I’ve been wanting to explore both orchid and osmanthus lately, so this fragrance seemed like a good bet. On first spray, it definitely does have a florist shop feel, more than I was expecting. As it settles, though, it softens and takes on more powdery, milky, slightly savory aspects. The notes don’t seem especially distinct… I think orchid comes through the most, but it’s hard to identify it specifically. I’ve heard that osmanthus is supposed to hint at apricot, tea, and/or suede, and I don’t think I’m really getting any of those from Forget Me Not… Maybe a slight feeling of tea at the very least, but it feels more like a slightly powdery floral with soft, fuzzy edges. It’s clean and fresh, and I find it pleasant and comforting, probably good for casual daytime wear, definitely appropriate for work as well. The longevity is good on me, probably 8+ hours, and sillage is moderate.

I’m a big fan of white florals with greens and citrus. This is not one. This is a warmer fragrance- it takes a while to settle in and can smell a bit sharp at first but it is a very fresh floral with my body chemistry that last a log, long time. I don’t get a huge sense of the rice powder note- maybe underlying the floral which which is tinged very softly with the osmanthus which for a top note seems to blend and hang around alot longer than most. Def. on the sweeter side and the powder may pop out more for you. For me this blended beautifully with my body chemistry and I love the simplicity of it- it reminds me of a summer evening with the scent of flowers from the garden washing over me on a warm breeze.

Back in the late 1980’s, I owned a Forget-Me-Not perfume purchased at a “five and dime” store, and for the life of me I have not been able to figure out the brand, even with help from Fragranticans! However, I do remember loving the sweet, light floral fragrance, although I think it may have been a tad synthetic, especially on first application.
Library of Flowers Forget Me Not, which I won in a Fragrantica member’s giveaway, is NOT synthetic at all, thankfully, but it does otherwise remind me of that long lost perfume. It is a refreshing, light, happy, sweet, romantic floral scent, simple and feminine, which has excellent longevity and light-to-moderate sillage (making it “office friendly” with proper application). I received many compliments while wearing this delightful fragrance.
I am very glad the bottle I won is a “mini”, because, unlike a sample, I can actually wear this fragrance more than two or three times!

It’s quickly becoming my favorite! I dismiss it at first because it’s felt too ordinary but now I appreciate its soft and tranquil quality. For those of us who don’t feel like our perfume should attract attention, it’s a good one but it make its name a bit ironic. I am not sure I can distinguish the osmanthus from the rice but I know that the orchid is stronger in the dry-down and that’s what save the perfume from being too bland. Casual, unpretentious and perfect for everyday.

Big Favorite! I rarely buy full size bottles. (Usually minis or smaller versions) However, I sprayed this on while I was shopping around a Fireworks store and couldn’t stop smelling my wrist. Something about it is very nostalgic. My sister said the same thing so might be a gene pool thing, but I love this scent so much!!!
A crowd pleaser as well. Usually, I have to ask my boyfriend what he thinks of a new perfume, but when I was wearing this he made the first comment about me smelling nice.
I’ve also received many compliments from friends and strangers when I wear it. Women and men alike. If someone is around you they can get whiffs if you move or if you are hugged or otherwise in close contact.
It’s very long lasting and has a medium silage. I never find it overwhelming; even after the first spray it settles very nicely in a couple minutes. Most times, I can still pick up the scent a day or two later from a sweater or other article of clothing.
I agree with the “fresh and clean” smell. It doesn’t smell synthetic to me. Powdery but not in a mature way. Just soft and sweet – delicate and more unique in scent while being familiar. I would overall describe it as “lovely and comforting.”
I don’t agree with it being like Manifesto however, which I also wear regularly. Manifesto is stronger, more mature smelling I would say. I wear it to the office and as more of a night time scent. This one is more day time. Springy and playful. I agree it’s reminiscent of Lollia scents. Soft and sweet. I also wear “Wish” which it reminds me of.
I will keep this one around for a long time I think. Nice quality. I also like the spray. Super fine mist.

Yes, there is a rice note. It’s even pretty true to the nutty, slightly earthy character of rice. However, there’s some layer of.. I don’t know what to call it except “clean”. Like body lotion maybe? Unscented body lotion that has that “unscented” scent, if you get what I mean? Blah. Let down.

It is amazing. You can smell all of the individual notes clearly. The rice poweder lingers the longest. When you first apply the scent can be a tad overwhelming, but as time passes the three notes blend together like a beautiful rainbow.
The scent lasts a very long time. I own this in the Parfum Crema and EDP. If I want to prolong the longevity I use both the Crema and EDP together.
It is similar to YSL Manifesto. It is stronger than the Manifesto and more floral then powdery. The sillage is longer than Manifesto. I actually prefer it over the Manifesto. Even if you own one or the other they both fill a gap.

I recieved a sample of Forget Me Not handcreme, and was so in love with it that I ordered small sample vials of the whole Library of Flowers collection. I have never smelled Osmanthus on its own, so I can’t comment on how accurately it is represented here, but this is what I smell: fresh water; slightly sweet powder; clean, sharp, green-white flowers. This definitely has a synthetic “fresh & clean” thing going on, but despite my usual aversion to blatantly synthetic perfumes, I just find this one so, so pretty.
The EDP lasts 4 or 5 hours, and the scented handcreme lasts even longer. Moderate sillage. The parfum crema is intensely strong.
The powder and water notes remind me bit of Lollia At Last, but more floral and less clean laundry.
