Yes, Follow Me Day by Novaya Zarya is quite similar to Cartier So Pretty. You know it if you have tried both. I reckon there are some real perfumers-geniuses in Novaya Zarya as they certainly did a fantastic job to replicate So Pretty. Although, So Pretty is a light, watercolour like fragrance… FMD on another hand is full-bodied, very strong cologne like in the beginning which mellows into a big and the most exquisite red velvety rose. It keeps developing for hours and doesn’t fade into boring dry down, its mature, sultry rose paired with sophisticated sandalwood stays alive till the end. Phenomenal perfume. I can swap my 50ml of So Pretty for 30ml of Follow Me Day in a blink of an eye, at any time of the day in any place you say and I will get there no matter what. Enough said.

I’ve never smelled So Pretty by Cartier but “so pretty” is an apt description for Follow Me Day. The rose note is a bit jarring upon application because it is obviously synthetic but settles down quickly into a fantastic approximation of an actual tea rose. I personally don’t find this fragrance terribly powdery, there’s enough citrus that it remains bright and lively. It’s a very dainty and feminine fragrance, perfect for a leisurely day out in a sundress or for the office when something joyful and simple would brighten the mood.
I do have to wonder who is getting enormous sillage out of Follow Me Day, though. It settles down quickly to radiate around me but never overtake a whole room or even get across the room. However, the longevity was a pleasant surprise. It was easily noticeable for a better portion of the day before becoming a faint trace on my skin. It’s one of the better “cheapie” perfumes I’ve owned and it is a nice break from sweeter rosy perfumes.

Why old? pfff… It’s a very nice, soft, wonderful powdery rose! It’s a royal chic…style… It’s a timeless elegance, a fragile femininity… And…It’s a real clone of So Pretty Cartier.
