Description

Love2Love is a new fragrance collection coming out on Valentine’s Day, 14th February of 2014. The collection consists of four fragrances, each of which combines two dominant notes. Those fragrances are: Fresh Rose + Peach, Jasmine + Sparkling Mimosa, Freesia + Violet Petals and Orange Blossom + White Musk. The collection has been announced as “a spectrum of colors that express a woman’s joy and sheer happiness”.

Fresh Rose + Peach is a scent of long lasting happiness and optimism. It opens with fruity notes of peach juice, lychee and black currant buds. The heart consists of geranium and Bulgarian rose oil, laid on the warm base of musk and orris root.

Bottles come in the colors of lavender, orange, pink and green. The fragrances are available as 100 ml Eau de Toilette plus 240 ml Body Mist.
The nose behind this fragrance is Calice Becker.

I just recently got the Rose + Peach and have only used it twice, but so far, I like it. I need to use it a few more times before I decide whether it’s a “like” or “love” and whether I would consider repurchasing it once done.
When I first sprayed it, I smelled something almost medicinal. That might be the rose, which can be a tricky note to pull off in a lot of perfumes.
But once I allowed it to dry down, the result was something soft and beautiful– I can definitely smell the rose and peach in the opening.
I finally know what lychee smells like from a different brand of lotion I own, and while it’s not my favorite note, it works in this fragrance.
The musk is quite present in the dry down but is clothed in the rose. That’s what I love about this fragrance. Becker did an excellent job with blending these notes such that they work so well together. While the rose is prominent, it’s complimented/carried by everything else. They’re right when they say this scent evokes joy. While the optimism and joy I feel are much higher with the Freesia and Jasmin, the Rose puts me in a pretty upbeat mood as well.
This line works/performs better on freshly washed and moisturized skin. The longevity will also be better if you layer it with a different fragrance that has similar notes, provided you use one scent on your skin and the other on your clothes.
I typically never reapply my other fragrances on my skin, since body chemistry changes throughout the day may (negatively) transform the way the fragrance smells.
With this line, I am perfectly confident with respraying on my skin. They don’t change much from the initial spray, so there are no concerns about the notes changing to become something acrid or migraine-inducing.
This Rose + Peach is soft/light enough to use in office environments or around people who are sensitive to fragrances. It’s sweet but not sickening– though I do caution that using a heavy hand may lead to that sickening- sweet-headache-causing smell.
I have all the scents in this line. So far, the Freesia and Jasmin are my favorite and would repurchase without thinking twice. Much as others seem to love it, the Bluebell is a huge let-down and a “no” for me and while I will finish it, I wouldn’t repurchase it. The Orange Blossom is more likable once it dries down, but I doubt I’d repurchase it.

I luckily ran across this in my local drug store in the clearance bin for $5.00. I had to blind buy it because there was no tester, but I figured for only $5.00, I didn’t have a lot to lose if I really couldn’t stand it. Happily, I don’t hate it at all. My nose detects very little peach or any of the listed notes – except for the rose. I am happy about that because I LOVE rose fragrances but my hubby doesn’t like them. This one is the perfect compromise – very mild, very low silage, so I can enjoy its beautiful rose and it doesn’t bother my hubby at all. This one is completely safe for the office. It could easily be a good choice for a very young lady’s first frag, and equally appropriate for an older lady who loves the scent of roses. Very versatile fragrance, and I’m so glad I risked the $5.00!

I really am enjoying this scent. I discovered it at Walgreen’s last summer and was surprised how good it smelled and how inexpensive it was. To me, it is sunny and fresh. I’m just loving the lychee/rose/peach combination. This fragrance doesn’t change much after application, but that’s a plus. I spotted gift sets of this on clearance at Walgreen’s after the holidays and stocked up, thinking I could sell some of them on Ebay if I got bored with this scent but I don’t believe I ever will. The body spray and lotion are equally fabulous. I have tried all of the other combinations in this series and this is one of my favorites.

Like SophiaJ, I tried this out in Walmart and really liked it. I kept sniffing my hand, where I had sprayed a bit, to see if it was going to develop that unknown scent that gives me a sick headache, and it never did. (I think the guilty party is white florals, but I don’t know for sure.) It smells sweet but not cloying, and there’s a complexity somewhere that keeps it from smelling like a little girl’s perfume to me. But I don’t get any particular rose or musk scent, and Heaven knows what lychee smells like because I sure don’t. This is just a delicious, light scent that compels me to keep drinking it in, deeply, savoring it, never getting tired of it or overpowered by it. I’m going to wear it as a summertime alternative to Emeraude, my signature scent.

