Waterlily, citrus, jasmine and musk is what I get, and a really slight fruit impression which is probably guava. No hyacinth on my skin though, not even remotely! I defo would notice hyacinth. To me it’s slighty reminiscent of some of the EA Green Tea flankers, although I couldn’t say I find a tea note here.
It doesn’t last as long as the other Giorgios on me, but I think this is the most summery of all of them so hence the difference. It’s pleasantly light and fresh, doesn’t remind me if Davidoff Cool Water Woman at all – that fragrance has a note that makes me retch..- but it is probably a similar type of scent on the whole..There is a slight synthetic feel to it in the beginning that disappears almost completely after 10 minutes or so and then it’s enjoyable. Anyone who likes fresh aquatic scents won’t say no to this one. If you find it a good price grab it, it’ll be handy on hot summer days!

This is a fresh, aquatic. I would not say it is very original, but a great splash on for work shopping or any casual wear.
Though I do like, it, I will probably not repurchase simply because it is not interesting enough, even at a low price.

I am so confused; I ordered this off of fragrancenet’s website and on their website it says 2008 formula..but the bottle I received does not have the cute little sun-shaped pendant. The bottle they sent me looks like the 2016 formula, and even says “new packaging”..So, I have deduced the one I have received is this newer formula, being there is no sun-shaped pendant.
That all out of the way; this is pretty simple, basic, clean, fresh, daytime scent. An aquatic type of scent, for sure!! I do find the floral (hyacinth) can possibly be a little bit screechy at times, but basically is a clean fresh aquatic airy type of scent….I think this one is particularly great for heat and humidity, if you are looking for that type of thing. No wild changing of notes as the day goes on; what you smell when you first spray this is basically how this smells all day. At least that is my finding.
Moderate projection/sillage and longevity will get you through the entire day, and on laundry day you will likely still pick up whiffs of this off of the item of clothing you wore this with.

First: This is NOT a “fruity floral” but, in fact, very irrefutably an AQUATIC Floral. The fruit notes in GBH Blue play nominal, supporting roles at best and in no way define the group that this should have listed in (AQUATIC Floral). Those who do not LIKE Aquatic Florals probably shouldn’t try this one.
Aquatic Florals tend to be polarizing; I love them but will not judge others who do not, even in the face of scathing, unmerited insults from those who are incapable of appreciating them.
Waterlily and hyacinth both behave beautifully on my skin and this fragrance is a perfect example of that.
Giorgio Beverly Hills (as a house) is extremely under-rated and this fragrance is a prime example.
I see the comparison to Acqua di Gio and, yes, there’s a similar vibe; that’s not to say that this one is a dupe of smell’s like Armani’s AdG, but the two are definitely cousins, with, I think, Davidoff’s Cool Water being closer to a sibling of GBH Blue; Cool Water’s big sister, that is: more complex, more sophisticated, prettier, better quality. Cool Water is gorgeous but doesn’t last or project worth beans on me whereas GBH has all of those qualities in spades. Let’s just say that if Cool Water and GBH Blue entered the gladiator ring, Blue would be the victor in moments. (These are the thoughts we crazy people have, anyway).
Scent: 9/10. LOVE for me, this is absolutely gorgeous.
Longevity: Moderate to unbelievably long, as is customary with releases from this house.
    Sillage: Moderate; enormous if overapplied.
Overall: 9/10 and the Price is Right on this, you’ll find it online (at least, US sites) delivered to you all day long for about $20, usually with free shipping.
This is a high-quality fragrance, available to most, which is my favorite combination in a fragrance (quality + affordability) which is hallmark of the entire house and has been for decades.
Giorgio Beverly Hills’ Blue is absolutely signature-scent worthy.
If you know that you like aquatic/ marine fragrances, this would be a safe blind buy. If you despise this type of fragrance, this one will be no exception.

I’m very disappointed with this one. Sniff from the bottle and you get acetone. After that on skin, just a cheap mish mash of a floral-like smell and then a musky dry down (the best part).
If you’re looking for complexity, depth or excitement, this is not the perfume you are looking for.
It makes me sad that this is on the market as a come back kid….let it die already…..

@gazelle and anitaoolong: This is a re-launch of the 2011 fragrance, but it has the same notes. Maybe as a part of the handover to EA?
Lovely fresh fragrance that should def be tested by Acqua di Gio lovers and these type of fragrances. The water lily adds an aquatic touch while the musk, oak moss and wood keep it from becoming to “airy”. This house really deserves more credit.

Can’t believe it was launched in 2016. I own a bottle at least four years old. It is a very light fragrance but I love the aquatic accord. I’d like to know what driftwood smells like. Have picked up safe looking pieces on beach but never identified a scent, except maybe dried salt.

Is this really a new fragrance? It seems to have the same notes as the original Giorgio Blue.
