution of that. At the essence, it’s still natural, earthy, clean and real, but a little different side of that. It’s the woodsy side of it, which I think is kind of New York-y, darker and sexier”, said Jennifer Lopez to wwd.

The floral – woody – ambery composition is created by Calice Becker and Caroline Sabas of Givaudan. The top notes are fresh due to bergamot, mandarin and cypress. The heart includes accords of orange blossom, lily of the valley and cassia flower. Woody notes of sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli in the base are fused with tones of cashmere musk, vanilla and sultan amber. Lopez explained the slightly lavender color of the fragrant liquid by the fact that the fragrance contains a trace of violet in it.

The advertising campaign was shot by Solve Sundsbø. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum with 200 ml body lotion. Atomizers of the 50 and 75 ml bottles light up for 15 seconds after pressing.

It’s nice, to me it smells mostly of musk and violet. I liked it but got bored of it quite quickly, so I sold it.

Jlo needs to bring this back, I really loved this fragrance and the bottle! It smelt so clean and fresh kinda like glow but more woodsy I hope her new company produces this. Gosh it was great

So happy I purchased a bottle of this when it first came out because sadly I see it has been discontinued. I adore the light up bottle! The juice is beautiful! Just as Jlo intended it’s a clean, soft, woodsy and sexy scent! Gorgeous for night time in my opinion and I feel could be worn anytime of the year. This scent is also comforting too as I love to wear this to bed. I will treasure my bottle until the very last drop <3

I couldn’t smell anything. Literally, not even a hint of a scent. I was disappointed because this was when it first came out and I wanted the light up bottle. Gimmicky, I know but I love lights. Anyway, I ended up sending it back because I felt like I was sorting water on myself.

I Loooooooove this one. Glowing and Glow are her absolute best! Dry, woodsy, light violet, very vintage smell… Wish it lasted longer, but for the price is great.

I bought this perfume based on reviews and I have been so pleasantly surprised by how much I like, on the verge of love, this! I think ‘adore’ is the right word for how I feel about it.
It is nice and woody, warm, slightly sweet. I don’t really get spice or violet from it. (I think my nose isn’t very sensitive to violet) This is the one I find myself reaching for lately. I even bought an extra backup bottle, something I haven’t done for years. It’s certainly different from the regular range of sweet perfumes that are available everywhere. Big thumbs up from me!

First reaction to this perfume is spicy.
I feel the orange and the spicyness right at the beginning.
Then I can feel the cypress. The middle is a woody spicy scent and the dry down is powdery.
The actual bottle was a good idea, but I think the light actually makes it look cheap. It’s a bright blue light that clearly shines from the top

This is a big surprise to me because I have expected a clean yet sexy woody scent for dirty sweaty nights in the 21st century.
This truly soft, warm, woody, milky scent gives me more violets than I have expected but I am enjoying it. This is not a scent for girls but for women in their mid-thirties and up. The more I smell it the more it becomes a scent for daytime: rainy spring, Sunday’s newspaper, a stroll with the dog, tea time with his parents. To me it is less sexy but more sophisticated and composed. I kinda want to wear a light grey cashmere sweater and boat shoes now and have french breakfast by the coast somewhere. I smell late-1970s, Martha’s vineyard, Jackie O., briefcases and interesting playwright folk having a splendid time. Susan Sullivan should have been J.Lo’s postergirl for this scent. Or Lauren Hutton.

Warm, dry, woodsy, fringed with violets. All day when I wear this, I feel like I am smelling a forest in dry summer/early autumn. It’s really beautiful.
I was intrigued at first spray. Cypress, (smoky, dry) amber, violet, vetiver turns into an earthy and woody soft musk. Just a little spice is mingling in with sweet violets. The combo of notes evokes the thought of autumn leaves.
Warm, soft, calming and unique. The clean musk blends so beautifully with the woods and violet here to create a plush, soft quality.
Longevity is 8++hrs on me, (12+hrs.on clothes) and sillage medium. I think this perfume is a calming, mellow, feminine woodsy-floral. VERY different from Forever Glowing and leagues away from her hyper tropical fruit club hits. This is a keeper for thoughtful moods or cool days.
P.S.- to me, this has nothing in common with Glow.

