Well, this is another very intriguing scent found today sealed in a box at an estate sale, I wasn’t sure what to expect: let me attempt to describe this!
I do not get fruity from this at all, more of a spicy, slightly woody floral. The opening presents a short whiff of sweet fruit but it is gone fairly quickly and I’m left with a subtle yet long-lasting white floral with a touch of woods, I can’t say it’s cedar and sandalwood on me because it’s still quite floral. Florals tend to stick on me and they will often continue to stick out as the prominent notes in any fragrance I wear, I do wish it was the opposite in this case, where the grapefruit and cedar / sandalwood were the heavy hitters. I do think this would be perfect on a hot summer day, and maybe your chemistry will play nicer with the top and base notes! I do have a 60ml EDT for swap if interested. I am in Canada.

    „A mouthwatering summer?”
It is always interesting to try something new. Grapefruit is one of my favourite notes and black currant appears in several of likable scents, such as Boss Deep Red and Cacharel’s Amor Amor. But the two mixed together is not a combination I yet had in my collection. Result: I had to buy it!
As a summer’s scent it’s perfectly composed, especially for very hot days. It is fresh, spicy and a bit bitter. I would take it for a unisex or even a male scent. I sense no flowers at all, but since my bottle is purchased without the box and already used for some time, I do not know if it has been stored the way it should, so the scent might be ruined.
Grapefruit and black currant is a very unusual combination. When mixed together in this particular scent they leave a minty impression. I think it is an interesting opening and I was keen on knowing how this would develop. Unfortunately the longevity is poor. It disappears after an hour, leaving a tiny sniff of something spicy and sour. No sandalwood or cedar comes to the surface. The sillage is very moderate.
The bottle is, in my opinion, a bit ordinary. Since it is one in a row, I am aware of that all the bottles are more or less similar, apart from the colours and the top, therefor the ordinary expression. This one has a small black currant on its top, but it is way too pink to actually prepare the user for what is inside.
Summary: if you want to purchase one of the folies de saisons, this should not be your first choice. But since I have not tried any of the others I cannot give any advice on which to buy. I can only say that this one is not mouthwatering in any way.

I had this since I received half a bottle as a gift from an old friend, who’d outgrown it.
To me, it’s Ivresse d’Ete’s much more boring and plain elder sister. That playful citrus-note is just masked by berries and a hint of sandalwood and it’s a right mess on my skin. I had to throw out the bottle, since it didn’t work on me, and no one I knew wanted it.

    OH MY…. YVES ROCHER! 🙂
This one is soooooo lovely! I bought it blindly without reading reviews and expecting anything. I saw the offer on local trading site and what i thought were 2 minis happen to be 2x60ml bottles for 9euros. An incredible offer now i know! Since i am LOOOVING it. This is like a mix of 2 of my favorites both by YSL: “Babydoll” and “In love again”. The fruitiness of Babydoll and freshness of In love again.I confess that usually i don´t like a black currant note in a perfume, but here i doesn´t disturb me at all! So gorgeously blended with citruses with woodsy undertone. LOVELY! Looking at the notes it is so simple yet so amazingly well blended and has a really good sillage. I wish lasting power would be better though, it satys on my skin for several hours but liku usual longer on my hair and clothes.
Mouthwatering, juicy, fruity, woodsy in the best possible way. Definitly a keeper and one of the best buys recently!
I am wearing it today during a cold winter day (i know it is march, but there where i live we still have a lot of snow and minus degrees) and it is very much wearable during this time of the year as well! can´t stop saying only the best about this fragrance, now i have to try all the rest of this series.

I had this when I was in high school and I used to love it! Crisp citrusy floral with sweet undertone, somewhat similar to YSL In Love Again.

L’Eau à la Bouche en Eté is the perfect summer scent evolved from the spring scent Le Nez au Vent au Printemps.
I can smell lots of yellow fruits and red berry notes (no orange notes, no citruses, I did not detect any grapefruit) and a lovely tea note, similar to J Lo’s Still, but all in all it smells like cold red fruity tea poured over berries and yellow apples.
The scent is not sweet at all, so it is great for summer.
The lack of sugary notes guarantee that you feel as fresh as if you just came out of the shower – even on really hot days.
I must say that I like YR’s idea of making summer scents that obviously are fruity but not sweet at all.
    Good staying power, too.
Would buy it again in an instant.
