Fragrance Review For Fleurs Blanches Outremer
Notes: White flowers, honeysuckle, gardenia, lilac and jasmine
White Flowers delivers what it’s selling: white flowers. It’s a perfumy very strong gardenia and jasmine fragrance but this bouquet also contains lilac and honeysuckle. It smells green and white. It’s realistic to white flower smells which means of course it’s quite strong. And yet because there is no top middle and base note pyramid the scent does not last very long and it has very weak sillage. It’s great to wear when you can’t find anything else to wear which is what happens to me even with over 200 fragrances. It’s like putting on a little white outfit because it’s pristine, formal and easy to wear. I really do enjoy white floral fragrances as they evoke a lot of things: purity, freshness, soap, or weddings. This one is more along the lines of white floral soap. It smells great while it’s on me but it doesn’t last any longer than 1 hour and a half. I wish it lasted longer. Lovely.

This is a beautiful floral, very fresh and clean but with good longevity and sillage. I do get the gardenia note, but the honeysuckle and lily stand out much more on my skin. I wish I got a little more lilac, but I’m very pleased with it. Two small sprays got me about 9 hours of very noticeable scent, and a bit still lingered even after showering. I’ll definitely re-purchase this!

A tender mix of Lily of the Valley and Lilac. Very soft, very romantic, “pastoral”-like.

An animalic white floral. Not indolic, but certainly somehow has that note like warm human skin and sweat. Actually this is very pleasant for the style and price point. I’m getting more jasmine and lilac than anything else, maybe a tinge of honeysuckle. Longevity was 4 hours on my skin, projection was average. This is my favorite of the Outremer line that I’ve tried.

Given that I despise all things Gardenia, I don’t know where the others are getting the Gardenia note in this. I don’t smell it at all. I get lots of Lily of the Valley, and definitely Lilies. It is sharp and a little acidic. It packs a punch. Don’t spray it on too much and stand at a distance from the nozzle. This potion has crazy projection.

I love lily, honeysuckle, and gardenia….this scent is heavy of fresh and floral while being slight on musk. It’s not perfumy–it’s feminine and blissful…..ooolala! I love Outremer!

I picked up a teeny tiny cute little .5 oz bottle of this at Anthropologie. I had never heard of this French company. It smells light, feminine, and so so familiar. After some brain-wracking, I realized it’s a very light version of J Lo’s Glow, which smells similar to Kai, which smells similar to this. 🙂 A pleasant, soft mix of various white petals, and white musk. Glow is a little too strong for me to wear comfortably, and Kai is little too white-musky for me, but they both have nice aspects to them. So this is a very inexpensive alternative for when I’m craving that powdery-clean scent they both share. It actually smells higher-quality to me than either of those.
ETA: I’m really noticing honeysuckle (my fav!!) and some very clean, soft lily as I wear this more. If I compare the honeysuckle in this to my fav perfume ever, Annick Goutal’s Le Chevrefuille, it is slightly dry, polleny honeysuckle, where Le Chevrefuille is clear, sparkling nectar. Both are beautiful. The lily reminds me of just a pinch of the heart notes in Baiser Vole.

This is a very intriguing fragrance. Very intense and heady, but at the same time very fresh: just like meadow on a very hot summer day. Definitely not for a shy woman, but for strong and confident one.