JLO is great because she dares to get away from floral fruity exclusively. This isn’t sweet whatsoever. Matter of fact, a couple notes are typically masculine. I am not a female/male distinguisher in fragrance. You like it? You wear it is my opinion. This is a fume maybe better appreciated by someone who has a wider range in terms of what can be appreciated and even accepted in a perfume. Glowing is pretty rare and hard to find out there and I was happy to actually score a second 1 oz bottle for a very surprisingly reasonable price. At first I wasn’t sure I liked Glowing. Was a bit serious and even somber. I did like the lotion immediately but not so much the shower gel or fragrance. However, yesterday I wanted to apply something other than more Chanel No. 5 and thought Glowing might be a good choice. It was. I could actually appreciate Glowing much better with it playing a contrast to floral aldehydes. Not sure how much I’d wear this as the first layer of the day but even if it isn’t the star of the show it can definately be consdiered a candidate for ‘Best Supporting’ category. For me, it falls between my favorite Glowing Goddess and least favorite of the three, Forever Glowing (just not feeling pactchouli and toffee right now). I do take JLO to task but that is because her perfumes impress me More and More over time. I find myself regularly returning to them and only one of two of the Entire line (I tell the truth I own them all. All 28.) are duds. Give any JLO a chance and if you don’t like it right away chances are good you Will come back.

I am embarrassed to admit how much I like this. The ‘light up’ aspect of it when spraying to me is gimmicky, nothing more, nothing less for me. Bottle design is okay, could have been a prettier design, as this is quite a lovely perfume. I would rather have had a prettier bottle than one that lights up when sprayed, but that is neither here nor there, I suppose. I am surprised to see woody and powdery as the top main accords in this, as I do not detect much of a powdery note (I pick up on powdery notes right away, and they usually give me a gag type reaction or a headache). I definitely detect the citrus and the amber. To me this is a clean yet sexy, warm fragrance. Lasts on me all day. All in all it is a fairly safe perfume and good for year-round.

The review below is my review:
Glowing is a lovely clean, balmy powdery-woodsy scent that has quickly become my to-go scent over the past months. I love that it gives off that clean warm vibe without much sweetness; that makes it so versatile.bGlowing is to my nose fairly linear except that the powdery aspect recedes towards the dry down. I have to be very careful with cedar and sandalwood usually but here they are so well balanced with the other notes that I can really enjoy them. I have been wearing Glowing in the cooler months so far and have to see whether it changes in the approaching summer heat. I hope not. I really love this one and would like to be able to go for it whenever I want. Glowing is an absolute winner for me…
Edit: It’s a bit warmer now and Glowing is still glowing. It layers also exceptionally well with some of my other scents. Glowing is definitely the best buy I made this year – just awesome stuff! Love it…

As clean as this fragrance is supposed to be, there’s something unclean about it. Some comments below me mentioned the “dirty panty” note, and the skankiness.
I believe the musk and the fruits of Glowing bring out the natural, earthy aroma of a woman..like when we dance at clubs and begin to sweat, our body gives off that natural heated, musky pungent scent.. This also occurs while making love. That’s sexy.
And what I love about Glowing is that it’s not an invitation to a woman, like other fragrances. This is raw, real & NOW, Mother Nature nakedness, Eve making love to Adam.
Maybe that’s why Jlo is naked on the GLOWING advertisement. I wear this on humid nights, despite the reviews saying they wear Glowing in the daytime. Last about 8 hours on me..I love this juice.

Found a mini bottle at TJ Maxx (sadly, the mini does not light up) and am trying it for the first time, on a hot, humid, sticky day in Michigan.
I can see where this would be better suited to cooler weather, because it gives off a vibe of walking through the woods on a crisp, cool, sunny day. It’s clean, yet woodsy. I am really liking the cypress – I don’t believe I’ve encountered this particular note in anything I own. It’s got a very fresh character – it reminds me of freshly cut pine boughs.
Take a nice, hot shower, put on a cozy cream sweater and colorful scarf, and take a long, easy stroll in the woods on a gorgeous autumn day and wear Glowing. Very nice and unique!

