Fumee Toxique is a very sophisticated creation by Francois Deli perfumes. It begins with the most natural and persistent violet note I have ever encountered. A beautiful, luxurious ambergris note follows with rich woods. The drydown finishes in about eight hours – when it resloves into an incredible leathery scent, tender, rich and slightly melancholy. Sillage reminds me of the great perfumes of Creed of twenty years ago, pointing to the quality and painstaking preparation of this house. Packaging is immaculate and tasteful. Perfection.
