As a Chinese and be familiar with several types of green tea – fresh leaves, dried leaves or well-brewed leaves and juice, I have to say, with regret, this one is GREEN but NOT GREEN TEA.
And for my taste, it is more spicy & warm than others mentioned as cooling & fresh – just like the ray of late spring sun penetrates through tree branches underneath which you are having a cup of green tea and burns a little on your bare skin. You can detect easily in the air there is the lovely greeny smell of trees and grass, and very very slightly does the steam of green tea involve. My greater regret is this perfume is a little bit synthetic – a little bit like the residual scent of some green tea shower gel/shampoo. Hard to say it smells good or bad, but not classy enough for sure.
It is not a “cologne” I would crave for nor it is an amazing green tea, however, it is fine and worth trying, taking the price into account.

I like this version of “green tea” much better than Elizabeth Arden’s, which in my opinion is too harsh, a little too complicated and if I may say even “rude”. Yves Roche”s Greet Tea is so fresh, citrusy, green, young hearted..yes, it is simple and maybe one-dimensional but sometimes the simplest things are the best. I just Love this one! I’v used 2 or 3 bottles of it ad would buy it again in a heartbeat. Just perfect for summer! Not sure about the comments that say it doesnt last long, on me it lasts quite long and the fresh scent remains throughout
EDIT: it seems they have changed the formula :(( I smelled what seemed to me the same bottle in the Yves Rocher shop the other day and it smells absolutely nothing like it did few years ago. Sad 🙁

On the box is written, it is a fraicheur with camelia sinensis – extract from green tea. I only know, how green tea tastes as hot tea and never had a fresh leaves in the hand to press it for smelling the fresh leaf. For my nose it smells like citrus with grass. Pleasant for hot summer, for sure.

Very fresh and lemony. I can smell grass in this.

This is a very nice green tea scent, that fits its category “fraîcheur végétale” perfectly. It’s very green and herbal, a bit grassy even. Natural green tea, but not so realistic that it becomes bitter; sweetened up a bit by the citrus notes that are otherwise barely noticeable, it becomes just that bit more perfume-like that makes it wearable.
Of course it hasn’t got much depth to it, it’s not sophisticated; but that would be the wrong thing to expect from something in this category, and it definitely isn’t immature either. The longevity isn’t great either, maybe an hour or two, but that’s not too bad for a light cologne, and it makes it perfect as a summertime pick-me-up in the morning or after work, before putting on something else.
Conclusion: this is very good value for the low price; definitely recommended if you’re into straightforward green tea scents!

I had it and I became so tired of it that I started to dislike it. It’s so one-dimensional. And it lasted only an hour or so on me.

If you like green tea – it’s for you. Actually, I don’t. Not bad, even refreshing, but not long-lasting.

    Rejuvination in a bottle!!!
I had the shower gel version of this scent and I loved it. It is a green tea / ozonic kind of scent. It is refreshing and clean…something that makes you feel like you have just had your morning coffee. There is not much else to say about it as it is a simple fragrance.

it doesn t lasts but it’s a nice smell, fresh – unisex

Yves Rocher bill this fragrance as unisex, but I find it has a dry, slightly bitter edge. Almost like tannins from tea or the bitterness of grapefruit. All this results in a masculine aroma. Others have compared it to Elizabeth Arden Green tea, but that has soft musks and some sweet floral notes totally absent from this

This is definitely Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea with much cheaper price!

I still have a bottle of this that I bought in the 90’s because I didn’t like it nor did my sister, mother or anyone else.

I’m sorry but I have to be honest… I don’t really like this scent. It smells too green. Like leaves and stuff. I like spicy or fruity scents more.

For a few years this was my go-to summer fragrance. Light, fresh, perfect for humid weather. It’s all about the tea with just the tiniest hint of citrus to make it interesting. Plus you get a huge bottle of the stuff (which is nice, because the smell is quite light and doesn’t last very long so more than my usual one spritz was needed.)
After a while of wearing it, however, maybe my body chemistry changed, but I just couldn’t stand it anymore. It smelled sharp, almost bitter (like over-brewed tea) on my skin, and so we had to part ways.
I do recommend it to anyone looking for a delicate summer scent. It’s very light, not at all in-your-face. If you don’t feel like picking up the bottle right off the bat, try the shower gel. You can get it for around $3-$4 on promotion and it is a fairly accurate representation of the scent.

The green tea scent of this cologne is amazing – fresh, green, natural with only hint of citrus notes. Tea note is very distinctive which I love because I’m a tea “drunker” since I was a child. However longevity of this scent is ridiculously short. I know it’s a cologne, but I think it should last on my skin for about 1-2 hours, and it doesn’t even last for 15 minutes. I just don’t get it – what is the purpose of making such a short lasting fragrance? For example I can sniff from myself Cedre Bleu from the same series for about 4-5 hours. If it only could last longer I wouldn’t need anything else in my perfume wardrobe:(

Definitely natural! So green, so fresh, but so soft as well, only last about 45 minutes.
Love this line of Yves Rocher, I love the Bamboo the most

A green tea scent has always been a “must have” for me. I tried several types and brands, but I stick to this one whenever I crave for some freshness in the heat. E. Arden’s Green Tea might be a more subtle and layered fragrance (much more ingredients), but I can only smell it for the first few minutes. Then gone. This one stays on for much longer.

Very green, clean and closest thing to Green Tea I ever come across. There is no citrus nor anything else exciting going on here either (I actually get more citrusy zing from Elizabeth Arden Green Tea). It’s just straight-up Green Tea to your indulgence. Perfect for aromatherapy, but nothing more. I actually love it more as a shower gel.

Fraicheur Vegetale The Vert is very green scent. I smell very grassy green tea in here. Not my kind of a scent.

Grassy, fresh, linear. Smells like strong brewed Japanese hot green tea…but cooler and refreshing! Great for hot spring and summer days when you want a light, fresh cut grass kind of scent.

A fairly linear scent, I get green tea from this and not much else. For me, green tea needs to be balanced with other notes – floral or otherwise to make the fragrance wearable. I just can’t enjoy only green tea and nothing else on me. So now I have a full bottle, destined for a gift or give-away! This will work for those who love the sole smell of green tea.