I might be the odd one in saying that it doesn’t remind me of Glow at all (except for the fact that they both have a “clean” quality about them). I like them both, but I think I might like this one better. I tried this on at Kohl’s today. Initially, I thought it sounded promising because of the reviews (since I enjoy fresh/clean, out-of-the-shower scents); but when I first sprayed it, there was a note that worried me. Thankfully, it was fleeting. I recognized it from other perfumes that I could not wear in the past, so I was worried that I would be disappointed. The top notes went away as quickly as they came though! And it turned into an adult version of baby powder on me. Perhaps not “baby powder”, but rather, fancy & expensive powder you’d find on someone’s vanity—the kind with a puff that you dust all over yourself. The powdery dry down has lasted 3 1/2 hours on my skin. I honestly don’t mind reapplying perfumes–especially if they’re inexpensive. This was about $36 at Kohl’s, if I remember correctly, which is a little more expensive than I’d like it to be. But if money is no object, and you don’t mind reapplying every so often, AND you like powdery/clean scents, definitely give this a go!

As much as I really do love all of the notes in this one (and absolutely adore Glow as well as Eau de Glow), Glowing is a bit more on the synthetic side to me unfortunately. 🙁 I have tried and tried…and tried some more to wear this since I received it and sadly it has became a forced wear in a true attempt to have it grow on me (it has happened before?). Sadly it surprisingly is becoming one of my “do not like” list fragrances specifically and only due to the synthetic unpleasant scent it is from first spritz all the way to drydown.

For the longest time this was my #1 favorite perfume. It still remains my absolute favorite celebrity fragrance, and truly a go-to for me. It’s just beautiful. It retains a tiny bit of that soapy clean element that makes the original Glow so unique, but it’s much softer in this one. There’s a little bit of a floral tinge underneath what I perceive as a balmy, oily, and perhaps a little bit green or fresh sort of smell. Overall a nice, soft woody scent with a pleasant freshness to it. It’s very indulgent and luxurious to me; when I smell it I imagine candlelight and essential oils in opulent gold canisters. I love to wear this after a shower (the shower gel for this one is extremely woody, and it pairs beautifully with the perfume). The staying power is one of my favorite things about Glowing because the smell lingers on my clothes for several days after application. The gimmicky bottle isn’t my favorite thing in the world; the light inside is sorta cute I guess, and the overall design isn’t hideous, but I do think the contents belong in a much more beautiful glass to do the smell justice. Still, I consider this a signature scent of mine. I’ve already purchased 2 bottles of Glowing, and I’ll definitely continue to as long as I can find them!

  19. :

    3 out of 5

Wow, I love this! A dry, spicy violet/ cedar/sandalwood. The lime is barely detectable, but acts as a foil to keep the perfume from becoming to flat or dense; the same way you add a spritz of lemon to a meal to ‘brighten’ it up. Very heavy on the cedar/wood notes, so if that’s not for you, be warned!
Also, this bottle is much easier to use, IMHO. I can’t stand the Glow/Heat/Rebelle bottom heavy bottles with the long necks. I always feel like they’re going to slip out of my hand while spraying!

  20. :

I’m loving this perfume a lot since getting it last year!
I outright smell the violet mixed beautifully with hints of musk & cypress..just a very nice warm spicy floral!!
Sillage is moderate on me but the longevity is easily 6plus hours on me!!!!<3

  21. :

To me this is a very “green” fragrance, like cut celery. It does smell expensive, but I may use it as a base for a muguet type of floral.

