I was smelling this on a seller in the market in torremolinos and fall in love. Of course i was asking her what was it , she told me jovan and i bought it . It was so cheap about 25 $.
Good memories so sad it discontinued

I remember this standing on the shelf of my favorite drugstore that was around most of my life until the owner retired and now there’s some Asian Restaurant instead:-/
Anyway, the bottle always intrigued me and I remember smelling it just once and not really falling in love with it – the scent was all too much for me for those times – at that time I was rather after stuff like Chanson d’Eau and Puzzle by Coty. What I do recall though, was some “jungle” scent – really opulent, warm, damp and mysterious. I’d love to be able to smell it once more.

Glad to see it here, finally. I discovered it in the 90s, just before they discontinued it and I’ve been looking for it or for a perfume similar to it since. I was lucky I found a few bottles for sale on eBay and grabbed them straight away, I’ll try to use them occasionally, so they don’t run out quickly.
I’m so obsessed with that perfume I tried to recreate it several times, I picked up on the bergamot, the musk and some rose scent, but I couldn’t get the correct ratio. I’ll try again, now that the exact notes are listed here.
Coty usually make their perfumes similar to popular brand perfumes, if anyone knows what perfume Jovan Fresh Musk was made after, please do tell.

You can’t imagine how long I’ve been waiting for this one to appear here in the Fragrantica database. This was my first real signature scent around the age of 20 – that is, 18 years ago. I was so frustrated when they discontinued it! I had no clue about the notes, so I’m really glad they are listed here. However, what I recollect from the scent, it was partly a fresh fruity tea fragrance, partly something earthy, wet and mossy, just like the soil and the vegetation after the rain.

My mom had it at the beginning of the 90’s. I loved it. The notes here, I think, are not correctly listed.
It opened with a huge watery-acuatic blast, so fashionable in the 90’s, very much in the Eau d’Issey, Acqua de Gio, Cool Water Davidoff style, and so. Then came a very fleeting heart of indistinct flowers, but I would say that there was some jasmine and violet among them. The base notes were the classical of Jovan Musk, exactly the same. Good sillage and projection. Good lasting power, and a beautiful bottle. The unexpensive price was price was another good thing.
Another good perfume that they discontinued very soon, for reasons unknown to me.
