Frangipani perfume is part of the historic collection of the house and was created in 1940. Having the original composition, Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone was able to reproduce a classic in all its glory.
The Frangipani flower (plumeria) has very similar nuances to those of jasmine. The one of pink color has creamier facets, as if it received a touch of vanilla; the white, presents a fruity facet and, for this reason, this flower is also known by us, Brazilians, as jasmim-manga (mango-jasmine).
To portray the perfume of Frangipani, nothing better than working with nuances of jasmine. And this fragrance brings not only the jasmine, but also the orange blossom and ylang-ylang, in its opening. The heart carries vetiver and patchouli and the base is made with cassis and vanilla.
Frangipani is not the type of fragrance of much evolution. From the moment it touches the skin, its floral aspect is narcotic, really addictive. It is a high quality floral chipre, made in Eau de Parfum concentration and that has high projection. Only a few sprays are enough to perfume for hours.
Taking aside the majestic output, the only note that stood out on my skin was the cassis, which imparted a slight fruity and acidic content to the fragrance.
For those who like fragrances with nuances of ylang-ylang and jasmine, Frangipani by Lili Bermuda is a wise choice.