  22. :

I love love LOVE this fragrance! WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND?!!?
I hate when that happens. 🙁 It’s so ironic because my first buy which was only in the last year or so…I wasn’t even looking for this fragrance, I just stumbled across it accidentally…and now that my bottle is over half gone and I’m HUNTING it down like a fox…I cannot find it anywhere except ebay. And that’s always a pain because it takes almost a week just for money to transfer to the paypal account. And even more ironic…JLO’s “Forever Glowing” doesn’t smell NEARLYYY as good or well-made as this one and it’s INCREDIBLY easy to find…and cheap.
Shame. Anyway…this fragrance is basically the amped up, exciting version of Glow. If anybody else thinks Glow smells alright, but is a total snooze-fest…try this one! Still has that soapy aspect to it, but it’s fruity, somewhat woody, almost kind of tangy…version of Glow. It smells absolutely amazing and SOOOO distinct! There’s NOTHING else out there that smells like this so I give major props to JLO and the perfumer(s) involved in making this one!
    Longevity – 5 hours
Projection – I get HUGE projection with this one. 6 feet or so.
    Overall Rating – 9/10. Possibly 9.5.
    SUCH clean, beautiful smell.
    Two thumbs up JLO!

A little bit like a softer Sensuous Nude with added violet. This has a slight vintage-y smell about it. I really like the gimmicky light up bottle too. One of the very few celeb scents that has impressed me.
Update: And I got complimented on it today too! That never happens!

Blind bought this on clearance at Target for $8, and I’m just going on memory, but this smells SO much like Elixir des Merveilles by Hermes. I’ll have to dig up my sample of EdM to see how close they are, but it seems very similar. Surely I can’t be the only person making this connection between the two?
Update: Okay so they’re only really similar in that they’re both ambery citric fougeres for women, which is to say that because there aren’t very many ladies fougere fragrances, they remind me of each-other. For this same reason, the Hermes reminded me of Tuca Tuca by Lush when I first tried it. Of course the Hermes is much more beautiful, but they are both in the same genre, so ladies looking for one might do well to sniff the other.

This is the only JLo perfume i dislike, but still bought it. Too much sandalwood, and i hate sandalwood

  26. :

    5 out of 5

Ok let’s talk about the cute gimmicky bottle first. I LOVE that it lights up when you spray it. It makes it FUN. Not to mention the scent inside is a real winner, especially since–let’s be honest, JLo cranks out A LOT of floral/fruity lightweight summery ones and hardly any that can be considered year-round, mature, gorgeous scents. This one is sexy and fun and cozy all at once—amber, violet, cypress, and a hint of musk are what I mostly get. There is some patchouli there but only to add a bit of spiciness to the mix. I am wishing I could detect the vetiver, but honestly I am ok with it the way it is. This was a blind buy, and very inexpensive, and really the best of all of her scents that I’ve tried. 5+ hours longevity on this one, as well. A+

  27. :

What a shame this is discontinued. While I am not a fan of celebrity perfumes in general, Glowing is a happy exception as it is decidedly NOT another boring syrupy fruity floral. It is sandalwood and amber together as I’ve not experienced them before. It actually lasts a good 4-6 hours on my skin, and this in summer heat while I am out walking dogs all day.
I find it a very sexy, warm and musky sandalwood that is enhanced exquisitely by amber. And for me, that is profound. Amber is not a favorite note of mine. But it is light enough here not to overwhelm and does not turn cloying. I am reminded everso faintly of Guerlain’s sandalwood and jasmine masterpiece, Samsara. This one’s a bit rougher, but that is not a bad thing at all. Earthier somehow, and all the better for it. JLo done good with this one and I keep haunting Marshall’s, Ross and TJ Maxx’s perfume shelves hoping another one materializes from the twilight zone. I have one whole and 1/4 bottle left.
And I rather enjoy the simple bottle that lights up. I feel like a little kid every time I spray it!

Glowing smells great. But it is feminine, despite the woodsy vibe, I cannot compare it one bit to Fahrenheit which is as masculine as they come, with its gasoline vibe!!
I am familiar with it as my brother wears it constantly ,Glowing is more like LILY by Stella Mac cartney, creamy, rounded, warm…definitely not a fruity scent. More mature, actually very stylish creation by J Lo, a total departure from her tropical usual scents

  29. :

    4 out of 5

I always adored Fahrenheit by Dior. Adored!
And since I’m no man and just won’t wear men’s cologne ( I just don’t do it)
I can’t be more happy to tell you guys (women) that THIS is Fahrenheit’s twin sister. Identical.
Except that one sister has a small ‘Marilyn mole’ on her left upper lip.
🙂 This is a good one.