I bought Love2Love “Fresh Rose + Peach” today and its beautiful. It is a fresh fruity-floral, rose, peach, orris root, currant buds, musk and I daresay I was going to add vanilla but checked the notes and realized it has none. I really love this fragrance which was made to represent enduring love and happiness, thank you Calice Becker of Giavaudan, you did make this perfume with joy and love in mind!
It exceeds my expectations for an edt and at $29TT for $100mL in that lovely bottle with the rose petal cover, its really special. The scents starts right off and its not drowned in alcohol like other edts and edp fragrances. I get most of the nuances – the fresh tropical litchi and peach, the rose, green currant buds and clean powdery orris root and musk at the dry down. A gem, really – a literal gift!

I received a bottle of this from my Mum while she was on holiday in the United States two years ago. It is not avaliable here in New Zealand yet so I am not sure when I will see another bottle again. Mum was on the look out for a fragrance that I had seen in a Seventeen magazine called Love’s Baby Soft for me but could not find it (I was intrigued to find out what it would smell like) and she bought this instead.
This fragrance is very peachy, its fresh and pretty and dries down to a nice sort of musky rose fragrance on me. It does not stay on for very long or maybe its because I cannot smell it but it is a nice subtle fragrance without being too overpowering.
Funnily enough while my parents were away I found a bottle of the fragrance that I had seen in the magazine as a teenager and bought it just out of curiosity and it works nicely with this fragrance making it a slightly soapy smell and enhances the longevity of the Love2Love.

My second fave of the four after the Orange Blossom. Rosy with exotic fruit and tropical blooms. Fresh and lush.

I don’t personally feel that this has a synthetic tone to it. I received this as a ‘hand me down’ from my aunt. She used it a couple of times… and when I visit, she always puts together a bag of cosmetic items that she just doesn’t use/need/want any longer. It’s always fun to visit her! Anyway… this was in the bag, and I have worn it throughout the week as a fun scent. It doesn’t have staying power- but it dries down to a soapy clean scent. I’m OK with that. I like it for an easy scent that I can just spritz down after taking a shower and head out to run errands. I don’t think I would purchase it – but I won’t throw it out, either.

I bought this and the 2 other scents when I saw them at Walmart a couple months ago. This one is my favorite and it’s a great light scent for spring/summer. It’s really fabulous though when you layer Kim Kardashian’s Pure Honey over it…*love*. It brings this to a whole new dimension and it’s super yummy! Will do this combo a lot this spring.

Sweet, with a very saccharine rose water and artificial peach scent. Definitely has strong litchi notes once it dries. It doesn’t seem to last very long, but is cute, sweet, feminine, and has a light airy feeling to it. Overall, the sweetness can initially feel overpowering, but it dries to feel much lighter.

This scent is very ladylike. It’s gentle and sweet without being cloyingly so. This is definitely a scent for the office, church or dinner with your mom. It isn’t particularly sexy or mysterious, but it really does suit someone who is quietly feminine. You know the type. Beautiful without makeup, well-maintained nails without too much paint, sweet and unassuming…. Okay, now I need to go give this perfume to my best friend because that’s her to a tee! Sorry, went overboard. While I do like this, I probably will only wear it on days when I don’t really feel like wearing much perfume because that girl is really not me. I’m currently in love with amber and spice.

I will say right off the bat, it’s a pretty sweet perfume. On me, I smell lychee immediately and after a while it fades to mix of lychee and peachs. The rose is a little harder to smell but it’s there, more of a background scent.
I think this perfume lasted at least 5 to 6 hours on me, and is sweet but inoffensive. Really just a nice, sweet and mildly girly scent. I think it’s perfect for spring and summer.
I must also note that this is also my most complimented perfume, several guy friends said it smelled “damn good” while another friend told me to step closer so she could keep smelling it.

I was very curious about this new line and I went out and bought all 4 fragrances. I had the most hopes for Roses & Peach. It smells feminine, light and inoffensive but it was very blah. It smells like kind of rosy but more generic floral with a little sweetness from the peach. It doesn’t last long. If you’re looking for fresh roses and peaches, I would recommend Fabulous by Isaac Mizrahi.

Personally, I found this fragrance to be light and refreshing – an almost perfect balance of rose and peach. This rose is nothing at all like Perfumer’s Workshop Tea Rose, which is so strident on many of us. Instead we have here a well mannered, fresh, and proper rose.
My taste in rose veers more towards lush Florientals or Powdery and old fashioned. Rose + Peach seems a little too cool and simple for my preferences, but would be ideal for many. I found it most refreshing on a dreary February day, nonetheless!
For once, a fragrance that IS what it advertises itself as being… I simply smell NOTHING BUT rose and peach. Good job, Coty. 🙂

I tried this out at Walmart yesterday. Apparently they are a Walmart exclusive as of now. This smells heavy on the roses, with a hint of sweetness. Not a distinct peach note in there, but very nice and pleasant nonetheless. Reminded me a lot of Chloe. The lasting power was quite weak though, I could only smell it for about an hour after appyling. I’d recommend layering this with their body spray to get it to last longer.
Seems like it would be a great, inoffensive scent for the office!
