Gingerbread scents are usually cosy and spicy-warm. This one doesn’t smell like gingerbread to me. It smells alien and strange somehow, like if you mixed gingerale with a glass of milk. It explores an almost animalic, “pee after a rich meal” facet of ginger that I haven’t really seen before in perfumery. There’s also an odd burnt-maple-leaf note in the background (perhaps a failed attempt at a “toasted bread” note, or perhaps intentional). Curious. Not bad, just curious.
