I’ve had this perfume for quite a few years now and I have to say it gets better for me every year.
I love the potent, berry, floral, candied rice type opening.
It’s drydown is very beautiful, very long lasting.
It’s got a old fashion, make up in a boiled candy shop thing going on to me.
I can imagine some people not liking it, definitely could be to sweet for many, but for me it’s a massive sweet love.
I’ve been wearing it for three days straight and each time I reapply it I say mmmm.
It’s very perfumey, It probably smells cheap and nasty for some but for me it’s a Candy Sweet, Powdery, Lolly, Chypre, boudoir type , If that’s even possible.
A+

At the first pschitt, I was really dissapointed, because of the red thyme it smelled like cough syrup, but it started to smell better once it dried down. Now it reminds me of Euphoria by Calvin Klein and Deep Red by Hugo Boss. It was not what I hoped it would be and since I already own so much perfume, which I all like better, I asked my best friend, who used to own a bottle of Euphoria if she would like to have this perfume and fortunately she said yes.
The bottle does look different though, more eliptic, not square, no corners at all.
Twelve hours have passed since I sprayed this scent on my wrists and I can still clearly smell it, so it really has a long lasting longevity.
I can still clearly smell the red thyme and I guess that I am also smelling the raspberry, the rose, the white musk and the patchouli from the description of ID Perfumes.
EDIT: I recently smelled Hypnotic Poison for the first time and I was also reminded of Folie Rouge then.
EDIT 2: When my best friend smelled Folie Rouge, she didn’t like it that much either, she finds that it smells like candy and chemical. So she gave it to her mother and her mother said that she liked it, but since I haven’t spoke to her mother myself, I don’t know why she likes it.
EDIT 3: Now I also see Folie Rouge for sale on the site of Pierre Ricaud with the bottle that is depictured here, but it is cheaper than the one in the bottle that I got, so it seems that they rebottled it, the new bottle is a real improvement, compared to the one shown above.

I haven’t been thrilled at 1st pschittt. But I gave it a chance. Finally, it’s a very good fragrance, sensual, highly sensitive. It refers to the music hall world, with its dancers and I imagine easily girls facing their mirrors in the dressing room. It’s a feminine world, powdery, sweet, very “boudoir”.
Rice notes, musk and patchouli are very present, with a touch of lipstick smell and strawberry. I would have like more red fruits.
It’s an unusual gourmand, original. Nice find for me.
But very bad lasting power (as a lot of ID perfumes…).