Slightly powdery, green, soapyness, with a touch of vanilla. JLo Glowing is quite a clean scent…it definitely makes me think of soap bubbles.
The light-up bottle cracks me up–something that smells nice *and* brings a smile to my face? It’s a keeper!
Update: This fragrance absolutely shines in warmer weather. The woodier notes emerge and they are so cozy. Definitely retry Glowing when days are warmer, before you make up your mind.

  31. :

    4 out of 5

Powdery unique wood (cypress! evergreen and fresh) and musky.  Extremly long lasting but sits close to the skin.  There’s a skanky/dirtiness to it which just adds to its draw.  One of the best JLo scents, one of the best celeb scents!

  32. :

    4 out of 5

Starts off very clean and “natural.” Like that I want to smell good but don’t want to try to hard…..after while it starts smelling very grandma like. At least on my skin

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Picked this up last night and I must say it’s very different from the scents I’m used to from JLow. Very nice but not something I would wear during the day at work again. Powdery with a slight hint of vanilla but the violet does dominate this fragrance. Honestly one spray is enough and it lasts on me all day. A great scent for warm summer evenings.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

I guess I’m in the minority, but I love how the bottle lights up. To me, it smells like a less spicy, less intense version of Adam Levine for women. For me, it’s slightly more wearable than Adam Levine, probably because on me, I keep getting hung up on how spicy Adam Levine is(although I still wear it, and do think it’s underrated and gorgeous).
I read lots of reviews that think it’s a cashmere, and amber type scent, but for me, I didn’t find that to be especially true. I’m sure those notes are there in the background, but on me, they stay in the background, and it’s really the spice that takes front stage. I’d actually prefer more amber or cashmere to be present, and the spice to be in the background more. I’m liking this enough that I’m looking forward to trying Forever glowing. Also, I think Glowing might seem like more of a winter scent, and I don’t usually classify perfumes that way. I guess it sort of reminds me of a spicy Christmas cookie, or fall hay ride.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

Glowing by Jennifer Lopez is not a Glow flanker. It is a different fragrance entirely. So it shouldn’t smell like Glow.
I think things went a little haywire in previous reviews regarding this fragrance. It is a very lovely creation, as are several of J Lo’s fragrances I have tried.
Bergamot, mandarin, and orange blossom give this fragrance a citrus/floral center. That is intensified by sandalwood. Vetiver brings an herbal element. Amber simmers underneath creating a lovely, warm, golden aura. While it is not a listed note, the whole effect of these combined elements gives Glowing a delicate edible quality, like honeyed beeswax.
The bottle looks like a Roman pillar. The bottle lights up, which makes this unique. I could do with or without the lighting.
I own this and Forever Glowing. Golden Goddess is too hard to get these days, as it seems to be out of production.
I rate Glowing very highly. It is feminine, a little powdery, but mostly fruits and woods. And I have to agree with a previous review that it has an autumn feel to it.
I own two bottles just so I don’t run out. It is nothing at all like Glow. I hope they don’t discontinue this one.

  36. :

I really like wearing this for work. It’s soft, woody and very powdery. Even though it’s a light scent it has amazing lasting power. It’s not a flashy scent, more like a quiet achiever.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

After taking a few days to read these other comments / reviews I have come to the conclusion that I’m the one of the few people who like this scent. This is a very fall scent and seems to work very very very well on my skin. I wore this the day after I purchased it and it lasted about 8-9 hours. I love the box and to be honest the bottle is one of the best on my shelf. I mean what other celebrity has a perfume bottle that lights up ?!?! This gets a 7.5/10 from me x

  38. :

    4 out of 5

From a review earlier by 2746cstreet–they mentioned being reminded of a “dirty panty” note. I understand! The first half hour of wearing this, there is a scent females recognize as one similar to sitting for hours for a road trip in a hot car in tight cotton shorts stuck to leather seats. It is a very annoying smell. And then the dryout doesn’t get much better. It’s like the smelly girl sitting in the hot car tried to throw some baby powder over her lady parts to mask the “vag”rance. This perfume smells disgusting. My husband said the dryout smells like old lady.

