This is a feel good gourmand ginger fragrance perfect for Christmas. That being said on me it’s a bit too sugary and sweet, very much like a sugar cookie on steroids. I get the sugar notes and the vanilla on my skin but the atomic sillage is overpowering and I can’t stand it on me. On me. But in the air as a house room spray or bad odor concealing scent, it’s wonderful. It’s great for spraying the air when you have guests for a Christmas party.
Plus side: Smells good! Sweet gingerbread cookies fresh out of the oven. The sweetness of the cookies is nostalgic for me. Reminds me of walking into mom’s kitchen in Tennessee and catching whiffs of the cookies she made for Christmas Eve. These are the cookies I would leave in the living room by the door on a table for Santa Claus to help himself and to thank him for the presents. This fragrance is all spices – cinnamon, cloves, vanilla, cardamom, ginger. The cinnamon is present in the heart of the scent and it blends well with the ginger and the vanilla is there in the end. Just a lot of sweet smells, festive, a Christmas party. A true gourmand frag.
Downside: it’s a linear fragrance meaning it doesn’t have complexity or substance. It smells exactly the same from the moment you spray it to the moment it disappears. It doesn’t last very long either so one has to reapply multiple times. So even if you spray it in the air you have to know where to spray it if you want your guests to smell it even if it lasts for a short time. This is suited to the living room or hallway nearest the kitchen if you want people to believe there’s cookies baking in the oven even when they’re not. This is a sweet unisex vanilla based cinnamon spice scent that works great as an aroma therapy or home fragrance. Don’t knock it. Try it.
Merry Christmas

Nope, not a ginger cookie. Smells like Christmas potpourri–pleasing, but not edible

It smells like a true ginger cookie but more with a slight note of bitterness and fat rather than burnt sugar, which I love so much. Its longevity is relatively good as for an EDC, especially when sprayed on hair.

It definitely smells like a bakery, with a warm wheat scent. There’s a good deal of ginger too, but I feel as though there isn’t enough sugar to make it a cookie. Maybe a muffin or something less sweet. Delicious though.

I agree with sweaterfreak. This scent was nice, but not a ginger cookie. It was more dry, and less sweet. It smelled more like the spice than a bakery item. I was hoping for a yummy, sweet, cookie scent, but that’s not what I got. I was planning on layering it but I think the spice is a little more than I wanted and so I probably wouldn’t want to overpower my other scents with such a strong note of ginger. If you like spicy ginger, this might be your thing, but the longevity isn’t that great.

I am on the fence with this one. At first blast, I was thinking this fragrance was everything that I wished Philosophy The Gingerbread Man would smell like (that one is all ginger and no baked aspect), and for the most part it is. Not quite gingerbread cookies but maybe a pan of gingerbread you need to cut into like a cake. However, I find this to lack a sense of sweetness therefore making this a tad too sharp for me and almost a touch masculine.
This is definitely a ginger spice more than a ginger cookie…add a little frosting element, and maybe it would appeal to me more. It is a stronger Demeter with lasting power of about 3-4 hours or more. Definitely more in the home fragrance olfactory category, but nice for a spicy change during fall or winter.

Cute fragrance, that is if you want to smell like a cookie. It smells distinctly of Gingerbread men. Is a cute scent, but one spritz is all you need. I think you’d be better to just spritz your clothing and call it a day as the scent is strong and definately lasts.
