My sample of Sage Machado Garnet perfume oil smells just like labdanum amber, so I was expecting Garnet & Amethyst to smell pretty much the same because amber and perfume carrier oils tend to shroud anything else with which they appear.
What a surprise to find that there is a mighty dose of violet in this composition! This is really quite flowery and a lovely bouquet at that.
Perhaps I misunderstood the concept here. Is this supposed to be made up of one-half Garnet and one-half Amethyst? Well, whatever it’s supposed to be, it smells appealing to this violet lover! I also smell lilac. A nice bunch of purple flowers!
