Is anyone able to provide me a sample or know where I can get one? I can only find one bottle online for $125 or thereabouts on US Amazon -which will cost me considerably more because I’m Australian. I don’t want to spend that kind of money on something I may hate, but I love bergamot and other JCB fragrances so I really want to sample this one.

Ombre Bergamot is a sharp, green scent. The main notes for me are clothes. rosemary and something that smells like fern and fir- the scent of forest after the rain, with a mossy background. Above all, this is not as much about citrus as about herbs and spices. I hardly get any bergamot, lemon or orange at all.
The first whiff is not particularly pleasant, it does get better as the scent mellows down. It is however on a masculine/cologne/aftershave side and I think it’s not really feminine. I do love unisex scents, but this is not even unisex, but plainly masculine. Would smell nice on a man, especially if he likes forest/fern scents.

Completely agree with trialogica. A disturbing explosion of Indian spices somewhat relieved by lemon, but still a warehouse of Indian herbs and spices. What’s worse, it’s potently rancid and incredibly soap resistant. Not my cup of tea.

JCB Bergamote smells exactly like Asian chili paste with a dash of lemon. It is spicy, not very well balanced with hint of clove undertone. Don’t really fancy smelling like my kitchen so I had to pass.

It’s difficult to describe this scent. It starts sour, almost vinegar-like, but fortunately this disappears quickly, and I can smell something thats a bit musty, maybe oakmoss. Longevity is quite good, about 4 hours, in the end I smell soft musk which I like. IMO it’s more a harsh and male scent and not well blended don’t buy blind, you could be disappointed.