    Oh,Jen,Jen,Jen.
How I love it when you REAllY focus and put your mind into something.
The notes harmonize perfectly with each other!!!
This is just one good perfume. SO not disturbing to the nose.
    Unbelievably sensual. NOT sexy….sensual. 🙂
    My next!!!!

Tiger lily, orange blossom, amber, and clean, clean mossy musk. For me, a like that blossomed into love. It is wonderfully earthy. I love how it never gets close to being too sweet. And I get a trace of Queen Helen Cocoa Butter, another pretty scent.
Sensuous Nude is much much sweeter to my nose.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

For a refreshingly woody scent (it has Cypress, vetiver, cassia), it is sweet in the wrong way. Which is to say, it has violet and African Orange flower, which don’t tend to smell good in anything. Keeping that in mind, Glowing doesn’t smell bad as much as off. I get the comparison to Sensuous Nude. Glowing smells as fresh as a fir tree and the sweetness is a bit stuffy (violet).
However, J.Lo tends to produce some of the better celebrity scents (her other ones, that is). And this is not an unimaginative composition, either.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

I do understand why the makers of Glowing are holding it up as a “evolution of glow” – both fragrances are what I’d describe as fresh & clean – but don’t confuse that as meaning that the two fragrances are going to be the same. They aren’t – Glow is bolder and is ‘clean’ as in meaning soapy, whereas Glowing is closer to the skin and is ‘clean’ as in meaning uncluttered.
Glowing is great for when I don’t want to wear overwhelmingly sweet, spicy, smoky or powerful floral perfume, but still want to wear a nicely structured, long lasting fragrance. Glowing avoids the fruit punch aspects that are common in the J.Lo perfumes so comes of as more adult in comparison, and makes me feel more put-together and polished but not overdone.
Whilst I wouldn’t say I love Glowing, I do like it and wear it regularly, so am likely to buy it again (as long as I find it as cheap as I did this time).

Strong cashmere and musky note lasts for ages I do really enjoy how it can light up, you don’t have to if you spritz lightly though… a fun perfume very strong though…Not my favourite but I am thinking wear would I wear this? Perhaps an Autumn evening….I do not know have never worn it out yet..
it’s neither sweet nor floral to me just aromatic musk and cashmere…

This for me wasn’t love at first sniff but now that my bottle is almost finished, I can say that I really like this scent. It’s very calming and peaceful. For some reason I think of meditation when I have this on.:)
It doesn’t smell cheap, it’s very good quality and quite unique in my opinion.

That should be ‘forgotten’ not ‘forfotten’. Proof reading skills may slip over the years as you can see!

Vicitoria, why resort to maligning senior citizens in your comment? Are we, as women, so frightened of the aging process that we would rather be dead than become a smelly old lady? My mother is 98 years old and she has never “smelled” bad. Why do we do this to one another? Women do not go bad like some forfotten leftover in the fridge and start to stink up the planet after the age of 40.
My chemistry does not play well with this one or Deseo or any of her Live ones either but like them on others.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

There’s something slightly skanky in Glowing that I just can’t quite put my finger on. I don’t believe it’s the musk so I think it may be the amber. It’s what I call the “dirty panty” note.
Aside from that I mostly smell violets, but not of the candied variety, definitely floral. I’m also picking up a fair amount of orange blossom in the background.

This perfume is so lovely. THE creamiest fragrance I have ever smelled. The opening worried me a little the first time I sprayed it, I thought the citrus would turn sour, but it is gone so quickly. What comes next is so soft yet strong, creamy, sweet without being sickening. All the notes work together in such beautiful harmony to create an enticing aroma, with no trace of the typical”perfumey”
Smell most perfumes have. The drydown is woody, without being masculine. So clean. Most celebrity perfumes smell stale after about an hour, cheap. Not this one. Very long lasting, and a high quality. The bottle has a nice shape, easy to hold when I spray. The spritz come out nicely. My only complaint is the light. So cheezy and stupid I can’t even handle it.
I have had this for as while, and I have to add a few thoughts. The dry down has been really funky lately. Like stale body smell. So, i have to take back what i said before, it is a celebrity perfume that smells cheap. It just takes a little longer than most to get there. Tried to use this as a air freshener in my car to see if it was my skin that was not agreeing with it. Now my car smells like beautiful spice, and stale body. Gross! I would definitely advise anyone to try this as a tester as much as you can before you invest in it.

This perfume is gorgeous, lily of the valley, cassia flower, cashmere musk, sandalwood and violet all stand out on my skin, so refreshing and clean, have had many compliments and I love the fact the bottle illuminates when spraying on, it lasts a long time and value for money, I bought this because of the good reviews on FRAGRANTICA, thanks

This a great copy of those heavier 90’s, to be precise late 8o’s and early 90’s Samsara’s and Dunes and Tresor’s. All copies themselves of Fantasme. etc..
I need to vary my fragrance wardrobe. I like value for money. Sure the bottle is gimmicky. I wish I hadn’t removed the battery strip. As I am pedantic on how I store and keep my Fragrances. Bit wary of the light’s effect on the shelf life of the product. Mind you archaeologist’s ate 3 thousand year old cheese found in terracotta vases stored in caves in the desert. So Perfume ought to keep that long too. For when I want a bolder statement. This is perfect. Specially if it’s layered with musk and bergamot. It’s not that bad. For some reason I detach myself with associations of celebs and their representations of fragrances, as it’s the noses that create them not the identity associated with it. The fragrance is marketed under the Celebrities name. Not a representation of how they themselves smell. You make a fragrance yours on how you choose to incorporate it into your couture.
Glowing surprised me. I like it, and it’s not easy for me to like these styles of fragrances.
    Cheers T.

Being inclined to white floral accords, and as a first-time tester of a woody scent, this smelled really weird to me on paper and I didn’t even prioritize testing this on skin until after almost a year. However, with Glow being my all-time fave, plus Sunkissed Glow on my want list for a few years before I got it just a few months ago, and with My Glow being a successful blind buy and Love & Glamour being a just okay blind buy, I thought, why not give this stinker a try since all the other J Lo’s I’ve tried so far seem to agree with my body chem? (The discounts I got them at agree with my pocketbook too. 🙂 )
After having this sprayed on my forearm, there was that strong weird smell again. The perfume left a shiny patch of oil on my skin where it was sprayed, so I predicted this was gonna be long-lasting. In fact, it outlasted 4 other scents I had tested at the same time. What’s strange is, while I was “re-smelling” the scents on my arm, I felt drawn to this weird woody scent and kept sniffing.
If this is what a woody scent like cypress smells like, then Glowing has definitely made a proper introduction; and I’d be encouraged to try more woody scents in future. And I would get Glowing too at a discount. 😉

Ho-hum and weak. She has such a large, vibrant personality that I had hoped for more. Plus the glowing bottle gimmick is a little below her.

As much as I love Jennifer Lopez fragrances I just can’t get into this one. I have tried it many times and it just doesn’t agree with me. While it seems that everyone else gets the cypress and sandalwood, all I get is a very powdery violet. This violet is in the same vein of Ellen Tracy’s Bronze, another fragrance that is very popular and well liked. If you are a big fan of violet then this perfume is right up your alley. I would say definitely test before you buy. Glowing is a no-go for me.

This is the poor-gals Tam Dao or Hermes JeM. It opens cypress-sandalwood with soft underlying floral which develop into some slightly soapy powdery notes. It conjures to mind a courtyard garden lined with cypress with walls covered in soft pink flowers. Like all these woody feminine perfumes I find it’s scent rather addictive.
The silage/projection is moderate and the longevity is between 5 and 7 hours on my skin.
The bottle design with the light is a little tacky, but the shape of the bottle is classic looking and not unattractive.

I really, really like this one, it’s lovely. It reminds me of clean skin, in the same family of Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, but more like a 2nd cousin once removed. It’s soft, powdery, I detect incense especially if I apply a generous amount, and it’s anything but overbearing. It’s hard to overdo (not that I’m suggesting anyone drown themselves in it) but seems to last w/a hint of scent for hours. Overall I’d purchase it again. 4 out of 5 stars for me :).
By the way, I wouldn’t regard this as unisex or masculine, I find it very feminine just a touch soapy which a lot of people associate with unisex/guy fragrances.
